Corgi renovation Batmobile No. 267. Toy model cast.

  • The Mittoy company, the owner of the Corgi brand, started the production of a very complex Batmobile cast model in 1966. This model had five versions and was still produced in the 1970s. It was very technologically advanced. He had a chainsaw in the front of the hood, rockets behind the car and active suspension.
    To display the subtitles in your language in the movie, please press C on the computer or the three dots on the mobile phone in the movie.
    Very carefully made figures of Batman and Robin additionally increased the interest in this model among children. My copy was in a residual condition. The metal of the front of the body was broken. I rebuilt the missing part with liquid metal. I also cast Batman and Robin figures out of polyurethane resin. I made new wheels because the old ones were very damaged.
    I was able to do all of this thanks to my friends who sent me copy parts for my model. The Batmobile box was very advanced, it had a display insert and a user manual, a club card for young fans of the Batman series and an iron-on t-shirt with the Batman logo. Thank you for watching the movie, I publish videos with the repair of cars on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

    At 14:28, as the characters were slowly covered in pink goo, all I could hear was William Dozier saying, "Will the dynamic duo escape in time? Tune in next week for 'No Ooze is Good Ooze,' same Bat-time, same Bat-channel!"

    Great work but no cigar...missing the day glow red pinstripes and red bat- symbol of correct style. Why go to such pains to only miss on such trivial points? The box and everything else is a work of art.

    • @DavidLJarvis
      @DavidLJarvis 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exaaaactly! I was wondering the same thing. The Corgi never had the red pin stripes (at least not the ones I owned from the late 1960's and the one I still own from '78) but the red side bat logos are still made and can be purchased.

  • @jimmyhawke
    @jimmyhawke 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    The bat emblem on the door is wrong. It is a red-orange bat that is supposed to match the pinstripes on the car. I had an original Corgi Batmobile when I was young. And it had rubber tires and with pot metal wheels that also had orange bats on them.

    • @22448824
      @22448824 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The one in the video is the later edition without bat logo on the wheels. Neither that one or the earlier one had the red pinstripes on like the actual Batmobile. This really annoyed me as a child so I painted some on it which, although a bit DIY certainly brought it to life. Still got it, perished tyres and all.

  • @headwyvern11
    @headwyvern11 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    was supposed to be a red bat on the door to match the original, no?

    Well yes, but how about a _demonstration_ of the "rocket launcher" or the "bumper cleaver" or the "exhaust flame" features..?? I mean, that's what was _cool_ about this model. Firing lit matches from the rocket launcher. Those were the days.

    • @DrWhosmate
      @DrWhosmate 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hah yeah, house full of "smokers" and wool rugs so even the worst burn was just overlooked as "smurf bites". 😉The little red(?) plastic rice like 'rockets' got lost pretty fast, so after that it was a natural progression to the most dangerous thing you could ping out of there, occasionally if you got the placement right, you could set off a paper cap and fire a pin out of it. Yup, back when the only cure for boredom was finding new ways to permanently disable yourself with the most innocuous of items. 🤣

    I bought an old brass floor lamp at a yard sale years ago, and just this morning I laid it on its side to polish it. One of these batmobile toys is lodged sideways into a little groove in the underside of the base. I can't imagine how some kid managed to get it in there so tightly...I've tried hard to dislodge it, and it's not coming out.

    Legendarny samochód...
    (Właściwie dwa, ponieważ Batmobil z serialu telewizyjnego był kiedyś przerobionym Lincolnem Futurą z '55 roku, ale był też Chev Impala z '58 roku, który został przerobiony na Batmobil).
    A teraz jest Batmobil autorstwa Paula👍🏼😁.
    Świetna robota, jestem zachwycony.
    Nawet brakująca część podwozia nie stanowi problemu😎👍🏼.
    A "ekipa" powstała w tym samym czasie...😁
    Ja też miałam ten model jako dziecko (tylko bez Batmana i Robina... jakoś obaj "zniknęli"🤔🙄).
    Dziękuję za podzielenie się, drogi Pawle, zdecydowane kciuki w górę ode mnie 👍🏼

    Życzę Tobie i Twojej rodzinie miłego weekendu i pozostańcie bezpieczni i zdrowi.

    And now there is a Batmobile by Paul👍🏼😁.
    Great work, I'm thrilled.
    Even a missing chassis part is no problem😎👍🏼.
    And the "crew" was made at the same time...😁
    I also had the model as a child (only without Batman and Robin... somehow they both "disappeared"🤔🙄).
    Thanks for sharing my dear Paul, definitely a thumbs up from me for this 👍🏼
    (It's nice to see memories from childhood again).
    Have a great weekend to you and your family and stay safe and sound.

    Very nice restoration. This version had the towing hook extension on the turbine exhaust for the Bat Boat on a trailer, which could be bought separately or a combined boxed set. Models without the hook had the exhaust flame connected to a crank on the rear axle that pulsed the flame in and out of the exhaust as the car moved.

    Yeah... [sigh...] I had a Corgi Batmobile, it ended-up in much the same state... But at least the Dynamic Duo kept all the bad villains under control in our house and garden. If the odds seemed stacked against them, they often called in reinforcements from Spectrum (SPV/FPV), or S.H.A.D.O (Mobile/Interceptor). and keeping tabs were always; HM Secret Service (Bond in his Gold Aston Martin). If things got even tougher, then Greenhornet and International Rescue (FAB One) would show up and when it seemed like there was no hope for the Caped Crusader and his athletic assistant, then there was always Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang and The Pink Panther (in his pink 'Trimobile') to finally bring the baddies to justice.
    .
    Meanwhile.... On the other side of the world (garden), hundreds of Airfix 1:72 German soldiers are dug-in, on the top of 'Hill Foxtrot' (the rockery), in well fortified bunkers, with 88mm AA and numerous mg nests and dug-in Panzers. Down slope, advanced units of various Allied detachments are getting into position to storm 'Hill Foxtrot'.... As they set-up forward operations, a flotilla of reinforcing landing craft are approaching across the vast green sea (lawn), this is the main invasion force, of US marines, British Commandos, French Resistance and Russian Cossacks.... (Always good for fight Cossacks, even when everyone else is running around the battlefield in armoured vehicles...). Overhead, full air superiority is maintained by squadrons of Spitfires, Hurricanes, Moscquitos, P38, P47, P51, a Yak, a Lavochkin and a DC3 carrying a stick of the 1st Paras.
    .
    Alone.... Way out over the vast green sea, a lone Sunderland FB patrols for marauding U-boots. Whilst on the patio air-base, several allied heavy bombers await scramble.
    .
    Meanwhile..... Hidden in his own dug-out F.O.P sat motionless, in full camouflage, his steely-grey eye focussing down a telescopic sight at the Lilliputian battle scene unfolding around the neighbouring rockery, with indifferent curoisity. Idly, he (Action Man) swivels his sniper rifle, as something has caught his eye, further afield. He adjusts focus and gulps... Oops, things are going to get hot... Here comes the family cat! I'm off....

    Hi. Sad story: my little cousin was murdered back in 1999. Clearing out his stuff, we found an old Batmobile, just like this, that I had played with and then had given him when he was little - back in the 70s. It's in similar - rough - shape. It had been stepped on and beaten up and Batman and Robin were missing, etc.
    Do you have some kind of contact that I might inquire about having the Batmobile restored? I'd like to, someday, give it to the newest member of our family - a little guy born to my niece in January. Please let me know.
    Thanks.
