I love the traditional shape of the dresser with the new paint job. The gold handles are a perfect modern accent so I guessed you'd call this a transitional vibe. Great job, Angie!
And when that end music starts we all just sit back and smile… prepared to be amazed. Us: “How can Angie make this beautiful piece better?” Angie: *winks* “watch me” You never disappoint sweetie!
It turned out beautifully! I’m not generally a fan of gold, but I definitely agree it was the way to go here. The shape of those knobs looks so much more high-end as well! Really nice “flip”! The first version was beautiful, too, but this redo definitely takes it up several notches!
This definitely shows how much you have progressed in just 2 years! The 1st restore was amazing but this…..girl…. is beautiful! The choice of color (which doesn’t seem as dark as hand painted flower dresser) and choice of pulls, all over the top! Hoping this next video shows how to fix wanky drawers that wiggle in place if that makes sense. Or a whole video on fixing dresser drawers? Once again, your talent is soaring!
Love the gold hardware. It accents the tone of the wood and paint nicely. It's always interesting to see what kind of life a piece lives when it leaves you. Nice work, my friend!
Angie, liked the previous colors but I have to say, I do like this dipped look better. The colors are high end and the gold goes so well with the new look. Excellent job!
Wow, Angie! That piece is fantastic! I really liked the first refinish you did, but that second one knocked it out of the park! Definitely, the gold hardware looks much better. I really like the style. Such wonderful talent! The only thing we were missing was your supervisor, Nacho!😂😂❤❤
Glad you liked it!! He's never far but had previous engagements this week (I think he's just trying to build suspense for when he does make an appearance. 😺)
Definitely prefer the gold with this look. Love how it turned out and looking forward to the video on making the new drawer glides. Thanks Angie. Hope you guys are keeping well.
Hi Angie, I very rarely comment on anything ever, but I just have to here. I know little about furniture restoration but I simply enjoy watching you work with the dedication, precision, and commitment to make any piece look the best it can be, and in the most exactingly perfect way. I have got so used to your work that whenever I do stray and watch another furniture flip or restoration post, I cannot help but cringe and yell at the screen for all the major mistakes being made; sanding cross grain, gouging whilst scraping, ripping off edging and breaking them, rough sanding and rough lacquering, streaks everywhere, I mean, what! You are by far the best, and I will continue watching your posts with the greatest pleasure. Thank you!
Oh my… you really classed it up! I love it! It’s not often in life we get chances to do-over, so enjoy the satisfaction of getting the opportunity here. Well done, Angie!
I thought there was no way it could look any better. The first transformation was so amazing. However, this new version is jaw-dropping. Your work is incredible.
The final iteration is so beautiful! The wood tone is so nice next to the paint, I think this is a great example of how just a slight tone change can make something look so eye catching! (Is it weird that the wood tone looks like something I want to eat? Kind of like a blonde chocolate situation? Just me? 😂)
I love the new iteration - more subtle and sophisticated. The gold knobs give it a modern touch. I always appreciate the attention to detail you bring to your projects, even to finishing the insides of the drawers. It looks great, and I hope you're feeling better.
Absolutely stunning, to my mind they definitely needed to be renovated rather than upcycled. You’ve brought them back to their original art deco glory. Perfection. Also your videos are so informative so thank you for that too.
Likewise, this is really nice! The new "dipped" look makes more sense, and is more consistent with the feet being painted and the dip line being at the same level all around. The wash really subdues the wildness of the pine grain, but letting it be a bit natural. I think either the black or gold handles would work with this color arrangement, so maybe it would just be a buyer's choice. Great work, Angie 😁 And probably a good thing no furry critters were around when the paint wash was in work - camouflage cats and bunnies sitting on top, um no 🤣
Love the gold hardware and that the bottom of the dresser is all one colour, it looks more cohesive Sorry to hear you’ve been un well, hoping you don’t over do it and your health continues to improve. 😘
Gorgeous!!! I love the paint wash on the pine!!! And the drawer guides are perfect!!! What a huge, functional improvement and demonstrates the investment in your shop you’ve been able to make (w/ the addition of the table saw, etc) over the past 2 years!!! The handles look lovely . The black looked more casual, which is also a great look in your prior rendition.
You’ve definitely added an extra dimension to this piece Angie. Every time I watch your channel I feel so privileged to be involved in the wonderful transformations you make. Thank you so much for letting me be in your work and expertise xx
I love the gold hardwareware ! As always you've done a great job I've learnt so much watching your videos and you have inspired me to begin flipping my own furniture
Gorgeous. I love the gold hardware. Especially the clean modern look of it. The Fusion colours you chose go beautifully together. Stunning work as always.
First iteration was perfect with black hardware. The sharp contrast between the two colors gave it a contemporary look which was greatly enhanced with black pieces. The second iteration also uses the contemporary vocabulary but the contrast is smoother. Brass hardware adds a touch of sophistication and elegance to the finish. Personally, I don’t know yet which iteration I prefer: both are stunning. Great job and thank you for sharing!
The gold pulls look more high end. 👍🏻 I like this version better. I like how you are take the time to make sure that your painted areas are ‘complete’, by that I mean under where the drawers are and on the bottom. Most folks don’t bother with that. Most folks also don’t sand the inside of the drawers either. I appreciate your intention to make it look ‘as new as possible.’ 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Watching for the second time. This was so much nicer and the hardware made it rich looking. I’d rather watch Angie’s videos 2-3x than anything on tv. So much to learn ❤️
Both are well done. Glad to see you take such pride in restoring pieces - paying attention to every detail is like buying brand new. The gold hardware freshens up the new flip. Great job!
I adore that gold hardware and the paintwash on this piece really lets the wood look beautiful and muted instead of ugly orange. I grew up in a house FULL of orange doors, orange trim, orange closet doors, etc, and have always hated it, so any time you rescue a piece from ugly orange I'm happy.
Definitely the gold handles, its taken it up a notch. Whilst the original makeover was good, I just love seeing how far you have come regarding the 'little'details like masking off where the drawers go, what needs to be done if turned up-side-down AND woodworking skillz (awesome to have the tools now). I much prefer this make over, even the finish over the wash looks more hardy and 'finished'. Awesome as always, keep up the smashing work.
Oh wow, what a difference! Subtle, but so striking. You’re so talented Angie. 😁. I like the gold hardware best - more elegant and contemporary, and it suits the piece.
Hi Angie, l much prefer the more subtle colour of this flip. When the colour is paired with the gold hardware the dresser is given a more sophisticated look! Well done! Hope you give yourself time to heal well. Lots of cuddles with Nacho and Bunnies should help a lot! 😊
This is what I’m talking about! I just sold a dresser I flipped with same wash color. 2 tone. This is Beautiful! You rock sis! Be blessed ya’all! 🇺🇸✝️🥰
It is amazing how you keep topping what you made beautiful before. I love this piece and the gold hardware looks so rich! Thank you for this entertainig video!💖💖💖
I didn't think I was going to like the paint wash look but WOW! That reveal had me fully on board. It looks fantastic and I absolutely would have picked the same hardware your did. 👏 Nicely done!
I'm commenting before fully watching the video, so I haven't seen Take Two on this piece, but I absolutely loved your work on this. I remember seeing the final product back then and being so in awe. It was beautiful! I'm sad to see it go, but it's time for a new beginning, again
It's amazing how much of a difference there really is between the two types of hardware. The gold hardware puts the piece solidly in the 'dresser for the bedroom' category; but the black hardware gives it a more industrial feel. It could almost serve as a credenza, but with feet. Dining room, behind the sofa, or in an office. Goes kinda without saying that the refinish job is awesome, as always. :)
Well ya gone and out done yourself again! The black hardware suited the first redo. The gold hardware on this is perfect. Man you sure know how to pick out paint for the right piece of furniture. Love your reveal music 👍🏼👏🏼😍
I wish I lived closer to you so that I could purchase a beautiful piece; I especially like this latest piece. I live in the southernmost part of Texas where the temperature has been averaging above 100 degrees and feeling like 115 degrees because of the heat index. I envy that you can wear warm clothes in your workshop. Thank you for keeping us entertained and educated. Have a very good day; I wish you well. Liz
You're very welcome! The current weather we're having it not the norm for this time of year. We get incredibly hot and muggy, long sleeves and pants are usually not part of the June/July wardrobe here in the valley. Thanks so much for watching! 🙂
It looks great and very upscale with the gold. The black changes it from bedroom/living room dresser to a more kitchen island kind of vibe - amazing what a difference hardware can make.
I typically don’t like gold finished metals but the gold hardware is definitely the perfect choice for this piece. I want to thank you for your videos. My daughter recently bought a vacation home in the mountains and wanted to update the kitchen by painting the cabinets and replacing the existing open shelves with gorgeous live edge rosewood shelves. Before your videos I would have used one thick coat of paint on the cabinets. By using thinner coats, the results were amazing. The rosewood still had the kerf marks from the saw at the mill. I started with a 40 grit sand paper and gradually worked up to a 400 grit paper. I had a jar of Fusion beeswax already so I used that. The shelves turned out beautifully. By using the techniques that I learned in your videos, my daughter has a kitchen that she loves. I have a sense of accomplishment and pride in the work I did. The results are dramatically better than anything I had done in the past. I lost all my furniture in a fire two years ago. I have some pieces that I rescued from the dumpster. I love the lines but the finish is pretty rough. I have to confidence to start working on them, I just can’t decide on color. I have a jar of the Fusion Algonquin but there are some other colors I really like as well. It may come down to a coin toss…
The shelves sound gorgeous! Kudos to you for doing all that work! I'm so sorry about the fire but it sounds like you're well on your way to redoing pieces for yourself. I love that. Thank you so much for watching! 😀
I like the black pulls better. The piece looks nice with both colors. I like the color upgrade. It's really cool that you were able to fix the drawer pulls. Thank you for the video ❤
Speed recovery and good Karma to you!!.....Learning and upping your gaming is the best part of redoing furniture....Turned out beautiful.....Ive been using white hardware on a few pieces for a different sorta vintage look. ....Thank you!

Thanks so much! 😊
@@TranscendFurnitureGallery Definitely the gold.
Like always I really enjoy watching your content. For me definitely gold color. Looks more rich:)

I love that “reveal” music, I always get so excited. 😄

Definitely the gold hardware. The Algonquin pairs so nicely with the Oakham. Looking forward to the drawer slide video!
Coming soon! Thank you so much for watching! 😀

@@TranscendFurnitureGallery thanks for doing this video! I love seeing people revamp old projects of their own ❤️
Perfect comment!
Good way to put it! Yes!❤
Yes, more sophisticated. 😊
Another beautiful job, Angie! I love the gold hardware with the colors you chose.
Thank you so much!
Love the gold hardware. It accents the tone of the wood and paint nicely. It's always interesting to see what kind of life a piece lives when it leaves you. Nice work, my friend!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that! 😀
I love how it turned out. The gold drawer handles are perfect.

Thank you so much!
Yep. The gold hardware is beautiful. The finish is really elegant. Great job!

The Gold looks great with the change in color. 🥰.

Gold for sure! Love the Oakham color, as I am very burnt out on grey. The chest you did in Oakham with the large flower is my very favorite piece.
