Hey everyone. I've seen a lot of comments and complaints about this video and how the theme doesn't fit(read my description if you wanna know where I stand on that, but I'm about to say it again because people don't tend to read things). It's just an experiment yall. To be fair, I prefer Junkie XL/Hans Zimmers score and it is so freaking unique and gives me chills every time. This ain't something to bash that. It is an EXPERIMENT. This fits so well. Williams's theme has so much power when he finally takes off. And the soundtrack from Superman Returns is very emotional, which is good for this scene.
For me, this John Williams' score fits very well in this scene, especially in 1:36 ....great job bro! If Snyder did add just a little portion of John Williams' score, this will be great. Anyways, I also prefer Hans Zimmer's theme, but in this portion of movie, it will be much better if John WIlliams' score was designated.
Exactly, that bit of music at 1:36 should be always be the bit they use in the epic scenes. But some people use the soft parts of the music with the hard parts of the scene if that makes sense. It's like no one can get it right 😂
This theme doesn't fit so well with Henry Cavill's Superman but worked for this scene in particular. As much as I love Hans Zimmer/Junkie XL's theme for Superman, John Williams's theme is still the most iconic superhero theme of all time for me, it's perfect.

@@AadithIyer Finally, someone who actually agrees with me when it comes to the classic themes. Most people like to hate on Elfman for what he did with Josstice League, but his incorporation of the classic themes was appreciated by some. Though I will say, the Snyder Cut soundtrack was amazing.
I honestly started laughing, because of how funny it would have been if it was in the actual Snyder cut and how the music, while a nice experiment, doesn’t fit the rest of the films mood. XD
It wasn't, it was the original John Williams soundtrack. In Superman returns they used the same music but timed it all wrong so it didn't match the scenes. And then sometimes didn't use it at all when it would have been perfect. The people involved in that film were idiots, they had an opportunity to make an epic film but they made a bland one. They had the rights to the original music and the character, and millions of dollars yet they still made a boring film. Idiots.
THIS IS HOW John Ottman/Williams music can be used in a fittable way... Don't say that doesn't fit this version of Superman, that's generalizing too much.

For those saying move on from Christopher reeves and the John Williams Superman theme doesn’t fit the tone which makes sense but Remember that the John Williams theme is what makes Superman well Superman it doesn’t matter what version it is(besides regime Superman) the John Williams theme will always be the true theme of the kryptonion of hope no what matter it is the John Williams theme means hope for humanity if Superman is there and he’s the symbol of truth justice and the American way and most importantly the embodiment of what hope is and what it means
If it was the red and blue suit, I think it would fit better, I saw someone did a great edit and gave the suit its classic colors, you should do it on top of that scene!

Henry Cavill's Superman can easily don any previous themes. Williams scores are perfect for him. Hans Zimmer's is really good too. They should've scored both in harmony.

We all grew up seeing Superman the Man of Steel in red and blue suit. But it's the vibe of the black & dark silver suit (or the recovery suit) are just different, cool, and bad ass at the same time. The red and blue are the symbols of Earth and Humanity, while the black & silver suit are the symbols of Krypton and his people, the Kryptonians as the last surviving pure blood Kryptonian.
Up until the part where he flys it works, but at that moment it doesn't quite work. Have you considered doing another experiment where it starts with the Superman Returns music then at the "Fly son its time" where he takes off flying you switch to the Junkie XL version? Side Note, honestly parts of the Superman Returns score to this day still remind me of Lion King.
I don't understand why people keep trying to throw this old dated them onto Henry Cavill's version of Superman. It simply doesn't fit. Henry Cavill's superman already has his own great theme.
@@elijahlee3610 No, a lot of it's quite good. I'd recommend Superman vs The Elite and Superman: Unbound if you haven't seen them, great movies. The Superman/Batman movies are also good if you're in the mood from a Superman and Batman team up movie. All-Star Superman is also fantastic, worth the time to check out. I'm just saying Zack Snyder's doesn't really GET Superman, his Superman isn't bad though. Not groundbreakingly fantastic but not bad either.
How they don't use the John Williams' "Superman March" in every Superman movie is beyond me. Pay all the necessary royalties, and pepper all the Superman/Justice League movies with that awesome sound.

I've learned more to liking Zimmer's score as time's gone on. But something Zimmer never wrote - at least for me, and this is personal preference - he never wrote a strong overture for Supe. A lot of his parts stand well as accompaniment to William's score, but Zimmer's main overtures just don't come up on top as majestically as John's. That said you've meshed them together well. Good job.

Umm, if you listen closely to Hans Zimmer's Superman theme, he has notes from John Williams' original score. John's version was very much layered, Hans' version is much simpler.
