Phantom slash actually has a second input attack that a lot of people don’t know about so, the second attack will usually hit because people don’t expect it
Chase should 100% do a "take all challengers" series where he specifically duels his viewers. First to 3 style. Hell, he could even do it through patreon supporters.

Looks like Uggaum (third duel at 6:02) had an Iron Greatsword. I think it's has the highest AR out of the greatswords (with standard move set). Dual wielding jumping L1's have one shot players a bunch of times for me (Raptor's Black Feathers + Claw Talisman).

One thing to note about phantom slash is you can re-aim yourself to go in a different direction than the phantom. This can allow you to get in essentially a ranged hit with the phantom, or you can attempt to roll catch with your own part if they strafe the phantom instead of running away.
Hey Chase, I was wanting to ask: How is PvP for you? Do you have any trouble finding invasions when recording these? Every time I start a new character to do Varre's quest it takes upwards of 20 minutes to get 3 successful invasions across the entire map (minus snowfields/haligtree). I wanted Elden Ring to be the game where I finally got serious into invasions but it seems like it's really dropped off recently.
I feel like low level invasions are getting rarer and rarer as people move onto other games, seems like most invasion activity is at the 100+ level. Duels still seem pretty active all over though.

On the modpage it shows that it has over 500k downloads since it released last month, as well as the playercount for Elden Ring on Steam is sitting around 34k at the time of writing this.

If youre locked on, turning in a direction other than forward and then use phantom slash, the phantom guy will go towards the locked on target but your character will go in the direction you were facing, being able to attack at two different locations. Never used it in pvp but it could be useful

I think your timing and spacing might just be a little off for the phantom slash, but that's just from me watching and trying to figure it out. It seems like more of a ranged punishment thing, like when you've out-spaced their jump attack but they're stuck in the animation or something.
For phantom slash there’s a second attack follow up with it. So where you missed you could’ve followed up instantly after. Good build never thought of it
The greatsword you didn’t know about was the Iron Greatsword, which can only be farmed as a rare drop from the leonin misbegotten. It’s the best strength-based greatsword in the game with an A scaling with heavy infusion and has the highest base physical damage of the weapon class.
Shoutout to the Phantom Slash AoW: it has a follow-up downward slash and (!) you can send the phantom slash one way and do the actual slash in another direction! Essentially allowing you to rollcatch in 2 different directions, recommend to try it out another showcase And it SLAPS if you manage to hit the full move
My first time playing through PVE was with these on a faith scaling build. I honestly found them more fun in PVP, though, since it's so easy to fall into spamming the jump L1 for everything in the normal game. The dual halberd moveset seems pretty nice when you get to engage with more of it. Pretty cool seeing it get the full showcase treatment.

I use phantom slash and normally use it to either trade or bait an attack and use the second hit which people just live to run head first into for some reason. You can also send the phantom at really weird angles that you aren’t facing.

It's not about "just keep the items you need and leave the rest in the grace storage box" It's about quick swaps. Very strategic weapon placement. Greatsword perfectly placed between rapier and heavy hitting hammers. Etc. Ultra quick talisman swapping, and stuff like that. This is NOT for duels. It's particularly for try-hard invasions.

throw all your stuff in the grace box, click r3 on the inventory to sort it by recently acquired, then pull all the items you want to have out in the order you want. first put whatever you want to be quickest access (bloodhound step/misericorde for ripostes) bc you can just hit start - x - a - a - start to equip it really fast. just put stuff around each other that you use a lot or whatever config works for you :)
@@AJD... if you just put everything you have in the storage then only bring the weapons,armours, talismans that you use then all you have to do is memorise the inventory slots. It's not as important as it was in DarkSouls 2 but still a handy skill

A little fun fact about the phantom slash there's a second follow up attack which is a lot better then the slide forward the phantom slash is one of my favorites. Should try and give it a little more love. All in all it has 4 hits 2 from the phantom and 2 from the player.
For future videos since u love halberds so much phantom slash is really good to trade with if u activate the ash of war and they hit you your phantom get s a free hit
I hate how dishonest it is but I’ve been using this with pebble. It’s a killer. The shield pierce is really nice for invasions and I’m pretty sure that also works for whatever ash you put on it.
Hey man you should try the Carian Knight straight sword. Its AOW isn't the best but when you hold a heavy attack you get hyper armor and you become capable of tanking light hits. I use the poise talisman and axe talisman while dual wielding for mixups, its crouching attack is also a poke attack and comes out quick. You are way better than me so I'm excited to see what you can do with it.

It is indeed an Iron Greatsword. Only place to farm it is off two of the leonin guys in Lyndell.'

It doesnt have the highest ar, banished knights greatsword does (for the smithing stone swords). But it does give extra hyperarmor I believe

They definitely have slowed down, in castle sol or haligtree i get invasion within 5 minutes, in other areas at level 125 it takes longer for sure

He’s done the Glaive but not the flail
I love using that phantom ash of war. I recommend using it when your opponent is rushing straight for you. It's really good close combat as well.

Glintblade Phalanx is actually REALLY good on this weapon, since the projectiles keep the shield piercing ability.
