Hello Mike very nice review! Yaqi made great Razors! And great shave! Have a great weekend! I review today a very nice new shaving soap from a new Italian Artisan!
Thanks for the very informative review, Mike! I'd been looking at the Blackland Vector, but the Yaqi Romulus looks like a good, affordable alternative. So I've just now ordered the Romulus, thank you very much! 😄And I'm looking forward to some great shaves! Count me a subscriber. 😊
Thank You and my apologies for missing your comment. It’s been a little crazy. The YAQI Rumulus offers a nice shave. By now I’m sure you used it a few times already. How is it?
I love it! I did swap out the handle for a new RR Barber Pole, which fits the head perfectly with no handle overhang. My older Barber Pole was larger at both ends, but the newer ones are just right for both the Romulus and RR's raised inkwell stand. When I first held the razor, it seemed like a little toy, but the new handle added some nice heft. And although it shifted the balance point away from the head some, it doesn't seem to matter at all when shaving. I am very pleased with the new top razor in my den! Thanks again, Mike!
Great razor review! This is my first time seeing one of your videos. Ironically, I have a Romulus in route. I’ve been curious about AC razors and at around $55 I couldn’t resist. I subscribed to your channel. Look forward to watching your Ultima review as that’s another razor that I’ve got my eye on.
Nice review. Looks like a fantastic AC razor for the price especially. I prefer the Proguard blades too. I think it’s because the guard adds extra rigidity to the blade. The only AC blade I like better is the Schick Proline P-30s.
Hey Thank you for watching and I appreciate your input. That may confirm why I like the ProGuard blades more. I will try the ones your recommended as well. Thanks again and I appreciate your comment.
The issue with this is that the Injector blades are expensive. The case of the blades is no needed. ¿ Is there an option for affordable and good quality blades for this ?. I think Single Edge super stainess steel razor blades (which are the half of the normal double edge blades with two additional holes, right and left, and a long rounded rectangle hole in the middle ), do not fit with this. Thank you.
I’ve got one coming… Subie likes it better than the Vector🤷🏼♂️ I get a kick out of the “blade use”.. I use my DE blades for about 10 uses, better said, I use them till I can’t🤣 Good review💪🏼
Sorry so late. Grace is sending me a Remus so I’m trying to get info. Glad to see your mug, my friend.

Great shave mike😎😎👍👍
I appreciate that, it’s a great razor.
What is the blade feel/exposure on that. Looks the goods
Not certain since there is no mention of it but it’s definitely a lot milder then the Vector if your familiar with that one.
Nice shave. But the razor looks very wide?
Yea that’s the exact with of the Artisan Club blades. Definitely wider then the double edge blades.

Just ordered one. We'll see how she cuts.
Pretty good efficiency but more on the mild side comparing to the vector

I never tried a vector but I am very please with this one. Awesome shaver. I’m sure you will be happy with it for sure.
I own a Vector and this looks like a clone.
Definitely similarities but different for sure.
