absolutely beautiful footage! You are the only one whoI have seen recommend those settings, especially 1080/60. and then -2 sharpness on top of d-log! was super skeptical but clearly it works in the hands of a skilled videographer. Thanks for the info, I will have to give it a shot.
From the information supplied to me by Mavic experts with Photography knowledge, the settings and focus will work better at plus 1 not less. Demonstrably better. That's what I'm now using. I'm not going to rubbish anyone else, just passing on something I've learnt. Also backed up by " The Film Poets" .
I did not like the results with plus 1. The Mavic Pro already over sharpens, so why add more? Thank you for your comment :)
It's seemed to me to make an awfully big difference to the focus. I'll trade sharpness requiring some adjustment, over focus that can't be adjusted, any day. Anyway, each to their own.
Odd, I have never had issues with focus with those settings.
@@MomentumProductions1992 Actually anything below +1 in sharpness activates a sharpness reduction algorythm which creates the watercolor effect. This effect is very well known and is very bad. Google it.
Great video. I'll be trying these options tomorrow on my DJI Mavic Pro. I haven't been able to get good footage. I tried the 4K/24fps and the footage wasn't that great. What video editing software do you use? Personally, right now on a budget, am using iMovie on my mac. We'll see how it goes as I'm hoping to start uploading more footage for my TH-cam channel.

Thanks dose the framing in 1080 / 60 bother you - when you use it with stock setting it looks like the bark on the trees is moving and leaves are moving but they are really not. Thanks
You have great videos and I'm learning a lot from your tutorials. I have one question that's really confusing me.
The sharpness setting.
I keep reading mixed opinions on whether it's best to keep sharpness at -2 or +1. The reason being the internal noise reduction that the Mavic does if the sharpness is set to less than +1 causes trees/foliage to exhibit that watercolor effect. What are your thoughts on this?
I'm trying to test it myself but I haven't been able to figure out what is the best setting
Sorry if you have answered this somewhere or if it is in the desc. (Didnt see it) but what editing software do you use? I currently use light room solely for editing not for the storage option, would you recommend lightroom? (And photoshop)

Great video, but NTSC is not really 30 fps, it's 29.97? Found out trying to sync with some 30fps footage when doing some of my tutorials.

My camrea picture is dark how do I brighten the picture so I can look at my phone without it been a dark picture.
As I am completely unsatisfied with my Mavics shoots no matter which of reccomended setting I try, I will give yours a try too as nobody other recomend it and result is great. OK. postproduction made most of the magic, but still...

where do you get your music for download?
Maybe you can clarify you pic settings for me. The vast majority of Mavic Pro vids state that 1080/60 is garbage, combined with the plethora of online forum posts reporting horrendous results with 60fps. Why is it youre able to some how obtain quality while all others fall short?
