I find it funny that in the beginning you were talking about how the dual wield halberd moveset was best at hitting multiple people at once, and then at 11:02 you hit the entire 3 man squad as they pulled up on you with a single L1, that’s some perfect foreshadowing lol

I would love to see a showcase on flails (Knight Rider flail IMO). Elden Ring was the first SoulsBorne to ever have the flail weapon type.

Still wanting to see a Rusty Anchor build. I've been having a blast with it and Wild Strike, though it apparently pairs well with many AoWs that involve lots of weapon strikes on account of it being a Piercing weapon. Also, the damage on it can be nutty.
I used to run vulgar halberd setups, one saw one shotel back when everyone was using the infinite stamina greatshield builds. They killed. Haven’t been using it at all in the most recent patch. I should give it a go! Thanks for the great vid as always, Chase. Will you be coming back to invasions?
Of course, spent a while at my gfs familys now she is visiting me. In about 3 weeks my stream schedule will return to normal

Chase with halberds is scarier than invading multi-sunbro's with rivers of blood/moonveil. It might even be as scary as him with a larger Gravitas on Alabaster Lord's Sword, we'll see it one day

Chase is pretty frightening with a Moonveil. His swordmage build is ridiculously powerful.

One of my favorites, I don't use the blood buildup just like that it's there to apply a little pressure. It's got great damage for it's light weight so you can build out some very good low stamina powerstanced builds using two of these. Easy to find early. Very cool weapon

Just got back from a vacation, time to binge EIGHT showcases (from Astel to this one).
Today is a blessing.
So the thing about Dark Souls 2 PvP, was builds stood out more than DS3 because of the combat shield variety, twinblades, and powerstancing present in the game. You also had so much more sorceries, miracles, and okay bit in pyromancy, but hex magic was its own defined thing, and invasions were usually more dictated by Soul Memory as a system, as were to allow phantoms joining the host. There was also a surprising few designated hotspots for covenants like the two Royal Rat sites, the Bell Guarding locations, Covenant of Champions, etc, and the means to be enabled to be invaded wasn't as opt in specific. Then in Dark Souls 2 there was that many more cosplay armors and boss weapons to choose from. In Dark Souls 2 there was also quite a few punish spots for dealing with most hackers via gravity. Besides all that, I honestly DO enjoy the Majuula music the most of any hub area we've had and the NPCs were mainly much more jovial up until they hollowed. But you weren't so likely that many people would be spamming things like Dark Souls 3's Chaos Vestiges. Honestly, I really missed how damn useful their torches were, and clearly Fromsoft agreed when they added more torches. The only downside to torches in DS2 was they could be extinguished and had a timer, but you could light the environment's torches and braziers. TBH DS2 had so many good ideas.
Dual wielding these carried me through most of my first taunter tongue run, really great weapons
A little tip for anyone using an innate bleed weapon, never use the blood infusion, it overrides the innate bleed instead of adding to it.

These look like they're straight out of Bloodborne but unfortunately don't feel like it with how slow they are. Idk what it is but I'm just horrible with these things. Maybe I just need more practice with them.
Might as well go with the other Bloodborne looking weapon next and do the Ghiza's Wheel!

I recommend the Omen Cleaver, it's got a unique two-handed heavy that is really fun to use. I use it with a Faith build with lightning scaling on sacred slash and I get over a thousand damage (with the help of buffing).
Another awesome showcase, I love this weapon.

My favorite with this weapon has using the Ash of War "Sword Dance" with the frostbite aspect. Catches both duelists and invasion victims off guard with how much distance it closes, especially being on a Halberd class.
Yeah, sword dance is truly busted with its range, aoe and timings :) Ever saw that on pike? it slaps whole arena it feels :D
I used to off hand this with the repeating thrusts aow and the great epee with glint pebble aow main hand. super fun build

People don’t realize also that putting occult scaling on this weapon with the Ashe of war Poisonous Mist is way OP like 1 hit and you proc poison. Then imagine Kindrid of Rot Exaltation and Lord of Blood’s Exaltation with the Mushroom helm and you’re doing Godly amounts of damage. To be even more Vulgar, use Dragon communion Seal to cast Rotten Breath if you can hit it as a back up aoe. I’ve done it so many times that invasions with this setup I mentioned are cake
Friends, family, we are gathered here today to mourn another day without our beloved Weapon Showcase of the Ornamental Straight Sword; a loss I'm certain many of us feel very strongly about. Although we love Chase the Bro to our hearts' fullest contents, we are all involved in the love and safety we project towards our most cherished straight sword. Praise the Sun.
(I love this series and I do hope we all take my constant nagging for one of my favorite weapons in jest. Im just glad Chase keeps these coming so quickly and is always the stand up guy we know him to be

Could you do a video on what to put into your buff flask for the various types of builds?
PvE I know, but these are what I beat my 2nd playthrough with. Occult infused and spamming jump attacks, they pretty much insta-bled most enemies, two-hit bled minibosses, and trivialized most boss encounters. Even if an enemy is immune to blood loss, the jumping L1 plus talisman and the arcane scaling made the AR high enough to where I didn't even need to worry about changing weapons.
My go-to ash of war was Spectral Spear for most of the run, which proved to be surprisingly potent. Super long range, incredible poise damage, low fp cost, great tracking and homing. Most importantly, because the majority of enemies like to lean slightly forward while marching directly towards the player, coupled with the fact that Spectral Spear aims a bit higher than your lock-on at mid range, I tended to get free headshots more often than not, without even trying. I can't count the number of times a panic-spear came in clutch and poise-broke bosses or straight up landed a kill. I also never had to worry about enemies staying out of reach or flying.
I hate the Vulgar Militia these saws come from, but the weapons themselves are probably one of my favorites in the entire game now.
I had a feeling these would be strong I asked for you to try these out in occult awhile back

I just started a new file the other day with this exact set up. Basically I had two weapons to choose from the spiked spear or the saw, the saw was much easier to farm then I slapped the spectral spear on there boom insane arcane weapons before fighting any bosses.
I’ve been using one of these in my right hand n a dagger in the left it works so well !
You can run that with hoarfrost stomp to do both bleed and frost

We haven't seen many hammers or great hammers! The morning star has good roll catch potential with its unique thrusting attacks, the greatstars has really good synergy with several ashes of war, would love to see you use either

Should show duel Magma Blades. Definitely a fun build for duels. I haven't tried them in invasions. Would love to see you try it though.
Claw or fist weapon with quickstep would be pretty cool. It's super aggressive and very fun. (Can't hit some enemies with peculiar geometries, but that doesn't matter for PvP.)
This setup is actually pretty damn good and not talked about much for arcane bleed type weapons. I rock these on occult, dual nagakiba bleed, dual Elonaras, and the occult large club for smashing :)
It would be cool to see the Cinqueda dagger in action especially since it's a strength dagger
I think there needs to be the Black knife. Has a unique ash of war and it’s super quick on attacks
I love summoning people with dual halberds because of the easy parries, running attacks are free real estate

In the first invasion, that first phantom got straight up deleted. Chase you should use the scavengers curved swords dual wielded with the poison infusion, then seppuku on offhand, poison moth AOW on MH. This dual proc build is how I delete bosses and players alike.
So how good is it overall ? I'm leaning towards using either this or the Vulgar Shotel for my first playthrough.
Love it! This is my main weapon but I honestly never tried it dual wielded yet. I guess I just don't really like the idea of using two polearms, even though it's just a game. I use it two handed, and the running R1 is such a great move. This talked me into double-ing up
I kinda wish there was a 'death flame?' buff like what the Vulgar militia have near bestial sanctum and similar to black knife and Malekith remembrance weapon/incantation.
This, but also give destined death debuff to black gargoyle weapon arts (not just the greatsword)

It’s not bad at all, benefits from the spear talisman with certain attacks and barbaric roar true combos, infuse it with frost and it’s an absolute machine.
Catching somebody with a charged barbaric R2 while using the roar and axe talismans usually leads to constantinople being retaken.
I forget, is the reverse back step input the same in elden ring as it was in dark souls 3? Didn't really play the pvp part of elden ring as my internet was bad for a while.
can you do the flamberge some time? has many diverse build options with it: occult, keen or cold and looks cool as well

Suppuko and mahgs talisman give extra 20% attack immediately cause you are the bleed in the area.
Been waiting for this weapon, I use the dual wield occult fusion on my arcane guy for duels all the time. It is OP!!!! I also have a dual wield halberd setup on each of my builds lol
Bleed halberd is strange, but surprisingly effective. I’ll never give up my Partizan though.

You should try Watchdogs Ultra Greatsword! Super rarely seen weapon and the heavy attack is very fun

It’s pretty obvious when he’s toying with them LOL. He gets in a couple wacks immediately and extends the flight out as long as he chooses. I assume mostly just to see what they have to offer.

Hey man I'm not sure if you know this since I haven't seen you use it in any of the videos yet but both double slash and sword dance have follow up inputs for additional attacks. Double slash's follow up in particular usually hits for the same damage as both initial strikes and is my personal favorite.
Do you mean you use L2 twice in a row or is the follow up an R1 or L1?
@@Galaka100 Yeah using L2 for the additional strikes on both weapon arts will let you strike again. Sword dance has I think 3 more L2s you can do after the first and Double slash has 1 more after the first.
You should try out Zamor Curved Greatsword. It has a nice unique moveset and I really like the ash of war.
I would love to see the serpent gods curved sword it's good with the heavy affinity
