What is the main difference between Sokoji and SFZC? Is it like a less "beatnick", Americanized Zen Buddhism?

We have largely retained the role of a Japanese-style temple. We do not practice monasticism like Zen centers, but most of our members visit temples to make offerings to their ancestors, to pray, and to participate in cultural and traditional events held at the temple.
