Goldsmiths Liverpool is my AD and I've been buying Tudor watches for the last few years, and recently a Zenith.
I saw the Smurf on the first day they opened the new store, and it was for sale, but was sold a week later when i went back in. I was tempted.
I find the staff so warm and friendly and I recently got the Green OP41 from them.
They did the official opening on the evening of the 18th Oct, and it was amazing. DJ, all the staff walking round and talking to people. The Rolex area was of course the busiest
Have purchased all my watches from those two mentioned AD’s. They are both exceptional and that does include the Omega Boutique.
I can’t fault their customer service.

I agree with you on the Santos. I keep thinking of a dressier and historic brand for my collection and I tried on the XL white dial and the sunburst navy blue dials on the bracelet. They sit so comfortably on the wrist - but my biggest concern in the highly polished bezel which just gets ruined with wear
You just use a black sharpie on the black PVD watches for any damage so no worries 😉
Omega also friendly, always happy to help when i pop in.
I only found out they are DMR when i got the invoice emailed to me. I believe the one in Trafford Centre is Beaverbrooks, and they just seem awkward to talk to when you go in

whoa ! showed me two tone 36 mm Roman Numeral. I passed and thanked him for the offer. 36mm and Roman Numerals killed it for me. Long Story short, next allocation the shop receives if there are any spare unaccounted for and fit the bill he will give me a call.

The black pvd rubs off on the underneath just from wearing it so you can imagine how easy it scratches and then it looks cheap and nasty I tried the same cartier on and it is really nice but I can't justify paying the money if its going to look tatty after a year
the smurf has a blue dial and blue bezel and made of white gold, it was replaced by the blue bezel/black dial called the cookie monster
The Smurf was discontinued in 2020 - so either you’ve got a Time Machine, or your very confused about being offered one by an AD a month ago.

You get the same issues with Rolex as you do with Tudor, Rolex watches get tested a little more but by machines not people, they both go through pretty similar QC, basically your paying for the badge on a mass produced Rolex. No rolex is worth the money, that’s why they aren’t and never will be in the same holy trinity of VC/AP/PP.

Correct Tudor are not Rolex. However, quality control is not just a Tudor problem. Lot's of misalignment issues with Rolex also, they are mass produced items after all.
With my BB54 I perhaps got lucky. All alignment is spot on and the movement is +0.1 sec/day so very happy to pay retail for that. If it was defective, I wouldn't be happy for sure...a £3k watch should be spot on...period!
Not to sound naive but do other places not just simply add you to a list for typically non-popular rolexes?
I find it very hard to believe that people just simply ignore you or are rude assuming you're not an obvious flipper - i've been to multiple AD's across in several countries and sure there have been certain models that have been closed off but i've have always been treated fairly.
