ive owned these for 2 month now. i had a weird break in period where it would make this popping noise where it would pop and there was no sound for like a millisecond and back to normal whenever i listened to music and even more so when i gamed with them. idk why but after a week of that it sounded fine. Really fine actually. Its your typical warm sound signature. Very good bass. recessed mids. Sparkly highs. Not warm enough to be considered a headphone for bassheads. Its detailed but never fatiguing for the music i listen to. Like theres songs i would listen to that would usually make me wince a lil but the radiance never did that. It was like on the edge of i can tell this part of the song is about to hurt but it just tingled me instead. Id say 90% in detail retrieval compared to focal clear mg. this is my favorite closed back for music for now. yes you can game with them but i prefer my dt1990 pro for gaming. Too much stuff going on for when i play competitive pvp games. But everytime i listen to music i feel like theres something missing when i listen with the 1990s now. Comfort wise id give it an 8/10. i can wear these for hours with only getting a mild hotspot on the top of my head and only need to do a lil micro adjustment to get comfortable again. id say this is like a and this is completely subjective here a $800 sounding headphone with $1000 build. The headband does have a bit of creaking like the utopias do. It has matte black/ shiny black with copper accents and its the most beautiful looking headphones ive owned. Do i regret buying them at $1290? Yes. because there was an open box deal for about $900. I was going to keep these anyways but just wished i paid less for them. The reason i bought these is because at first i needed a closedback for my environment (loud ac unit, parents screaming, etc). No its not noise cancelling but the pads do passive noise cancelling well enough for me. I would for sure take these outside to listen to. The only thing im worried about is finding pad replacements for these cuz they dont seem to sell them like they do the clears and utopia. Just felt like i need to put my personal review on here cuz sometimes our ears disagree with zeos. like i also bought the focal clear mg cuz of his review and i couldnt listen to those for more than an hour. Theres something in the treble that gives me a gnarly headache after just casual listening at regular volume. which is weird cuz ive owned the dt1990s for years and never once did those put me to bed cuz of agonizing pain like the clear mgs did. its also not as comfortable as the radiance. it puts a hotspot on the top of my head after only 15 minutes of leaving them on. Overall i cant think of a better closed back that sounds as good as these in its price range thats available. Maybe the argons are better than these? idk never tried them so take this comment section review with a grain of salt as you should with all audio reviews. The closest headphone i can compare this with that ive tried is like an audioquest nighthawk on steroids. Hi Zeos, I was wondering if you had heard that Sennheiser had sold its consumer audio division which makes their headphones, soundbars and DACs. The Pro side of the business is not part of the deal. They've been acquired by a Swiss-based medical hearing company called Sonova Holding AG, which specialises in hearing aids and cochlear implants. Everything going well it sounds like the the deal should be complete by the end of the year. Here's hoping that things don't change too much.
