Couldnt get fixed asap since today the clinic closed till 3th July due to covid uprising cases. My dentist said it's okay till 2 weeks visit later. I broke one of my bracket today first time after 3 month since my treatment started... I called my dentist one hour ago and he fixed my appointment tomorrow morning. Maybe he will see and fix it temporarily and my orthodontic will take on as per my schedule visiting. I was worried and this video calm me down. Thank you. From India.

My orthodontist charged me five hundred pesos for 1 missing bracket although it's just my first time losing one. Hope I asked about this things first hand before getting one. 😭

Nobody ever says anything about brackets not adhering well to crowns. I was flossing and one of the top back brackets came off the crown, this after only having the braces for exactly a week. This also happened on the same tooth a few hours a week ago when I got the new braces. So in my case it wasn't eating anything that caused it. It was flossing. Next appointment isn't until October 2 and the wire isn't rubbing so I'm gonna try and wait until then to have this repaired AGAIN. also going to change up how I floss. And by the way, I'm 60 years old and just got braces lol
I have an important question. Say the very last bracket in the back of your mouth is loose on the tooth but still on the wire, will that delay treatment even though the bracket is on the very end?
Like the video mentioned, you should probably contact your doctor and get scheduled for a repair, but it’s not a big emergency. You should be fine to wait for a little while without it affecting anything too much
I just woke up and i feel smth in my mouth it was my breket soo i got scared bcs its my first month that i have them soo i watching this video is soothed me
I just had to pull one of my back brackets off the wire only 1 hour after getting that back bracket installed. I don't think my orthadonist applied it correctly because the bracket was only slightly on my tooth and it could easily fall off. It was sliding on the wire so I had to take it off myself. I'm in pain right now from the wire poking my cheek but I will cut it off with nail clippers after watching this video. Thank you for the help!

my bracket just got fixed 2 days ago for breaking off after one of my top teeth kept hitting it, but now 2 days later i woke up and found that same bracket is broken. I didn’t even do anything and this will now be the third time this has happened. They even put rubber on the top part of my bracket to prevent me bite on it and i found it to be less helpful because it felt like every time i bit down softly on it, i was bending the wire.

There are lots of factors that may cause a broken bracket. Either way it should be straightforward to get fixed. Give your doctor a call and they should be able to help you out.
Next time you go in, have your Orthodontist give each bracket a good tug just to rule out bonding failure. Don't feel guilty either broken brackets are very common! Hope this helps!

Its pretty normal to have brackets come off - especially during the first month or two. As long as they are repaired you shouldn't have any significant delays.
My bracket broke after 2 hours of getting my bottom braces have to wait till Wednesday to fix it I don’t think the assistant put my bracket on correctly and I have wax so it doesn’t move out of place till Wednesday

Most likely you can brush it like normal, it shouldn't hurt anything if it slides around - but you can definitely reach out to your doctor to see about having the bracket repaired so you don't have to worry about it.

Sometimes teeth have bonding issues due to the enamel quality - some enamel just doesn't bond as well as others. This is frustrating when it happens but unfortunately its something that happens from time to time.

@@loofilovegood I honestly booked an appointment to see the orthodontist cause I was super worried and I had no experience with braces before so I didn’t know what to do and I’ve asked him if there was a specific reason as in why my bracket popped off considering I’ve been following all the instructions he’s given and he said that it’s completely normal for brackets to break when first getting your braces due to high force and pressure so don’t worry about it, really it’s completely normal and do not feel frustrated with it just make sure you follow all of the instructions your orthodontist recommended :)

We would recommend getting in touch with your orthodontist to see what they recommend. Broken braces are not a big deal and orthodontists fix them all the time. You don't need to be scared :)
I had 1 of my brackets broken for a month, I had it fixed 5 days ago but yesterday the same one broke again and my appointment is in over a month. How much will this affect treatment time? (Note: The bracket didn't fall off, its just very slightly moving)
if you get the bracket repaired before your next appointment this should not affect your treatment time. If you wait till your next appointment the tooth may shift or stay in the same place meaning they would have to drop down wire size or stay in the same wires when you should be advancing and this could delay your treatment time by one visit

Hey, on my first day of having my braces when I just got home, I felt as if my braces popped and it got tighter, until I found out one if it was loose. Should I wait until my next appointment in 6 weeks, or book an appointment? Also it doesn’t hurt me
I know this is months too late, but I’m going to tell you my experience in case anyone else has the same question. One of my brackets popped on the way home from getting them put on. I called them and they said to go ahead and come back and they put it back on. That night, I felt another one pop. I called them in the morning and they asked me if I could come back in that day. When they started working on it, they discovered that 4 others also popped off that night (all of the popped brackets were on the bottom). It was because the bonding didn’t set right. My teeth were likely not dry enough when they did the bottom ones and that caused them to pop off. I was told that it is very unusual for a bracket to pop off within a day or so after the putting them on unless there was an issue with the bonding. So, if this happens within the first day or so, know that it’s not normal and likely not something you did to cause it. You should call up your ortho and see if they want you to come in sooner rather than later.
Hello there! Great question, our best advice would need to chat with your orthodontist for more information. More than likely they will examine your bite and potentially put bite turbos on. This will allow you not to cleannch your teeth and potentially break off more brackets.

i've broken 8 in 2 months and idk what to do
What is the best way to clean a tooth that has a broken or sliding bracket? because when I go to do it i find that i'm scared to put on too much pressure with the toothbrush
Most likely you can brush it like normal, it shouldn't hurt anything if it slides around - but you can definitely reach out to your doctor to see about having the bracket repaired so you don't have to worry about it.

hey doc! i’m really frustrated. why do my bracket keep falling off the same tooth. after two hours from my dentist and my bracket already fall off. I haven’t eaten yet so i dont know what the reason why.

Sometimes teeth have bonding issues due to the enamel quality - some enamel just doesn't bond as well as others. This is frustrating when it happens but unfortunately its something that happens from time to time.

Question: i do boxing, i didn’t have gum shield, so me and my mum or mom (or whats is called) i tried to mould it and it came a bit loose. But it doesn’t move. Just i was flossing my teeth and it spun until it got stuck. Should i get it checked?

I got my braces a few days ago but half of the brackets came off the next day. I got them fixed but later more brackets came off the next day like 4. Now im confused on what to do. Is this normal?

Do they replace loose bracket with new one or they stick same bracket again
They may replace it or in some cases clean off the old bracket and reuse it. Both methods work well.

Hey doc I got my braces 3 days ago and I’ve followed all the orthodontist’s instructions however the last bracket broke at the top left of my mouth but it’s frustrating cause I’m following all the instructions he gave and I haven’t been able to eat or do anything and my next appointment is in 3 weeks so I don’t know can I wait for the next appointment is it okay to have a broken bracket for 3 weeks ?

@@loofilovegood I honestly booked an appointment to see the orthodontist cause I was super worried and I had no experience with braces before so I didn’t know what to do and I’ve asked him if there was a specific reason as in why my bracket popped off considering I’ve been following all the instructions he’s given and he said that it’s completely normal for brackets to break when first getting your braces due to high force and pressure so don’t worry about it, really it’s completely normal and do not feel frustrated with it just make sure you follow all of the instructions your orthodontist recommended :)

i had my braces on on 4th Jan and to tday ive broke my braces 3 times 😭😂 when it's first and second times i went to get it fix immediately but on 3rd times idk i still didnt go for fixing cuz im on final exam, exam is more important for my future

We would recommend getting in touch with your orthodontist to see what they recommend. Broken braces are not a big deal and orthodontists fix them all the time. You don't need to be scared :)
I had 1 of my brackets broken for a month, I had it fixed 5 days ago but yesterday the same one broke again and my appointment is in over a month. How much will this affect treatment time? (Note: The bracket didn't fall off, its just very slightly moving)
if you get the bracket repaired before your next appointment this should not affect your treatment time. If you wait till your next appointment the tooth may shift or stay in the same place meaning they would have to drop down wire size or stay in the same wires when you should be advancing and this could delay your treatment time by one visit
how a broken or loosen brace affects treatment time? I have 2 broken braces yet my doctor insisted me to fix it during my appointment time which means a week later. Is it ok sir?
Broken brackets aren't too urgent and as long as you don't go months with broken brackets it shouldn't prolong your treatment time.
Hey, on my first day of having my braces when I just got home, I felt as if my braces popped and it got tighter, until I found out one if it was loose. Should I wait until my next appointment in 6 weeks, or book an appointment? Also it doesn’t hurt me
I know this is months too late, but I’m going to tell you my experience in case anyone else has the same question. One of my brackets popped on the way home from getting them put on. I called them and they said to go ahead and come back and they put it back on. That night, I felt another one pop. I called them in the morning and they asked me if I could come back in that day. When they started working on it, they discovered that 4 others also popped off that night (all of the popped brackets were on the bottom). It was because the bonding didn’t set right. My teeth were likely not dry enough when they did the bottom ones and that caused them to pop off. I was told that it is very unusual for a bracket to pop off within a day or so after the putting them on unless there was an issue with the bonding. So, if this happens within the first day or so, know that it’s not normal and likely not something you did to cause it. You should call up your ortho and see if they want you to come in sooner rather than later.

Hello there! Great question, our best advice would need to chat with your orthodontist for more information. More than likely they will examine your bite and potentially put bite turbos on. This will allow you not to cleannch your teeth and potentially break off more brackets.
