    A neighbor had a Toro Recycler 22" on the curb for junk pickup. The FWD was broken, but everything else was working perfectly and in really great shape. I ordered a new cable and with the help of my son and this video we were able to get the fwd working in a few minutes. Went so well he didn't even get yelled at while he held the flashlight😅 thanks for the great tutorial! I definitely hit like, subscribe and the bell!

      Wow. You must described the day I decided to make videos. I also found a Toro Recycler with nothing but a broken cable.
      (It makes .my day when I get comments like this.)

      I wasn't a big Honda fan, but the last couple mowers have changed my mind a bit. I liked it too

    Ok bill people are going to think you only gets those retirement mowers, where you dont need to get dirty, you should have a bucket with used grease and put some of that on your hands so it looks like you get dirty lol great job bud as always. Cheers

      🤣 I will admit that I wash my hands 18 times a day, but in my defense, replacing a drive cable won't get you very dirty if you are using power tools. Lol

      My wife thinks I goof off if she doesn't see a little dirt or sweat on my brow. 😜 Sometimes I have to pull the Rice Krispy Treat fake. I throw a little dirt on my face to *prove* that I've worked today. I guess I'll have to do that now. Thanks for the video 👍

    The rear wheel drive Toros are a little more of a pita but still easy.

      I agree completely. Getting to the rear drive cables is always a bit of a pain.

      They are close enough that you should get through it pretty easily. If I remember correctly, that one has the screw that holds the cable at the handlebar. (Use it to also adjust the tension on the cable). If you would like, let me know, and I will dig through the archive for the video on yours. 👍

      Make sure it matches, this one has the nut that holds it at the top, but others don't and they won't fit correctly. If you are sure yours is the same as this one, here is the link I used to order this one... lucky for you, it's $4 cheaper than it was when I ordered the exact same one last year 🙂

      If yours looks the same at the handlebar, it's likely the right one. 👍

    Can I use an electric fuel pump like a HEP-02A and a stupid little crankcase pressure pulse pump on the same fuel line? Having issues with fuel not getting to the carb. Dont feel like replacing all the hose, so can I just force the gas through the pulse without it like, leaking into the crankcase? I have no idea whats inside the pulse pump as far as how it works..

    • @GuysPlayingWithTools
      @GuysPlayingWithTools  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Daniel. The fuel line on this one is only about 6 inches long, are you thinking about a different motor? In any case, forcing gas into it might push it past the needle\seat and you would have to power it. If it's a mower like this with a Quantum motor, replace the fuel line and clean the carb and you should be good to go, it's easier than you might think.

      @@GuysPlayingWithTools 24hp husqvarna vtwin. pump tops out at an estimated 6psi.

      @GuysPlayingWithTools  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DanielSquidington Ok, we are on the same page now. I was thinking "how hard is it to replace that little line?" LOL
      I wouldn't try to force your way past a blockage, replace your filter first, it sounds like the guilty party and it's cheap and easy to replace.

    • @DanielSquidington
      @DanielSquidington ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GuysPlayingWithTools Im pretty sure the problem is before the fuel filter, Ive got a pretty big one on there, but Im thinking the problem is in the tank itself and not being able to prime the system.. Last time I got it running I had to pop a line off and suck on the damn thing until gas came out... gas tastes terrible..

    • @GuysPlayingWithTools
      @GuysPlayingWithTools  ปีที่แล้ว

      The next thing I would chase is the pump itself. Impulse pump diaphragms can go south on you, not often, but you covered the easier problems

  • @randytorboli
    @randytorboli ปีที่แล้ว +3

    • @GuysPlayingWithTools
      @GuysPlayingWithTools  ปีที่แล้ว

      It really is easier than most people think. I should never see a mower ditched due to a broken cable. 🙄

    • @GuysPlayingWithTools
      @GuysPlayingWithTools  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @shanemiller4108 o would go south the new cable every time unless the used one is $2 or $3 and looks good 👍
