But thank God for this piece of article th-cam.com/users/postUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. I was diagnosed with this a few weeks back but turns out I've had fairly useless doctors as I've had symptoms for years (including when I was very slim - BMI of 19) but I always noticed that if I slacked off at all with eating/exercise I'd gain weight around my stomach but nowhere else. I changed jobs but still ate under my supposed metabolic weight but gained about 40kg in 4-5yrs (30 of that in 3yrs). Again doctors would always focus on my iron which was chronically low and just said regarding insulin to just eat well and exercise which I was doing... finally a doctor took it seriously and with no change to life style and just Metformin (because I have been eating well and exercising a lot) I've dropped 2kg in 2 weeks which I never could and just maintaining was hard.
    Thank you for more information as I never knew so many of the symptoms I've had for years but no one took me seriously

    This is very helpful, I'm extremely skinny and struggle to gain weight, but I do have 9 of the symptoms I felt or seen myself without seeing a doctor. I also have yeast overgrowth problems in my stomach and developed aczema out of no where and depending on what I eat, it irritates it. I was on a special diet to help with the yeast problem but unfortunately I lost 10 pounds and my normal weight is 80 pounds, so I had to stop the diet to gain my weight back. I was born with hormonal problem that I inherited from my mom, we both produce high levels of testosterone. She was skinny like me when she was younger, I'm still small in my 40's but I also haven't had cancers, gallbladder/kidney stones, or nor have children of my own, so I look extremely young and healthy looking when in truth been struggling since birth with health problems. I'm looking forward to looking more into insulin resistance.

    I have not checked all of you uploads, but I recommend talking about skinny fat people. I know quite a few people that are tiny - 100 to 120 lbs thereabouts - and have full on diabetes. They drink a lot of Starbucks, never seem to gain weight, can fit any outfit they choose, and are diabetic, on medication, have unknowingly high blood pressure or recently found out that they do, and look fit a a fiddle. I write this because people usually start with the height to weight ratio and pictures of overweight people, but that lulls people falsely into tuning out the rest of the message. SKINNY FAT, now that's a topic.

    The swollen ankles can also be contributed to due to endothelial damage from excess glucose leading to leaky blood vessel lining so more fluid is forced out into the interstitium and not returned via the lymphatics. Vascular insufficiency can also contribute

    It is so good to find you and the hosts of others discussing this. Soooo I'm 67 and at the age of 27 was denied Health insurance because I had a Triglycrides above 1000, but a blood sugar of 108 and no test ever for A1c. I have yo-yo'd in weight since then and could never control it. I found KETO in 2018 and had lost 45 pounds and kept it off for 3 years. But now i'm struggling with sugar cravings and weight gain again. This vid helped to reconnect with that issue. My most prevalent symptoms are the sugar cravings belly fat and the skin tags. No doctor yet has helped just KETO so far.
    Keep up the good work!!!

    I have most of these symptoms and have had some of them for most of my life (60 yrs old). Even when I was skinny my hip to waist ratio was like a straight line. I've always had irregular periods if at all (no children) and I've had skin tags for at least 40 years. My body is constantly inflamed and I am in pain all day everyday. Last fall I started the keto to reduce the inflammation. It helps and I've lost 30lbs but, I am still in pain and my left foot still swells at the ankle and always hurts.
    How come no Dr ever told me that I may be insulin resistant when I was younger? I could have avoided all of this. It's as if the Drs want us to be sick.

    I’m obese but I’m very happy that I’ve only 3/4 of the listed symptoms:
    *waist to hight ratio
    * dark patches
    * abdominal fat
    (* and sometimes the sugar cravings but it’s mostly when I’m stressed)
    It motivates me to continue my weight lost journey. I know I started few weeks ago at 105kg (231 pounds) but I refused to weigh myself. I would just keep doing intermittent fasting and exercice and kind of “low carb” diet till I see that I’ve lost around 15 - 25 kg (35-55pounds).
    Thanks you for the very informative video

    Great video!!! My bloodwork, fasting insulin etc. is always normal. I have dark patches of skin (abdomen & underarms) and tiny skin tags started to appear on my neck towards the end of my pregnancy. I'm 5 months postpartum and my son was 10 lbs 4 oz. At the hospital I was questioned if I had GD because he was so huge (I did not). However, I think it may have just went undiagnosed. 🤷‍♀️ Working on reversing this and losing the weight. 40 lbs down, many more to go!

      @@HealthCoachKait I don't but will find out. I definitely question everything doctors say now, sometimes more than once... I've had a few health issues that were overlooked. I kept pushing only to finally get a diagnosis of Avascular Necrosis (bone death). So at 36, I just had a baby in May and a hip replacement in August.
      Thank you for doing what you're doing because despite people giving youtubers a bad rep for giving health advice, I've learned so much more from people like yourself than I can say of the medical community.

    I’ve had it basically my whole life and I’m 49. I’ve been paleo-keto for 20+ years and I had it under great control for a while while I was exercising a ton- something I started when I was 12 because I gained weight so easily. But I’ve been injured for 5.5 years and not exercising threw everything back out of balance . I’ve gained 35 lbs or more and I still eat paleo. I never have sweets in my house, but if I go stay with relatives or something and there are sweets everywhere I get very intense cravings. Just seeing pictures of sweets on social media can make me feel intense cravings. It’s so frustrating. I never craved anything when I was super fit.

    I literally have every symptom EXCEPT my periods are very regular like clockwork every month so my gyno doesn’t believe i have PCOS. BUT I still have Cysts!!! They burst sometimes it’s the most excruciating pain I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. I finally convinced him to do an ultrasound to see if he will diagnose me but aside from putting me on birth control and saying I need to lose weight he doesn’t seem to really be helpful in helping me figure this out so I’m on TH-cam and listening to podcasts n reading all sorts of books and info I can get on the topic.
