Firstly, i couldnt figure out how you got the spring pushed down while inserting stick. Secondly we need some specs to determin the size of the spring as well as how far down the slit for the stick needs to be.
I think some kind of string tied to the pin and run it out of the side of the box, then fill the box with these things and fill them with stuff, might only work well on porch pirates though, except mine are full of dog crap and made for when they open the box
