From what I've read of both their Af stories in regards to the flow of the arc and the overall plot I found Toyotaro to be just a bit more creative and interesting however Jiji's version was quite fun as well. I do plan to do a video in the future discussing that aspect :)
Young Jiji strongly tries to copy Toriyama and does a good job at it, is obviously a great artist. That said, he feels a little stiff at times, and Toyotaro's drawings are very, very clean, which i appreciate.
@@haroldnecmann7040 Altough youngjiji is a good artist he couldn't make a story like the moro or granolah arc, even the art, the way toyotaro draws ultra instinct is something that I can't see youngjiji do better, he still a very good artist but not in the same way as toyotaro.
My only problem with Youngjiji is he doesn't draw shoulder &armpits too well. Seriously, on the muscular characters( look at the trunks vs imperfect cell thumbnail) , his shoulders are literal balls of muscle but doesn't connect to the chest area. This is a minor nitpick but just heads up to look for.
Youngjji art style is way better than Toyotaro more professional and if anything his art style could be even better than akria’s that’s just me if anything Akira Toriyama should’ve picked him
I only recently got into reading Young Jijii's AF and I absolutely love his paneling. Much more room to breathe with exciting battles. I think Toyotaro has a better overall design sensibility though. Jijii kind of veers into bad fan oc with some of his designs.
Toyotaro has one massive problem his understanding of anatomy is god awful he regularly has the head too low when characters doing the charging stance also that artwork of UI goku at 6:00 proves it the neck is too low on the body it should be higher up
Kinda wish you labelled the artists in each of the comparisons. A lot of times I couldn't tell if you were showing Youngjiji on one side with Toriyama on the other or two Youngjiji works side by side. And the same for Toyotaro. Which I guess proves the point of the likeness in styles but still, would've been easier to compare them had you done that.
@@forgottenrelics1197 it was non issue nitpick tbh. Anyone with working eyes could easily tell the difference. Don't blame yourself if the blind man can't see.

Someone flyes towards the camera, someone gets knocked in to the air, that someone follows that up, someone does a special attack, someone transforms... This patter repeats itself over and over again. His fights really lack imagination. I think Toyotaro had the same problem but he's really starting ti cime through in the moro saga.

I say toyotaro because the shades are realistic and like, the colors and the like lines with blasts just makes it realistic and the movement too
The better question is: "Who has better storytelling, Toyotaro/Toyble or Young Jiji?"
From what I've read of both their Af stories in regards to the flow of the arc and the overall plot I found Toyotaro to be just a bit more creative and interesting however Jiji's version was quite fun as well. I do plan to do a video in the future discussing that aspect :)
I wish Yuya Takahashi made a DB manga. That would be Stunning!
It would be, or for him just to be on super more would be good
Think about Naotoshi Shida ,nigga murders em all 💀
💀
Dragonball super could've been a more hit if young jiji over taro
This ^
Wrong
Youngjiji should be a part of the Toei animation staff working on Dragon Ball Super. Toei has managed Dragon Ball so badly that it's shameful.
Great comparisons and all, but Takahashi's are the best, though.
Young Jiji strongly tries to copy Toriyama and does a good job at it, is obviously a great artist. That said, he feels a little stiff at times, and Toyotaro's drawings are very, very clean, which i appreciate.
they're clean for sure, but monotone. His fights' choreography really suffers because of it.
@@turbotrup96 they sure used to, but I think he is improving lately...or well, was before the hiatus.
In normal manga Jiji but if there was a 2page spread or mural or poster toyotaro
nice vid
And a comparation between Asura/Toyotaro?
i loveeee jiji but his art for the super saiyan blues tend to feel weird. His ss4 work IS IMMACULATE THO
Wish they work together
Great video
Thanks man!
Toyotarus style resambles more like the animes
You can see that with their ssj eyes
For me its youngjiji for the panels and design of the characters and toyotaro for the story.
good points
Toyotaro for story?🤣🤣🤣
@@haroldnecmann7040 Altough youngjiji is a good artist he couldn't make a story like the moro or granolah arc, even the art, the way toyotaro draws ultra instinct is something that I can't see youngjiji do better, he still a very good artist but not in the same way as toyotaro.
What about Yamamoto?
My only problem with jiji is his coloring. It feels off to me in his more recent work
JIJI is like OG Z
yusuke murata draws them better than anyone. even better than akira tbh
@Anonymus Being yep just write in yusuke murata dbz on the searchbar and voila
@Anonymus Being yeah that guy is other wordly.
And Yamamoto Doujin?
Wow, that was Dragon Ball AF.
Youngjji art style is way better than Toyotaro more professional and if anything his art style could be even better than akria’s that’s just me if anything Akira Toriyama should’ve picked him
False, Toyotaro is closest to Toriyama's style.(current)
@@yunusahmed2940 yeah I agree, Toyotaro is more current Akira, but Youngjiji is more what I likem
U dream so much dude, wake up
@@ZettoM4 nobody wants skinny and sharp vegeta💀
@@Luludatb Im talking about the main comment, no one is better than akira.T in db
This guy made hentai in dragon ball toryama style and still is better than toyotaro, youngjijii all day bro.
I wish to see it, long live young jiji!
@@annedrieck7316 hail to king baby!
I only recently got into reading Young Jijii's AF and I absolutely love his paneling. Much more room to breathe with exciting battles. I think Toyotaro has a better overall design sensibility though. Jijii kind of veers into bad fan oc with some of his designs.
Toyotarou is better . Young jiji has a good grasp on anatomy but Toyotarou understands speed , dynamic movements and does correct amount of shading
i prefer the angular poses
Toyotaro has one massive problem
his understanding of anatomy is god awful
he regularly has the head too low when characters doing the charging stance
also that artwork of UI goku at 6:00 proves it
the neck is too low on the body
it should be higher up
This is quite educational for art purposes. Not bad. 0_-
idk but thats my opinion but i love toyotaro and his style in dbs manga a lot. the way he draws muscles is good
Kinda wish you labelled the artists in each of the comparisons. A lot of times I couldn't tell if you were showing Youngjiji on one side with Toriyama on the other or two Youngjiji works side by side. And the same for Toyotaro.
Which I guess proves the point of the likeness in styles but still, would've been easier to compare them had you done that.
my mistake
@@forgottenrelics1197 it was non issue nitpick tbh. Anyone with working eyes could easily tell the difference. Don't blame yourself if the blind man can't see.
i see the diffrence
Ultra T2O “STAR PLATINUM! THE WORLD!”
A like Toyotaro's body and face but i think jiji's hair is better
Toyotaro biggest weakness is the anatomy...its soo WEIRD !
What Youngjiji lacks and toyotaro thrives in is story telling and finding dynamic poses, fights and actions sequences.not to say that youngjiji is BAD per say far from it,just toyotaro to is slightly more creative in my opinion.
Jijii
Yout videos are good! I like toyotaro's work more... It feel more dragon ball than young jiji's work i think... Young jiji's good with panel but Toyotaro's art hook me more for some reason
Thats a low blow to young jiji, take that back!
I prefer Younggijiji by a landslide
Mi problem with Toyotaro is the panneling and that he use the same boring angles most of the times during battles
I think young jiji could have been a better choice for the super manga
Possibly or maybe fenyo
@@forgottenrelics1197 yeah I can agree
Disagree , youngjiji relies to much on past content while toyotaro talent is the new ideas that he has, while i agree that youngjiji art is much better and interesting i still feel that toyotaro was the best choice.
I like young jijii don't get me wrong. His style is nostalgic while still making it his own. But toyotaro is the better artist IMO. I really love his artstyle
I like toyotaro more because it's slimmer
I think youngjiji is better than Toyotaro in every way but one. If you start reading his manga and read through multiple fights you will notice that it's all the same thing.
Wait I thought they were the same person
