      Hey Jesse. What are the pros/cons of going that narrow on handlebars? I’m only an inch taller than you and wanna decide if I should cut mine

      @@DavidFoundCo Pro's are more maneuverability and responsiveness and clearance, con's are twitchy feeling and less stable.

      Loved your talk on sizing! As a 5’5 120lbs female with longer arms I feel like my medium instinct is pushing the limits of fit. Looking at the altitude and considering the small but feel like I’m going to be too big.

    Excellent loved the attention to detail, you don't get that level of discussion in most bike checks.

    Best bike check ive ever seen. Its refreshing to see a racer who actually knows his bike to. blows my mind a bit when some guys just dont care or have no idea what there setup is

    Most thorough bike check I’ve ever watched. When I saw that this was over 30 minutes, I was asking myself wtf you were going to review that would take that long. Lol. But you covered everything imaginable! Nice work.

    This was great, well thought out questions and Jesse always has well though out answers. Now I have to do the math and calculate my bar length from Jesse's 720 at 5'6" to my height.... damn! I really should have paid attention in school!

    • @downtimepodcast
      @downtimepodcast  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, Jesse definitely thinks about everything he does. Enjoy the maths!

    That was awesome. Maybe not as fun with folks that don’t sweat the details as much as Jesse, but I’ll tune into a bunch of these. Great job

    nice one. I really like hearing the "why" behind each component and geo measurement. Alloy vs Carbon, short vs long etc.

    This was very cool and it would be nice to see more Downtime bike checks! I love Jesse's cerebral approach to bike setup - such a rad, in tune dude with his bikes.

    Chris, great show for us nerds! 👌🏼 Especially those with Altitudes! Any chance on future ones you can do close up shots on the different parts of the bike as you’re talking about them?! 👍🏼

      Thanks Aled, glad you liked the nerd out! Yeah I'd like to do some more with close ups, but this was all about proving out the format. Seems to be going down well though.

    Always useful to hear the rider weight and height. Half of the information here would be useless with out establishing that reference first.
