- The launch of Concord has to be one of the most disastrous launches in triple A multiplayer game history. And it's just further proof that. people are rightfully done with live services. Let's talk about it.

Watch Sony realize what people actually want to play when Astro launches
Man I can’t believe you barely mentioned about Astro Bot. Another game that’s going to be peak fiction and it’s a PlayStation game too! People should be playing that over Concord as well.
What’s all the hype about tho? I loved the lil tech demo but it’s just a platformer. Is Sony that starved for creative games?
I mean every console needs a good mascot platformer, and Astro Bot fits the bill. :D
to think japan studio was nuked for this.....man.
Here after Firewalk announced Concord going offline
another reason why people are tired of these live service and shooter games is that they all just feel and look the same, I look back on the game awards and other presentations and remember how many space shooters with battle passes would be shown, it all starts to blend together, none of them sticking out with a creative look, style, or even cool ideas. I'll give overwatch some credit it has really nice and colorful character designs that stick out.
I'm not saying it's just shooters that has this problem, sports, racing, pretty much any genre has this issue, but the former is the most saturated at this point, it's actually insane.
just be more creative and off the wall.
And there we go, Concord will shut down this Friday, new sad record
Wait this is the first time I’ve seen his face what do you mean he isn’t the Fierce Deity
I love when you find a new channel, never seen any of their content, and they go “it’s been a long time since I talked to you on cam like this” and I’m like … is it?
Everything we love is becoming a subscription nowadays. It really is sad…
Sony still has a backup plan they still have 12 to go apparently!
I’e seen some people call the Horizon games an industry plant game (though as someone who got the plat for and highkey enjoyed both, I’d personally disagree), but Concord has to be the biggest industry plant I’ve ever seen due to seeing absolutely *no one* hyped for it. And hopefully it and games similar to it like Crash Team Rumble and Suicide Squad shows companies that we want actual good games instead of mediocre cash cows designed to drain our wallets. It’s like the second coming of microtransactions, but in a way that wastes much more time and money.
every time you upload, without fail, I'm like: "oh yeah, the fierce diety link from twitter also has a YT channel" LMAO But I like your videos, so please keep jumpscaring my TH-cam feed lol
Pretty good impromptu video let alone topic, and those NIKKE bits got me dying. But yeah, we're pretty much getting tired of these live service games at this point for sure.
I consider playing the upcoming Visions of Mana over Concord any day of the week as well LOL
I think I can appreciate live service games like Dead by Daylight and Master Duel for giving you substantial content out the gate and giving a lot of leeway in completing missions and passes without devoting your entire life to the game.
A Sony game with launch numbers in the triple digits is honestly impressive
As someone who tries to play as many games and series as I can and has a big backlog, live-service games are a big turn-off for me because there isn’t really an end goal to them. They require you to stick to these games for months, years, or even forever in order to get the most out it, like a 2nd job like you’ve mentioned. And it’s a lot more likely that the game won’t be complete at launch, get worse if you’re thinking of joining later on, or be predatory with their monetization. I’ll always be a single player gamer, especially after all of these live-service games that have just flopped both reception and money-wise
I hate live service games since the happy wars days back in the 360.
Seeing the failure of Warlander and god awful FOAMSTARS MAKES ME HATE TOYLOGIC AND RE-CREATE HAPPY WARS INTO A REAL GAME.
It is my 2nd addiction other than Adventure Quest
When Happy Dungeons became my GO-TO game. It suddenly shut down,
it makes me realize the ownership of games and pondering why I don't feel nostalgic at all.
Its because i lost my sense of discovery
Finding things i have never seen or heard off. That's how you create nostalgia both new and old.
Now, I crave obscure titles that give me anemoia i could've have.
Please to any young people out there.
Stop playing Minecraft, terraria and ROBLOX delete them.
Make a effort of finding hidden gems of obscure titles from old fourm websites NOT BIG SOCIAL MEDIAS.
you will be on your knees and thanking me for breaking the modern loop.
Oh wait you can't, most of you have short attention span of a goldfish. Its impossible
Go read a book like you're brushing your teeth.
Though we do have examples of a good game that’s single player that didn’t perform well and that’s Prince of Persia the Lost Crown. Which that could just come down to Ubisoft’s fault and how they’re not typically trusted. However, Lost Crown is phenomenal and it’s a shame that more people don’t check it out.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth too. I think that’s because Remake’s ending left a bad taste in some fan’s mouths.
Never forget what Sony did to Japan Studio
I'm dissapointed that you aren't actually the fierce deity
I hate when companies do live service games that will gotta in a matter of months, or even years. That's why I prefer singleplayer titles instead Live service titles that require an internet connection
I hope Concord's failure make Sony wake in a similar manner to how Japanese people severely disliked Ubisoft's new Assassin's Creed, and discovered/realised about Thomas Lockley
So not only Concord release at a bad time for being released next to Wukong Black Myth but also got released to the player testing of DeadLock, Valve's new multiplayer game...i'll simply say that i wish for the best for Firewalk Studios, because they will definitely need it
Now that I am done with the video, I did love Overwatch back in its heyday and I really enjoyed Avengers 2020, but no matter what, I always had the mindset to appreciate them as games to have fun with at my own pace, little different from single player games. And I feel I was better off for it. And don’t worry man. I’ve got a pretty good line up of games to get at launch for this year in mind, including Shadow Gens.
The cynical part of me thinks that these games will be here forever. Unfortunately the ones that are successful are usually really successful and make tons of money
And Sony double down on their PSN account mandate on Steam that makes every game they release to certain countries that aren't supported by PSN become non-existent by default.
3:12 I'm at this part of the video as of right now and personally, I don't find these sort of community scores credible because ignoring all the review-bombing incidents that have happened for arbitrary reasons, I feel like they've more been used as a form of protesting against company decisions or the reputations of someone more than actually talking about the game, which have been more taken over by people parroting TH-camrs or have more nefarious intentions as time has gone on. Granted, that hasn't been as prevalent in Concord's case, but still.
I feel like you shouldn’t be able to review a game if you never played it. People will always believe what their favourite TH-camrs will say and just take their opinions as fact even when sometimes it’s not true. It’s true in this case but reviewbombing is such a scummy thing to do at times
The only concord i wanna buy is in the grocery store.
Sony planned 7-14 live service games! Wild
The Last of Us 2 could've just had a FUN multiplayer game, but they had to make it a live service of sorts
London studios had a modern day medieval game set in London.... And they shut down the studio
Twisted Metal live serving got cancelled this year as well
Bungie acquisition as a whole was a mistake tbh
Bend studio's next game might be an open world live service games from what we know.... And I'd rather have a Days Gone 2 :(
They even have an online Horizon game ...
I just hope Astro Bot sells well so we can get back on track with the single player games, i like online multiplayer games BUT I'M DONE with the Destiny's, with yhe overwatch's and every battle royale live service games smh
The only exception is Marvel Rivals because holy cheese that's a good game
I REALLY want live service, and even microtransactions and AI, to just die!! I never heard of Concord, but Mannix did a negative review on it, got it from Messages though. I really hope MK1 shall suffer just as much, if not more, in order for Woker Bros to sell it out completely! Especially after Khaos Reigns.... Maybe do a nitpick on it, or maybe about snobbish TH-camrs or something. I despise MK1!! I want it and other games to get a damn system crash!!
Tbf, I was never into Overwatch; so glary and overhyped. Also, if you chase a trend, you're a failure, instead of just being yourself and unique; or even chasing TH-camrs and develop into echo chambers. Maybe make a vid on that and big channels.
Destiny 2 is still hype to this day so it will never die! MK1 and live service will keep going and Sony will never give up!
Fine commentary and all, but the 480p face cam isn't very appealing.
Also stop using Opera, it's bloated Chinese spyware.
I like how you look at user reviews & not critic reviews.
Nikke? Ew
