I'm a recovering alcoholic. This truly hits home. I prayed to God everyday to quit drinking. Once he gave me that opportunity I took it. It's been 2 years
Everyone here is giving Morgan, the Writer, God, and everyone else credit. One person mentions Lauren Graham. One. When it is her reactions that bring the emotions in you to the front. Don't believe me? Listen to it without looking at the screen and see if it hits you the same.
I used to pray to God and asked Him to help me pass my exams. I always failed those. Since that wasn't working, I prayed to God that He grant me the ability to pass my test, and I passed every single one of them. God wants to help, but He doesn't want to do the work for you; He wants US to do the work, and He is happy when you ask for the opportunity to do the work. Always, look for the opportunities to help each other, and we will have a much happier life here on God's green Earth.

The ability of the scriptwriter to come up with the words that can drop your jaw a bit, amazes me...
The portrayal of God as a public servant is a stroke of genius that's unrivaled in any other media
Holywood knows about God but they choose not to represent him because you cant be greedy and praising God at the same time
If God had a conversation with us...he would not condemn us...he would comfort and reassure us...especially with how much he loves us.
As another wise man once said: "We can't expect God to do all the work."
“I got a lot of people to serve.” :)

Love how God acknowledges and respects free will. He wont force you, because he loves you, but he will give you the chance to obtain what you desire.
Point of Bruce and Evan Almighty, be the miracle through an act of random kindness. At least that is what I like to believe.
I love how gods always doing what a lot of people consider menial jobs.

They couldn't have found a better actor to play God than Morgan Freeman. He is one of my most favorite actors of all time.
This is a very powerful scene, a great message, and she even gets a bonus: fried fish and french fries from God himself.
God does not give us directly what we want in life but gives us the means to achieve it by ourselves.
There should be more movies like this.
I'm a strong believer in Christ and this scene really hits home
God gives us opportunities. It's up to us to take them or not.

Now, I'm atheist… but… this scenes man, too good
