Great comparison, thanks. I’ve had the Mini 2 almost 4 years. For those looking into drones, knowing how to use: Flying techniques (patterns, approach, etc), adjust proper settings for your filming area (iso, MP, etc), post production, among other things will help you a TON. It's the same concept as an experienced photographer can take amazing photos with a simple camera due to experience and knowledge. I learned on my mini 3, and when I found it's limits and started using it everyday, I upgraded to the mini 4 pro. If you don't have the budget though, don't worry, learn how to use the ones from the video. You will still have awesome shots and a lot of fun. Happy flying!

I do not like the remote with screen build in because it makes streaming to youtube or FB much more difficult. The remote with screen doesnt have a simcard slot and had to be connected trough the hotspot of your phone... also giving wifi interference to the controller/drone connection, while connected directly to a phone in airplanemode doesnt give that interference. The hotspot on a phone gives a speed of 5 - 9mb/s while a direct 5G connection can give 20 to 150mb/s. @@MMgamz Yup. Mini 2 has digital camera zoom but I have read that Mini 4k does not - so I bought a Mini 2. Otherwise this drone is a Mini 2 built in the body of a Mini 2se.
Do you think that DJI will still sell you a care refresh plan if you buy it from Amazon? As long as you do it the way where they make you send a video that it flies and runs correctly?
You don't have to do any of that. You can buy in 48 hour after activation, directly true the app of the dji website. Only AFTER the first 48 hours that 'video thing' is an option. Doesn't matter where you bay, the dji activation program is worldwide the same.

So the DJI Mini 3 4K is an upgraded version of the DJI Mini 4K ? I’m curious about the reason as to why they place the screen at the bottom of the controller, since that’s where the hands are going to be, to fly the equipment ….
Is there a cheap display you could use instead of a phone? My phone's screen is shot and so is the battery. Works great as a phone though. Wouldn't want to buy a new phone, just to use the Mini 4k.
Lots of options. Anything running a recent Android or iOS operating system. I've used Samsung phones, iPhones, and iPads. Tablets requires a bracket to hold it on the controller, but it's a nice option, especially if you already have one. You should be able to pick up a relatively late model phone for cheap. FYI, I never use my primary phones for flying. Also an option: you can have the RC-N1 charge the phone while in use.

I am a newly retired pilot, and I am considering getting into drones and aerial photography as a hobby and possible side business, including my 107 license. I am a complete newbie at both. I have the budget for a mini 4 Pro, but as a beginner, should I start with a more entry level drone or just be “one and done? In either scenario, what drone would you recommend?
I dont know If what i would say helps but, the mini 4 pro has obstacle avoidance sensors so you have some thing stopping you from crashing it, now doesnt mean you shouldnt be careful. I would recommend getting the 4 pro. Its really good and easy to fly, if you are worried get the extended warranty
I live in NJ and frequently go to California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah Where can I fly this drone? I know National Parks are off limits. Are public beaches ok, if there is Zero person around me? How about State Parks and local trails?
Nice video….I am thinking of adding a drone to my equipment. Since it looks like the government is going to ban DJI drones from flying in the USA do you have any recommendations for other drone companies?
@@Hexsae you probably won’t click the link I would not either but google USA government to ban DJI drones,..it’s definitely on the table and like tik Tok most likely to banned.
@@biggooseadventures From what I've been reading, it seems "The bill will only prevent the use of federal funds to purchase DJI drones and use by federal agencies." shouldn't have an affect on normal hobbyists. It could also prevent it from connecting to the internet but then again you wouldn't really need to do that ever. Can DL firmware updates on the sd and put into your drone. Also, it seems the bill has an extremely low % chance of actually passing. Saw under 10% somewhere but could be wrong.
DJI Care Refresh is not an extended warranty, but more like an insurance. If you crash the drone, no matter who's fault is - they will replace it. This is not something , that can happen with the normal warranty.

Boa noite amigo. Sabe se o mini 4k funciona no litchi?
Do they sale drone without the controller?
Does no wi-fi connection to the phone mean that pictures will not go straight to the phone?
I’m not a beginner but I. Looking for a mini drone 😮do I get this or mini 3/4
4 if it’s in your budget.
@@FlytPath thank you! and with RC or no need
Mini 3 has been on sale at Costco for $299 recently June/July 2024.
Is it a valid deal? I mean with complete warranty etc
Sold out @@rajeshrana631
Thanks. I have come to the same conclusion. I’ve decided to wait for the mini 5 Pro, keeping an eye on the ongoing Congressional actions.
@@lml8194 thats going to be a while
@@lml8194 they need to come out with the mini 4 first
Does the mini 4k not perform well at night (really low light)?, tried mine tonight, drifts on the side and seems unstable 👀
Low light will always be a challenge with these smaller sensores camera
I have Mavic Mini combo but aircraft fly away and still can not buy air craft because Dji discontinued
will this be available in Canada or only the US
Definitely could've touched on third party software that makes all features available to all drones basically
I live in NJ and frequently go to California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah
Where can I fly this drone?
I know National Parks are off limits.
Are public beaches ok, if there is Zero person around me?
How about State Parks and local trails?
I don’t know the exact laws but there’s a lot of apps that show areas where you can fly, I personally use Air Control by Aloft
Nice video….I am thinking of adding a drone to my equipment. Since it looks like the government is going to ban DJI drones from flying in the USA do you have any recommendations for other drone companies?
Whered you hear of this?
@@Hexsae you probably won’t click the link I would not either but google USA government to ban DJI drones,..it’s definitely on the table and like tik Tok most likely to banned.
@@Hexsae google USA government to ban DJI drones …you will see plenty of link discussing where this bill is.
@@Hexsae thank you letting me know…the DJI mini 4K seems like a cool drone. I used to have a phantom 3 pro
So I have the original Mini 2 do I need the remote ID I’m confused with the rule. I haven’t flown since the new law went into effect.
As long as you haven't registered it, you fly only for pleasure, and it's under 250g, then no, you don't need RID.
does the mini 3 have tracking capabilities ?
I believe DJI only puts tracking on drones with object avoidance sensors, so no.
It's strange the DJI Mini 4K drone isn't listed anywhere on DJI's website either the informational site or their online store. It's only on Amazon.
Amazon only release
DJI Care Refresh is not an extended warranty, but more like an insurance. If you crash the drone, no matter who's fault is - they will replace it. This is not something , that can happen with the normal warranty.
You didn’t say if the mini 3 controller with the screen can be used with the dji mini 4k
it cant unfortunately
can the mini 4k be flown as FPV. and if so what inexpensive goggles would work?
Del Mar?
