      While the can opener *worked*, it's still pants compared to any other brand of opener. It struggles way too much and takes too long. I suspect if you used it on a real big can that it wouldn't even be able to open it.

      It's the hallmark of a good reviewer. Sometimes a product just performs poorly on the basis of one or two user errors and otherwise works great. Or sometimes a product is just too "fiddly". You really have to put it through its paces and ask yourself if you might be doing something wrong to really figure out if it's the one or the other.

    • @soupsgord
      @soupsgord 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just wish he would google how to correctly use the products he reviews before he reviews them so he can give them an honest chance. I mean it’s silly to say a basket steamer doesn’t steam veggies well when he has NO idea how to use one properly and it’s been around for decades- makes him look dumb when he is not. There have been other products that have been around for a while he just came across that he wrote off because he hadn’t researched how to use them. SMH

    My dad was born with a birth defect that left him with a different looking left hand. He has no fingers/grip. So growing up we always had an electric can opener for him. I never actually learned to use a manual can opener until college and Im embarrassed to say, I really struggled with manual can openers for a long time because I was so used to electric ones.

    For pushing out the core stuck in the apple corer I use a port wine cork, the kind with a plastic top hat stuck to it.

    With that apple cider you could make a chocolate covered caramel apple. With the caramel in the center & coat it in chocolate or another candy coating to keep it in.

    Bought the slush machine a while back. Works fantastically. Uses a HUGE amount of ice though.

    Fun fact: the Margarita machine inventor (who comes from my home state of Texas) was inspired by slurpee machines (the American version of slush puppies basically) so you could potentially make margaritas with that machine. 😆
    Fun fact #2 : in Texas Margaritas are not a gendered drink. I was shocked when people outside the state called margaritas a girly drink. Tell that to the manly cowboys who drink it. 😆

      We have Slush Puppies in the US, too: a lot of cinemas have Slush Puppy brand slushies, and my high school also had a snack stand in the cafeteria on Fridays, and that had a Slush Puppy machine as well. We're just used to thinking of "slushie" as synonymous with "Slurpee," the brand-name for 7-11's slushies.

      I am so glad you posted this comment! My first thought was this would get cold enough to make margaritas?!?! Might have to invest in one and give it a try! As a fellow Texan, I 2nd the notion that margaritas are definitely not a girly drink! Especially the purple ones! 😉

      I don't live in Texas, but I've never heard of a margarita being a gendered drink, either. When in the world did that start, lol?

      BooDotBoo I’m not sure, I’ve just heard a few people call it a girly drink, and was really confused by it. 🤷🏻‍♀️😆

      Any cocktail with sugar syrup added is considered a "girly drink" because it tastes sweeter.
