The fact that they’re shutting down support for dreams proves they don’t pay any attention to the creators in the community. This is beyond amazing.
It's because they can't monetize it correctly on the obsolete PlayStation network for them downloading dreams costs a lot of bandwidth and since it's not f2p and stuck on a dumbass console nobody wants to develop on it was inevitable. Even if the game was financially successful which it could never be by being console exclusive it would eventually go down after PS4 store goes down. move to source 2 Godot or unreal anything is better than using an engine that can't even use vulkan because it's trapped is sonys FreeBSD hell
This is why these fan games need to be put on pc dreams is locking out a huge percentage of the player base
pc would have fixed so many issues people had with dreams(m&k support instead of forcing motion controls or that terrible alt version)
but Sony was being sony. ironically the game wouldn't even exist without sony paying for the lights for mm for +8 or whatever years it took them to make it so its pretty bittersweet all in all.
you'd think with Sony's new direction with making helldivers for pc they would try to cash in on dreams by porting it, they clearly lost money on the project and should try to salvage it, so many people would buy a game making software like this too

Yeah this unfortunately the problem with dreams and roblox games. they are controlled by the company that made them and they can shut them down any day

@@ringforce2072 that part is different, as you can see in the thumbnail and level, the chains from little planet have blown off and scattered around never lake as a sign of progression after the events of Sonic CD

So, this is peak. Like, literally. Only thing I ask is that there be some way to adjust the camera? Cause I really can’t see sonic at all when he’s going fast. It’s so far away and it’s even worse cause my vision isn’t the best. Great work on everything though.

Bro I hope they see this. This happens way too much, like give us a chance to admire the work. Whether that be too much speed or lack of visual clarity, it needs a balance. I hope they fix that. I want to feel like sonic and see him too

Long time Sonic fan. I am absolutely blown away by this. CD remains my joint favourite with S3K for the top spot, this fresh take on the CD opening is mind blowing. Makes a lot of Sonic Lost World make sense. I reckon you are onto something with this. But you need to go further. Imagine reimagining the Sonic CD levels with the time travel aspect with this parkour approach. I would pay good money for that, particularly given how poor Superstars turned out (there’s so much about it I like, mind, it just doesn’t have the gameplay or polish down). Great job regardless, absolutely smashing. Oh, and that soundtrack. Chef’s kiss. Brilliant.
That parkour mechanic needs to get picked up by Sega Team for real, that's actually extremely innovative
Parkour? People hated parkour when Sonic Lost World did it, it's only more popular now because Sonic Team DIDN'T make it.
It was always a fun mechanic, but people jumped on the media's "Sonic Team bad" train and the mechanic would get slated if they did pick it up again.
Remeber, Sonic Adventure did this exact implementation of it with the "Jump on panel number one" thing.
@BlueEyedVibeChecker I never played Sonic Lost World nor heard of that mechanic. I heard criticism for the Lost World game but that particular mechanic wasn't the part I heard critiqued.
Maybe it's a good mechanic that was just in a (subjectively) bad game.
Just played it, and I'm very impressed. I've never been the biggest "classic" fan but I love the way it looks, sounds, controls. I did have some trouble following the level design but that's a good thing. I don't want sonic games to hold your hand and automate everything. The song SLAPS as well.

Um...WOW! They even recreated the opening sequence of an actual Sonic game but made it playable. This looks like the Sonic game I've always wanted. Leave it to the fans to make something people actually want out of a franchise. Okay...now let's get some of these Dreams people to make an F-Zero, Starfox, and Shadow the Hedgehog game!

I hope this game can see a nice cel shade visual to itself to. The one thing that would help with the environment is some more sense of environmental depth. The concept is phenomenal.
Would love to see this made into a Unity, Gadot, or Unreal Engine game.

I used to rewatch the Sonic CD intro and cutscenes over and over again as a kid (alongside the Sonic OVA) and Toei style sonic has always been my favorite version of him. So seeing something like this is mindblowing

People are Stretching dreams to the max, I feel like there’s this secret coding engine in Dreams that can change the normal physics of dreams practically into Unreal engine. I’m probably just paranoid. Great job!

I tried it and i honestly think it's one of the best fan games I've ever played!!! My only complaint is that the spider robots are quite annoying and i did fall out of bounds twice. But overall i love this game and i can't wait to play the full version!!! (Fan fact my Classic Sonic voice was heavily based on the OVA and this games Sonic VA)

im not the type of guy to say "sega hire this team", but seriously, this is how sonic should control, this is the defentive sonic for me and a lot of people. I heared so many people says that their vision for the defentive contols for sonic will be a playable sonic cd intro. And this game actually does that while being challenging to control (which is how fast characters should be) its also not throwing you in the air like sonic utopia which is super annoying.
Also, you actually need to think in real time about the level design and plan pathways. Sonic team should take LOTS of notes
All this to not be on the home of fan games known as pc 😭

I've played every version of this game in Dreams & I loved it...but I thought it did need some improvements. I DIDN'T THINK U WOULD LITERALLY GIVE IT AN ENTIRE RETAKE, LIKE DAMN IT LOOKS PERFECT FOR A JUNIO/TOEI/CD INSPIRED 3D SONIC FAN GAME ON DREAMS!!!!

Finally played it. Absolutely love it. What you did is what Sonic needs to be. Also I hope theres a way to properly archive this on PC. Sorry but I just dont particularly trust Sony to protect Dreams after the way they handled Littlebigplanet.
