Thanks Andrei for sharing. I always thought the best way to do real estate in Belarus is to work with locals who know business and real estate laws. Most foreigners are ripped off by folks speaking the same language and often they are easy targets. Thanks for helping home buyers and sellers. Keep up the good work. 👍

Hi, I am learning russian and am considering moving to Belarus in the future. If someone was to buy a property in a village location and was able to obtain a TRP, is remote working for another country allowed? I.e. continue working with the company i already work for in the Uk but remotely from Belarus?
Most of my clients work remotely. For the rest you are most welcome to take a paid consultancy once your plan is solid. We actually have a house ready for the residency application.
@@MinskGuideThanks for the reply. Just so I know the timescale, how long does it typically take? And can a TPO be given while on a student visa as well?
I'm working remotely from Belarus and I can also confirm there's nothing to worry about. The internet is pretty stable and with decent speed. VPN services work fine too.
And may I ask about which paragraph of the law we're talking about? Because I've had a few cases of people staying for 2 weeks without anything canceled...
@@MinskGuideby law their time permit should be cancelled, perhaps they’ve just got lucky. They’ll struggle to renew it. Second point, the law states that if you spend more than 6 months of the year outside of Belarus or obtain a third country’s residency permit or get more than 2 administrative fines your permit will be cancelled.
Yes in theory but in practice not always true. I had a yearly residency because i bought a house and was only visiting belarus for 2 months a year without problems for years. Now married and a kid and bought other properties and have a permanent residency and still only living 2 months in belarus. I guess its a case by case, wheb renewal if you have money in belarusian bank, support your family there, have properties....never had any fine..., renting houses only by cobtracts and paying invome taxes on time.most likely they are disgarding the short period living in minsk, maybe cz i have a kid there....
Regarding the TRP, a lawyer said yes 180 days in belarus is a must. The OGIM, then disgarded this because the ground for getting the TRP was the purchase of the house, since until i ownes the house, the ground for getting the TRP was justufied and renewed without problems for many years. But no mater what, they can anytime find a reason for not renewing. Just stay away from problems and never drink and drive there. Some people are lucky, and for some they can ask to show how you support yourself, or have money in bank.st one time they calculated usubf belarusian minimal wage how much money is needed for a year, and had to show them i have this amount ready in a belaeusan bank. For now they even told me they dont needed, but a need a paper showing my income living abroad. Its a case by case scenario... Last year tried to apply for belarusian passeport and got kicked uout nicely from their office, i showed renting contracts and income taxes...they said for us its not considered invome when you only buy and rent houses here. I left because they became quite frustrated..)
Thanks for putting up with us!
Cheers guys, always a pleasure)
Sure! Relocate to Belarus! I did. (and Andrei accomplished it)
Did you know that your old apartment in Vitebsk is rented out again?

Yes, same nationality scam is quite popular, unfortunately.

Do you do any work down in Gomel in the villages?
It's not the area which I would associate with work or employment.
Thanks

Andrei the law is clear. If you’re outside of Belarus for more than 181 days your TRP cancels!

Can someone work yandex taxi job with an international drivers license or one needs a Belarusian drivers licence?
It seems international one would do. Check with your employment consultant, please.
If I get a permanent residency in Belarus, am I obliged to stay in Belarus for some minimum amount of time?
Yes.

I guess there is some difference between Minsk and Grodno then?)
