Yes MAN generators 5Ls and 7Ls are odd no. Of units therefore quite unbalanced engine, the manufacturer failed to do anything to rectify that common fault. The chemical tankers built out of Korean shipyards mostly ships fitted with 5L MAN BW generators, life was horrible for 3rd Engineers. Every 2 weeks the turbocharger would go out of action. And pistons used to get seized up. Crankshaft bearings get seized up or get scratched up.
