Bro Chigari (BRTS) is a grand flop idea for Hubli-Dwd, they implemented it without taking into account of traffic and required lane width for other private vehicles.
Yes .i stay in Hubli. Brts is a big flop. There is congestion in private lane. And time taken from Hubli to Dharwad was initially 35-40 minutes. Now it has gone past 50-55 minutes. Accident have increased on this route due to jay walking and signal broken by bikes. It only works on wide roads ..here in Hubli they acquired land. There is no proper parking planning in this project. People cross roads to come to brts station. They don't use those bridges.

3:10 if road capacity is reduced, according to research, the amount of people on the road will also decrease. Unless you build a 50-lane highway everywhere, congestion will not be solved so only if you make driving uncomfortable with correct planning of systems like brts and metro people will find it more convenient to take them and traffic doesn't increase whether there are 10 or 50 people in a bus but it matters if there are 8 or 40 cars. When you're waiting for a bus at red light, think of it as equivalent to 40 cars
Indore BRTS is the most successful system in the country Because it targets both students which travel daily to bhawarkua, nawlakkha, and geetabhavan for coachings and colleges as well as working class who travel to Palasia , LIG , vijaynagar and devas naka which has cooperative office . The main reason for indore BRTS success is the route which cover all areas in which people Travel the most .
Many problems: 1. No staircase of bridge to reach till middle bus stop. 2. Older people and school child needs to cross traffic to reach in between. 3. Underpass or Overpass if its done to reach middle bus stop then people can use it. 4. Metro can be good option in such case: at bottom area there will be BRTS and people can use same walking bridge to reach at top for metro

problems with ahmedabad brts is that sometimes buses enter regular traffic, vehicles enter brts corridor for shortcuts, less people use it otherwise it's a great system. it has developed a lot in recent years and connectivity has improved a lot in recent years.
Pune BRTS is a fail... just created a traffic problem by encroaching on a road which was already narrow and these busses can run on the left as well. Metro is a better solution but implemented 10 years too late and now you can't even build flyovers due to metro stations.
If the city is not large enough, even a normal bus service can work well if proper planning & execution is done. The best example of this is Nashik. We don't have a BRTS, but the bus service is far better than many big cities, and has at least eliminated the need of metro in our city.

Thank you for forcing me to tilt my head on left side to read the name. P.S. The names are also mentioned at the side of stations which you can read only if you are closer to either side.
BRTS is successful in Ahmedabad, but in some parts only. It isn't very useful in the western side, like the area around Nirma Uni and Adalaj crossroads, SBR, where most connectivity is required. And some important routes are planned almost identically to local transport, increasing commuting time. So what you're saying is actually true
Have used BRTS in both Ahmedabad and Pune... and there's a huge difference between the two... Ahmedabad BRTS was so much smoother and there was also better lane discipline. Pune BRTS is a joke! There are so many vehicles traveling in that "dedicated lane" that you would be better off not taking BRTS if you want to be on time...
BRTS is helplful even though you don’t actually feel like it. When more people take up public transport the general congestion will always decrease. And if the travel time is predictable by having a dedicated lane almost always people will go for the shortest time of transport. If you say then that’s what metro is for, the cost of building a metro is far far more than having a dedicated bus lane. And based on the peak time you can increase the no of busses, it’s far difficult to remove and add coaches in a metro and usually the metro is costlier
BRTS system is Highly Successful, now majority of the busses are Electric and few are running on cng , also they have highly connectivity all across city (infact it the biggest transport network in pune)

And it's well spread and.. and well executed and also.. now with the go green project... All electric buses and getting added to the fleet.... And it's very successful in my opinion... According to me I don't know whether it's getting profit to the government or not... But it's helpful to the everyone who lives in Ahmedabad.. that's very important for Ahmedabadi like me....
Even then the private bus fares are peanuts, nowhere in India can you travel quite large distances for ₹15. Trams and metros have the capacity to carry more people however, and Kolkata needs to modernise its tram network in order to decongest its roads when it comes to short to medium distance travel.
govt. bus fair is very high compared to private buses in my area. only draw back for private buses is that they aren't air conditioned except Volvo buses
The problem is really lack of fully dedicated lanes. Lack of dedicated lanes at intersections or certain sections completely kill time saving advantage of BRTS
Bus transit of Kolkata and suburban areas around it is best in India. Hundreds of operational buses in the important routes and 900+ routes including non-governmental, governmental, AC and Mini buses. Even though it does not have a fancy rapid name and very few dedicated bus lanes, they would mostly make you reach your destination on time. Fares don't reach more than 30 excluding non AC.

@@SeizeTheDayMukhtar seriously ? what area has congestion? do u even reside in hubli-dwd?
@@harshakurtkoti2166 Dude. I travel more oftenly between two cities. And if you have doubts about me residing in Hubli / Dharwad. Come and meet I'll buy you a free coffee.. but come during evening hours with your personal vehicle and don't skip traffic signals 😅😅. You'll get answer for both of your confusions. I'm Dharwad born huduga staying here since 32 years.
BRTS system is profitable and successful in Hubbli - Dharwad. Even you can make a video on this and especially Dharwad city and how government is trying to build it like a educational hub especially after IIT and IIIT and many other colleges and universities. And yess because of these many students and being a twin city BRTS system there are damm successful
It's not Successful if it creates a bigger problem for other people apart from Brts.. we have such a narrow road for other commuters. We needed metro or elevated Flyover badly.
I'm not Indori but in my sense Indore is a Role model of every city in North India, it is the cleanest city of India. They have the best Waste Management System and even BRTS is doing really good there.
Well Indore isn't in North India.
@@prakhardubey2356 yeah but in mid part of India.
Don't Forget that you have a brother standing besides you... SURAT !
Visit Surat Once...
SURAT has the LONGEST BRTS NETWORK of 108 KM in entire India. They have recently introduced 100+ ORANGE AC ELECTRIC with CCTV camera Buses besides RED and Blue Buses.
SURAT's BRTS network is also successful!
Can't say about other cities, but it's very successful here in Gujarat. Buses and stations are so tightly packed with people.
Ahmd BRTS is so good bro. Electric AC good for commuting esp in heat and I love it and it is successful otherwise 70% of it would not have been electric and it wouldnt have expanded. Use other brt pics and videos
Yes true, BRTS has ac, they are electric (at least here in ahemdabad)what more facilities do we want ????
They are comfortable and convenient here in Indore as well 😄
E-bus to thik hai but pehle vaale buses se bohot small hai electric bus yeh Bus small size ke Karan saare passengers ko carry nahi kar paati
@@shashankthakur5606 small?
Buses size is equal to the conventional diesel buses. And on important route there is a bus every 10-15min. This is in ahemdabad. So everything is fine
@@AdityaVerma-vh6dw but do you not think that carrying capacity passengers of diesel buses are more than electric Bus? There are few seat and space for standing in electronic Bus.
I was in Indore 6 years back and the BRTS was even good at that time , not sure now , but it was really efficient that time
I have used brts for a long period in ahemdabad ...i can say it helped me a lot
3:10 if road capacity is reduced, according to research, the amount of people on the road will also decrease. Unless you build a 50-lane highway everywhere, congestion will not be solved so only if you make driving uncomfortable with correct planning of systems like brts and metro people will find it more convenient to take them and traffic doesn't increase whether there are 10 or 50 people in a bus but it matters if there are 8 or 40 cars. When you're waiting for a bus at red light, think of it as equivalent to 40 cars
Brts in Ahmedabad is very much successful. People travel more often in brts than auto rickshaw.
Yes❤❤❤
Many problems:
1. No staircase of bridge to reach till middle bus stop.
2. Older people and school child needs to cross traffic to reach in between.
3. Underpass or Overpass if its done to reach middle bus stop then people can use it.
4. Metro can be good option in such case:
at bottom area there will be BRTS and people can use same walking bridge to reach at top for metro
Surat City have a very successful brts buses. With world class electric buses.
Best thing about BRTS is for daily comers just spent 30rs abd can travel anywhere anytime in a day
I really love the BRTS service in Hubli-Dharwad, Karnataka. But I feel the project was work in progress for too many years
We needed Hubli Dharwad metro. Or elevated Flyover
Many people say that overall bus services in Karnataka are really good. Are they really so good or are they overrated
@@PrathameshNalgewouldn't say really good, but better than the majority of Indian states. And yea the BRTS in Hubli is actually pretty good.
Yes , I agree with the video because in Bhopal due to lack of maintenance Brts corridor is very well damage
Improper research. Do research about BRTS in Surat, and Ahmedabad; extremely successful project, spread over hundreds of kms.
4:47 Ahmd me Route bada h plus max to max 1 Km me station ata h. Mere gar se 500 M me hi station h or expan hota h or me Brts leke h college jata hu jo sidha uske samne station h or zyadatar lower class hi travel krta h sp. Majdoor
I'm also from Ahmedabad. Bhai lower class ??? Even middle class and rich people are also using brts because it's really clean and well maintained
I live in indore but I'd say I'm satisfied. Only 2 complains are that buses are slow and The route is limited to straight of AB Road highway.
I'm from Indore and its successful here and is the most important mode of transport for us
In Rajkot, Gujarat BRTS is the preferred mode of transport for lakhs every day. I would say that's fairly successful.
Bhai you wrong brts is lifeline of Ahmedabad.
We can't imagine Ahmedabad transport system without brts it is everywhere in part of Ahmedabad
Amdavadi : Only issue with Ahmedabad BRTS unused Roads at night and not utilise timings properly waiting time more then 10min + and last mile connectivity much better with AMTS
Ala aarohi nu address khabar?
In Pune city,
1.Wakad - Bhosari BRTS.
2.Aundh - Ravet BRTS.
3.Nagar road's BRTS. are successful.

@@moreshubham4393brts is just name for that system in Pune brtc runs by pmpl only
problems with ahmedabad brts is that sometimes buses enter regular traffic, vehicles enter brts corridor for shortcuts, less people use it otherwise it's a great system. it has developed a lot in recent years and connectivity has improved a lot in recent years.
Certain parts of Pune BRT work well too, except that they don't give ticket on the station itself 😊
Yes. Wakad - Bhosari BRTS.
Aundh - Rsvet BRTS.
Pune BRTS is a fail... just created a traffic problem by encroaching on a road which was already narrow and these busses can run on the left as well. Metro is a better solution but implemented 10 years too late and now you can't even build flyovers due to metro stations.
@@Abhsjdj Swargate-Katraj Too
@@dejikay2564 I didn't say all the metro stations, yeah thanks to the previous government,if it weren't for today's pmc we wouldn't even have a metro
If the city is not large enough, even a normal bus service can work well if proper planning & execution is done. The best example of this is Nashik. We don't have a BRTS, but the bus service is far better than many big cities, and has at least eliminated the need of metro in our city.
Amritsar brts was also very successful. Buses were also full packed always . But govt stop the services bcoz of corruption 😅

Thank you for this video. I always believed that BRTS is the best solution for Metro cities. But sadly it was never implemented properly.
Bro you are on point like always
I'm from surat and I can relate with some of these problems,
but BRTS is very heplful & reliable and there are improvements made day by day
In Karnataka Hubli, Dharwad city as brt system ❤
I have used the brts system when I travelled from Ahmedabad to Vadodara, its fast but summer temperatures are too hot to think of
BRTS is within the city. You can't travel in BRTS from Ahmedabad to Vadodara. And BRTS buses are AC so no problem in summer.
Thank you for showing Ahmedabad BRTS stations/stops. I really want to thank the GENIUS who has put all the station names vertically at the top of station roof.
Bro those are almost outskirts of Ahmedabad and only recently included in AUDA.
Bahi ekbar Ahmedabad brts par details research Karo. It is too cheap, secure & fast.
Arey bhai itne cities mei agar ek jagah successful hai toh fir bhi planning mai failure hai
Ek din to gunaro. Ahmedabad me....
Uske bare me thodi research karlo.. bhai 😅...
I'm living in Ahmedabad since past 12 years and i find it very useful means it is useful for all office workforce , students and brts in Ahmedabad in well implemented as needed at the.. best..... And everyday many people use it as the main mode of transportation in Ahmedabad... It is very important part of transport in Ahmedabad...
Surat BRTS is amazingly great and really cheap, approaches most commutable places, and the same network is extended with city buses for last mile.
In hubli dharwad it's successfully running and even we prefer these more than normal transport
Note: power train today video is failed.i thought you are best infra youtuber but know a days you make failed videos with out any proper information

Come to surat to see how efficiently BRTS is working
Kolkata needs more govt bus service for local traveling atleast during office timing.
Private bus market is very influential and profit oriented.
Kolkata needs modern tram and light rail
Kolkata needs lrt and tram, not brts or monorail
@@tanmoychatterjee2125no kolkata need 1000 km metro underground
Are you crazy i recently visit my grandma house barasat to south kolkata took me almost 4 hour journey i regret heavely
@tukaidas1272 Bro...there might be some problem in the route or bus. U should have this little bit of commen sense that a 1hr route can't take 4hrs everytime. Maybe 1.5hrs at max.
@@shivamdubey426 buses don't run on much speed(compared to local train) . one problem for excess time consumption is that Bus stops at anyplace in it's route where a passenger wants to board a bus or comes to its destination. I mean this bus system looks glossy in Tier 2 or maybe in tier 3 cities, but in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengalore where vehical population is huge this thing looks waste cause blocking a particular section of road just for a bus whereas on the other parts of roads the vehicals traffic is big.
There is huge vehicles because public transport is not efficient so many people use personal vehicles but it will little bit difficult in transition from personal to public transport
@@achu10mech41 The thing you said might be true in few places in India but what i majorly noticed is that people buy cars for their status symbol these days mostly, I mean a bike can satisfy human's need to travel from one place to another but still they buy a SUV, and some houses where people are just 3 or 4 but still they own 2 -3 cars.
