Flat Fees vs AUM Fees

Federal retirees will often times look for help from a financial advisor in retirement. But what kind of advisor should a FERS retiree look for? I am biased, but I believe a fee only advisor that charges a flat fee is the best scenario for retirees. The decision to transfer your TSP to an advisor should not be taken lightly.
