Couple questions
1) Why not remove old brake fluid from the reservoir (with a syringe) and fill it with new fluid before bleeding to limit the amount of fluid that you have to bleed?
2) Why not open bleeder valve and just keep pumping the brake?
Thanks for the tips!
I think it's about to prevent air leak and overlook to the amount of remaining fluid.
Have just got myself a 2015 mt09 tracer, watched the video you have done on the brake pads and bleeding the brakes, is that all I need to do even with ABS installed on the bike, is there any need to have the system flushed? sorry if this is a daft question, haven’t worked on a lot of bikes.
Thank you
You've got it back to front with your procedure. You pump, hold, then open the bleeder to remove the air. To flush, just open the bleeder and pump the handle.
Great, simple straight to the point vid, love it 👌🏻
You forgot the anti-squeal grease.
Great video & well explained 👍👌.
Great video especially the brake fluid bleeding I really like that technique thanks
I watched this for my fronts and then did my rear. I still need front pads. I have 2018 mt09 with abs. I have no rear brakes now. Brake pedal pressure is decently normal, any suggestions as to where I screwed up? Great video by the way
Wouldn't you want to drain the fluid completely instead of putting clean fluid in while flushing?
I love my 2018, the paint scheme on every year after is no good.
Where’d you get the bleeding tool? Link?
shout out to 44 teeth on screen in the background!
How do you get the fluid out of the ABS pump? Also can you link me for the caliper tool? Thanks.
Cali Moto TV I found there is a way to do it using a jump wire. Also the other way is to go ride hit the brakes hard after the first flush to activate the pump. And re flush. Manual wants you to activate the pump using their dish scan tool.
Thanks man
Hello quelles pression dans les Michelin road 5 merci
Thank you so much for posting this. It’s super helpful as I plan to do this on my FZ-10 for the first time soon. One question...I was expecting the filler cap to the master cylinder to be shut before the bleeding process is completed. Wouldn’t there be a small amount of air left in the system this way? Thank you for your thoughts!
Thanks so much for the quick response! Stay safe out there.
