Thanks Charlie😊 We like to use the axes brushes. We hear a lot of good things about zibra brushes but unfortunately we haven’t had the chance to try them out.
They looked really lovely, I did feel though, that the grey wax drawers might look better in the middle with the clear at the bottom. All in all a great job. 😍
A little bit but they gave us full asking price so it is want it is haha They did a really bad job on the repaint and sold them a few weeks later for a massive loss 😂 They would of been better buying a really cheap set at a charity shop. They painted straight over all our work and the paint didn’t stick. They didn’t do any prep work so the paint of course would stick over the top coats and wax 😂
@@furniturefliphustle3531 wow, I've been playing around with old pine pieces for our house and learned so much. Just done my dresser using anaglypta on the drawer fronts. It looks as if it is pressed metal (which is popular here in Australia). I'm so pleased with it! Anaglypta is so expensive here so I got a friend to bring a roll back from the UK for me and I've been using it sparingly!

Really, you want to rub the wood back to bare before applying wax and also, use wire wool to apply it so you get a nice smooth finish, just a quick a buff. The end result looks good thou, good idea 👍
Would it be possible to melt a bit of the clear wax and then add a touch of stain to create a colored wax? I have been considering the idea, but have not experimented with it? Have you guys ever tried this idea?
I’m not sure tbh Michael, I’ve never seen it done before. We can try it out in a upcoming video for you if you want? I have seen someone melt colored crayons into clear wax and that works really well. We could also do a video on that if you like?
Thank you Anya. No, you should always prep your piece of furniture before you do anything. Cleaning and lighting sanding will result in a much better finish. Zinsser is used for load of things but we use it to stop wood bleed. The shellac base blocks it from coming through the paint 😊
Liked the use of 3 different finishing waxes. Made the bedside tables look so much more expensive. Best wishes Alison

Yeah we give a light sand after each coat. It gives a smoother finish 😊

Isn’t sugar soap corrosive to your hands? Is that diluted or concentrated sugar soap?
Na it’s just a strong degreaser, kind of like a strong fairy liquid. As long as you wash it off you’ll be fine. And we dilute it with water 😊
