Sounds like many people don't seem to listen to my point... I never said gyze is insanely strong. The point is that it's a 100% RNG reliant card. THAT is unhealthy for the game. RNG has been Vanguard's biggest issue since its beginning. Why increase it with such niche random autowin? I could let my dog pilot a gyze deck and it'll win a set percentage of time, regardless of his inability to understand the game, PURELY off sacking. That is a problem.
The worst part is that if you Gyze the opponent on their turn it is essentialy an autowin, since they most likely used most of their skills at that point and it can even cock block the opponent from those last few attacks that could have actually fineshed you of; essentialy stealing that game. At least the way the card seems worded to me kind of implies that.
that's why it won't last long in the competitive seen, everyone is soooo focused on gyze himself when the solution is usually the easiest one, defeat them before they stride on to him
Solemn Vanguard cf-vanguard.com/information/gyze/ FAQ on Gyze: -----GENERAL INFO----- 1. Neon Gyze is part of the main deck. If you use him, your entire main deck must use opaque sleeves (since G4 Gyze is on the back, it mustn't be visible). 2. Instead of Forerunner, when you ride on top of Neon Gyze, it moves to the face up side of the G zone. It does not count for GB, however. 3. Any time you check a trigger, one of your Zeroths can be bound. 4. When you pay the cost for Ultimate Stride, if you have at least five different Zeroth Dragons bound, remove your soul, all cards on your other circles (including locked circles), your G zone, and your heart. (As we guessed, Gyze not having the + at the end of the 30000 actually wasn't a typo, so he's a flat 30k since there is no heart) 5. When you Ultimate Stride Gyze, call five bound Zeroths to (RC). At the beginning of your next turn, deal 1 damage to your opponent for each Zeroth on (RC) you have. 6. If you run Gyze, you may include Zeroths from all nations. 7. Neon Gyze doesn't have to be your first Vanguard, but you must ride it eventually to use its skill. 8. Gyze's sleeve only needs to match your main deck, as it is a part of the main deck. When it goes into the G zone, it's fine if the sleeve is different than the other cards in your G zone. 9. Since Gyze goes to the G zone, you are allowed to have more than 16 cards in your G zone IN-GAME. However, before you start the fight, you cannot have more than 16 cards in your G zone. -----SPECIFICS----- 10. Neon Gyze is a normal unit, even in the G zone, and will not count towards the GB counter. 11. Neon Gyze will count, however, when a card has an effect that counts the number of face up cards in the G zone. For example, "Abominable One, Gilles de Rais"'s skill states: "If the number of face up cards in your G zone is two or more, this unit gets [Critical]+1 until end of turn." Neon Gyze will count in this instance. 12. Neon Gyze will change the effects of both Drive and Damage checks. Both will bind a Zeroth from your G zone instead. 13. If Neon Gyze happens to be on (RC), it can still be locked. 14. If Neon Gyze happens to be turned face down while in your G zone due to effects such as "Thunderbolt Shockwave Colossus", Neon Gyze's skills will still be active. 15. If you happen to have multiple Neon Gyze in your G zone, the amount of Zeroths you bind will remain at 1 per trigger checked. Having multiple Neon Gyze in your G zone will not increase the rate of Zeroths bound. 16. When you Ultimate Stride Gyze, your GB counter stays at 1. 17. Since Ultimate Striding Gyze removes all cards from your field, heart, and soul, if you happen to Ultimate Stride Gyze on top of "Dragfall, Luard", Luard will not activate, as he was removed from game. 18. Despite all units called by Gyze G4 and Gyze himself being unable to be affected by card abilities (aside from Gyze and your guardians), they can still be chosen by card effects. 19. If you check a trigger while Gyze G4 is on your (VC), you cannot give your any of your units the Power, Crit, or Stand. You may still draw and heal (if able to). 20. Gyze G4 cannot be deleted. Subsequently, your Zeroths cannot be retired, locked, dominated, bound, bounced, put into the soul, botdecked, etc. 21. If an effect like from "Supreme Heavenly Emperor Dragon, Dragonic Overlord "The Purge"" would choose to deal damage to Gyze G4, the damage will not be dealt. 22. if an effect like from "Dragonic Kaiser Vermillion" would attack multiple targets, your Zeroths still cannot be attacked. 23. If "Zeroth Dragon of Inferno, Drachma" was used against Gyze G4, none of your units would be retired, but you also cannot choose a card from your hand to ride with. You still have to discard cards, however. 24. "Zeroth Dragon of End of the World, Dust" will not cancel Gyze G4's abilities, and all of your units grade and [Power] will not change. 25. If "Lawless Mutant Diety, Obtirandus" was used before Gyze G4 was Ultimate Stridden, Gyze cannot call Zeroths from the bind zone. The same applies if "Evil Governor, Darkface Gredora"'s skill was used. 26. As "Death Star-vader, Chaos Breaker Deluge" calls cards from the opponent's hand as locked, Deluge will be able to force the opponent to call over a Zeroth, because Deluge chooses the circle, and not the unit. Then, due to rule actions, the Zeroth will be retired, and since it's no longer a unit (and thus out of Gyze's protection), it will return to the G zone face up. 27. Since Gyze G4 only protects your units, and not you as a fighter, effects like "Slient Tom" and other guard prevention skills will still be active. -----GUARDIAN-BASED INFO----- 28. Perfect Guard effects will still work on Gyze. 29. If you use "Extreme Battler, Headstrong-battle" and give the ability to one of your Zeroths, you can move that Zeroth to (GC), since your guardian's effects are not blocked by Gyze. 30. Guardian-based "Rescue" effects such as "Black Mixer, Hiniel" and "Doctroid Remnon" will still activate, however you cannot give any of your units the effects of a trigger if you checked one due to the Rescue check. 31. If "Lizard Soldier, Bellog" was used as a guardian during the battle that Gyze G4 was attacked, Bellog can give its skill to Gyze. 32. If "Taboo Star-vader, Rubidium" was used as a guardian during the battle that Gyze G4 attacked a vanguard with "Star-vader, "Omega" Glendios" in its card name, Rubidium will be able to redirect Gyze's attack. -Vere
How the final battle of the anime will go: - First time Gyze skill pushes Chrono to 5 damage. - Chrono goes into Heritage. - Gyze taunts Chrono that his defeat is assured after his Heritage turn was completely blocked. - Chrono spouts something about friendship and reveals Heritage's skill making it his turn once more. - Gyze: "SONA BAKANAI?!"

Just make sure to run og grade 3 gancelot and use his skill for major early game pressure. Lol, they'll try so hard to rush you that unless they have a perfect guard they won't be able to stop a 26,000 triple crit grade 3 gancelot. Lol, plus there's no way you aren't getting to 4 damage by the time you hit grade 3.
correct me if i'm wrong but aren't trigger effects pointless since gyze says,"All of your units do not return to your G zone and are unaffected by any influence other than this card and your guardians". So i'm pretty sure triggers won't boost either his power, crit, or even allow your zeroth dragons to restand.
what is the card you said that counters gyze ? i couldnt quite hear it properly :( (the optiranus i think you said) tried searching for the card since it was my first time hearing the name and nothing came up
True my friend :) but the power creep is becaming real in this game, they need a way to balance out all the powerfull cards we have gotten this last few months and now we have gyze. I am mean ofcourse I think that the banlist is what has gotten Yugi in the state that it is in, but now with this I can't really see an other way out. I am playing Gears and even I thought that Visor is somewhat ban worthy if it is going to hinder the evolution of Gears as a whole. In my eyes Gyze seems like that for generaly every clan in the game maybe they are going to say that Gyze can not be played in regionals or something, but I still see problems for the shop tournament scape. We will have to see ofcourse, maybe it is not as bad as we think bushi is know for testing cards before releasing them so it might actually not be that bad. Also as a side note I think that gyze would have been way more balanced if he didn't also protect the Zeroth Dragons for attacks at least then a player could hope to attack the rears in hope of survival, but the way he is now he kind of isn't. Lastly if I am not mistaken you can stride Gyze on your opponents turn making this an auto win essentialy in the right moment which could actually come up quite often.
I'm a Tachikaze Player. What about Gaia Devastate? He targets the circles, not the units themselves. From what I'm hearing (maybe I missed something), all we have to do is to target the circles the Zeroth Dragons are on and we can start to see a comeback. It'll still be hard, but possible.
No, because the effect still makes reference to a card on the circle. It has to ONLY specify circles as part of the effect, like Deluge, otherwise no dice
I think I can beat a gyze deck with my maelstrom deck. Within that one turn opening so could use engulf maelstrom and attack with it having a guard restrict of all guards of all grade.
If you can get Ultima on the field, stack a stand and a critical trigger and then attack using your rear guards attack with Ultima and then restand your rear guards with the extra 10000 plus the extra boost and you could probably beat Gyze! Though thats if you can get Ultima on the field and you still have crits and stands left in your deck by that time
Yeah Stark is a good reply to Gyze as well. Dracma is useless in defeating Gyze, Dusk isnt much better since Gyze negates card effects which makes Dusk's skill useless except for that one damage it deals. Megiddo does alright but is still not your best option. Finally Zoa does pretty well with its one turn kill rear guard. So i would say that in terms of beating Gyze from best to worst its 1.Ultima and Stark, 2.Zoa, 3.Dusk and Megiddo, and 4. Dracma
Dust can't even deal one damage, because Gyze can't be chosen for that effect. So it's even more worthless than Drachma, which at least discards two cards.
Well since Neon Gyze changes the trigger power increase you can just guard 5k no pass on early game. By that logic if you can defend to 0 damage until gyze comes, gyze needs 2 turns to actually kill you (i know it sounds dumb to guard everything but there's that)
Im curious about something, if I go into Gyze and on my opponents next turn they go into Gyze, on my following turn do i deal them x damage or are they safe from it?
Kevin Loon no, gyze is outright immune and the zeroths cannot be retired. So there is no out. The only way to stop him is with something like deluge, as it influences the player, not the units.
I think Messiahs can get around this easily. Since they can't G guard, Harmonics will just hurt. Plus the rears will get the 5k power from being unlocked. Making them able to hit vg (Lady Fencer).
I'm sorry but my opinion completely differs from yours 1. You can play around the gyze requirement (no pwr boost from triggers, both player needs to be at grade 3) meaning rush and grade-stucking is a very solid counterplay 2. The deck doesnt require sacking that much. Triggers are bound to be checked. But with no power boost makes them sacking trigger not that bad for us 3. Gyze player will probably play a stall/control clan since their plan is to survive our rush attacks. These of course just theory. The card itself is not broken, definitely not a cancer deck. Since can be counterplayed so much just simply by rushing then to death and NOT riding into grade 3
1) both players do not have to be at grade 3 though...? 2) triggers are bound to be checked but some people see 5 checks before first stride... It's 100% RNG. See 5 triggers? EZ win. See no triggers? lose. It's not about whether or not it's too strong. I don't think it is. It's about the fact that the whole mechanic relies on VARIANCE.
Solemn Vanguard ah right i read wrong sorry lol Only gyze player need to be at grade 3 #readingishard No pwr boost still a huge deal though. Rushing them before gb. No wonder almost all clan get a non gb unit. (Golsachi for my victor) As for RNG, yeah ur right since no grd 3 restriction Hope bushi makes this grd 3 restriction so it'll be less luck-dependent
[CONT](VC):You cannot ride and call rear-guards other than . *All of your units do not return to your G zone and are unaffected to any influence other than this card and your guardians.* Your rear-guards cannot be attacked. No, you can't.
SO basically if you go second and Lucky Enough to hit a Trigger For your Damage Checks and Trigger Checks you can honestly GYZE Stride on First Stide That Insane
Actually cards like the Purge don't work because the Purge needs to choose the Vanguard. Gyze doesn't, so in the mirror, it's whoever dropped Gyze FIRST who wins because I think it would still work then. Unless it's ruled otherwise or something.
So Touken Ranbu Gyze Meta works. All you need to do is have Gyze Starter and 4 of Tsurumaru Kuninaga Toku. First 2 strides are free as long as your grade 3's don't get retired/locked/sealed off
Thats why ren has gone missing. No episode of him fighting any of the apostles, really dissapointing. Hoping to watch he fight with noa though. Oh well~
RazorTH Yeah with rhino managarm combo gyze can't do anything since he can't g guard with the g zone removed on stride...and zoa is the third best zeroth aganstt gyze too so I could gn would be able to handle gyze really well and they could early rush with ocelot....
[CONT](VC):You cannot ride and call rear-guards other than . *All of your units do not return to your G zone and are unaffected to any influence other than this card and your guardians.* Your rear-guards cannot be attacked. So nope, you cant.
Christopher Matthew if gyze becomes meta, luard will surely follow, if not purely as antimeta (diablo says hello), as a possible base for the gyze deck.
Not scary at all. The fact that you lose the power effect of triggers makes it easier to fight against. Gguard that are a 20k shield will stop stride attacks that aren't pumped up. The lack of power gain earlier on will hurt gyze decks in my opinion
Signerdragon123 gyze has a different ultimate stride cost. He only needs 5 zeroth dragons on the bind zone to ultimate stride. If you look at the zeroth dragon costs it is clearly stated that they need to be gb3. Not gyze
pinoyboycyrus - also there is batsis, magus, blasters, murakumo and other clans that have restanding vanguards or plus checks that is too spammable for gyze
Every TCG has always been luck-based. Remember that trigger checks make you go through the deck faster which actually decreases variance as well. This is something MTG/YGO do not have. There's no reason to be so cynical ;D
still gonna be expensive since you're not guaranteed which of the Zeroth reprint your're getting so the supply/demand will still determine the price, which knowing how vanguard prices reprints, will still be expensive.
True but it at least give you another chance to get them and who knows they might fix it where it might be a little easy to get them if they want us to play them
Solemn Vanguard yeah I'm hoping not. Guess we all just have to wait and find out. This does make me even more interested in what the new mechanic is and how its going to affect the game
YorHaTomata is right, The only way to counter Diablo is to 1. Don’t use Gyze XD 2. Guard so early that you are at 3 or less damage (But why would you do that?) 3. Miracle HEAL
@@blastergamer1012 No, that was the point. Phantom Blaster Diablo's effect is "(VC):When it attacks a vanguard, COST [choose three of your rear-guards, and retire them], and your opponent may choose two of his or her rear-guards, and retire them. If two rear-guards were not retired, your opponent cannot call cards from hand to (GC) until end of that battle."." Gyze's skill keeps your units from being affected by anything other than Gyze and your guardians, which means you can't retire two RGs even if you wanted to because your RGs are immune to PBD's skill. This makes PBD's attack completely unguardable since the Gyze player can't guard from hand, and doesn't have any g guards.
Only the power part works. You still can stand/add crit/draw/heal. Although you can't apply the effects of stand and crit after you have stridden Gyze.
I think any aqua force deck is going to destroy a Gyze deck. Simply having 1 Tidal is guaranteed multiple damage or multiple cards out of their hand. You could hard mulligan for multiple tidals or in other variants cases, foivos' and tidals, tidals and rascal, etc. Might be to the point that any Gyze focused deck simply must run a ton of 10k bases to give themselves a chance. Either way the deck seems neat and certainly there will be a ton of different builds for it, but I do agree it seems weird for them to make a card like Gyze now, given their past track record.

-----SPECIFICS-----
10. Neon Gyze is a normal unit, even in the G zone, and will not count towards the GB counter.
11. Neon Gyze will count, however, when a card has an effect that counts the number of face up cards in the G zone. For example, "Abominable One, Gilles de Rais"'s skill states:
"If the number of face up cards in your G zone is two or more, this unit gets [Critical]+1 until end of turn."
Neon Gyze will count in this instance.
-----GUARDIAN-BASED INFO-----

How the final battle of the anime will go:
- First time Gyze skill pushes Chrono to 5 damage.
Nailed it!
Gyze: WTF?! And Chrono triple crits him.
Yes main character
FAQ on Gyze:
-----GENERAL INFO-----
(As we guessed, Gyze not having the + at the end of the 30000 actually wasn't a typo, so he's a flat 30k since there is no heart)
5. When you Ultimate Stride Gyze, call five bound Zeroths to (RC). At the beginning of your next turn, deal 1 damage to your opponent for each Zeroth on (RC) you have.
6. If you run Gyze, you may include Zeroths from all nations.
7. Neon Gyze doesn't have to be your first Vanguard, but you must ride it eventually to use its skill.

tears falling Think you for posting this here.
so besides Megacolony and Link Joker, nothing else can really stop the zeroth dragon rear guards
Yusei255 No you can’t
Blasters gyze op
Champ!!
4 Gancelot, 5 Zeroth Dragon,Gyze and G Guards
With the amount of luck you have, with gyze its an inevitable win.
Just make sure to run og grade 3 gancelot and use his skill for major early game pressure. Lol, they'll try so hard to rush you that unless they have a perfect guard they won't be able to stop a 26,000 triple crit grade 3 gancelot. Lol, plus there's no way you aren't getting to 4 damage by the time you hit grade 3.
congratz on the win, boi lol lets see that blaster gyze play and have everyone do another double take
Diablo, 36k with effect. They can't retire their zeroths, can't g-guard as g-zone is removed. Easy counter 😁
I know i am 2 years late but EVERYONE FORGOT GYZE'S SKILL THAT IT ALL UNITS CANNOT BE AFFECTED BY SKILLS
This is our darkest hour
Are Bushiroad hinting us about the new mechanic which is double-sided cards?
probably
Jester Braulio it would be a cool idea actually. Starters that become their future selves. Maybe gyze is the testing bench for next series's mechanic
Omg probably
I would LOVE that.
I'm cool with it... as long as we veer away from the G Zone as a whole for a while.
I now can see why Heritage exists. To give you more turns against a Gyze Vanguard.
one question can you use Cold Death to lock over Zeroth Dragons like deluge?
This is very important to me do you know what time is the spring fest 2018 in Chicago Rosemont please answer me as soon as possible thank you
How can gear chronicle and aqua force beat gyze?
correct me if i'm wrong but aren't trigger effects pointless since gyze says,"All of your units do not return to your G zone and are unaffected by any influence other than this card and your guardians". So i'm pretty sure triggers won't boost either his power, crit, or even allow your zeroth dragons to restand.
I have a question
Can the player him/herself retire the zeroths on the rear guards?
Actually a Double Gyze match would end in who decks out first, since you can't use trigger effects on your cards after Gyze is on the field.
On this note can I interest anyone in a Liberator deck with nothing but Grade 0s and 1s in it?
Because it might help.
Just sayin'.
So the back row zeroth dragons cant attack or boost right, just confirming.
what is the card you said that counters gyze ? i couldnt quite hear it properly :( (the optiranus i think you said) tried searching for the card since it was my first time hearing the name and nothing came up
Minerva Regalia Obtirandis. Megacolony GR stride that completely stop enemy from calling, and superior calling units.
thanks :D
What if you omega blast with stil vampir? Where does gyze go?
The first Yu-Gi-Oh! like banlist for Vanguard IS COMING!!!
maniatis450 Hell no, thats the big problem of Yugi
Since gyze is a Cray elemental, what deck would people mostly play him in
I'm a Tachikaze Player.
LichLordFortissimo Thanks a lot for that.
Though thats if you can get Ultima on the field and you still have crits and stands left in your deck by that time
Shark-King-101 Probably the next best option for defeating Gyze is Stark.
Dracma
Can gyze be ridden?
If I'm right it can be only stidden
Dust can't even deal one damage, because Gyze can't be chosen for that effect. So it's even more worthless than Drachma, which at least discards two cards.
3:47 "Angel feather has rescued chicks" and 3:53 "battle sister sex addict as well". Hahahaha wtf
Alpha Omega Nice one
Well since Neon Gyze changes the trigger power increase you can just guard 5k no pass on early game. By that logic if you can defend to 0 damage until gyze comes, gyze needs 2 turns to actually kill you (i know it sounds dumb to guard everything but there's that)
You can still g-guard right even if you go into gyze?
Black Soear i think yes because it states that both players has to be on a grade 3 or greater vg
No because to ultimate stride gyze, you have to exclude all your field including g zone but not damage zone, deck and drop zone
Ur my favorite TH-camr tbh
you mentioned a card that could counter gyze, what was it again? opt-tyrandus?
Wayne _Dago Lawless Mutant Deity, Obtirandus
thanks!
You can use Obtirandus
Im curious about something, if I go into Gyze and on my opponents next turn they go into Gyze, on my following turn do i deal them x damage or are they safe from it?
Pokemon Master Roxas both of you are safe
One thing Gyze brings to the table is the fact that EVERY deck CAN play ANY Zeroth Dragon now and that could be super interesting.
No. They can run them in the G zone but they can't stride them.
Does Drachma work against Gyze? It retires the whole board so... Maybe?
Kevin Loon no, gyze is outright immune and the zeroths cannot be retired. So there is no out. The only way to stop him is with something like deluge, as it influences the player, not the units.
I think Messiahs can get around this easily.
Since they can't G guard, Harmonics will just hurt. Plus the rears will get the 5k power from being unlocked. Making them able to hit vg (Lady Fencer).
I'm sorry but my opinion completely differs from yours
1. You can play around the gyze requirement (no pwr boost from triggers, both player needs to be at grade 3) meaning rush and grade-stucking is a very solid counterplay
2. The deck doesnt require sacking that much. Triggers are bound to be checked. But with no power boost makes them sacking trigger not that bad for us
Solemn Vanguard ah right i read wrong sorry lol
Only gyze player need to be at grade 3 #readingishard
No pwr boost still a huge deal though. Rushing them before gb. No wonder almost all clan get a non gb unit. (Golsachi for my victor)
As for RNG, yeah ur right since no grd 3 restriction
Hope bushi makes this grd 3 restriction so it'll be less luck-dependent
A question can u bind the zeroth Dragons on the field?
[CONT](VC):You cannot ride and call rear-guards other than . *All of your units do not return to your G zone and are unaffected to any influence other than this card and your guardians.* Your rear-guards cannot be attacked.
No, you can't.
Ralfington thanks
Unless you target the circle they're on
SO basically if you go second and Lucky Enough to hit a Trigger For your Damage Checks and Trigger Checks you can honestly GYZE Stride on First Stide That Insane
if i would ask on which clan is playeble gyze on spesific or all?
jonas ivanauskas all
Actually cards like the Purge don't work because the Purge needs to choose the Vanguard. Gyze doesn't, so in the mirror, it's whoever dropped Gyze FIRST who wins because I think it would still work then.
Unless it's ruled otherwise or something.
Nouvelle vague L express???
I know i am 2 years late but EVERYONE FORGOT GYZE'S SKILL THAT IT ALL UNITS CANNOT BE AFFECTED BY SKILLS
Phantom Blaster Diablo says hi
Trigger Happy Paladin Oh Messiah no, please don’t bring that card back.
Liberator of Knightly Oath, Zildon Knight Too late!!!
Gyze cannot be efected by card effects so no guard restricts right??..
Oh wait i was wrong, the effect states that the player cannot guard from hand, so it is directed to the player.
I think its already game over when he dealt 5 damage unless you very lucky and sack heal
Dungaree gyze deck profile
FlashMakesStudios Gaming•AndMore! -such power does not belong in the hands of mortal men. Who among us could possibly be worthy enough?
So Touken Ranbu Gyze Meta works. All you need to do is have Gyze Starter and 4 of Tsurumaru Kuninaga Toku. First 2 strides are free as long as your grade 3's don't get retired/locked/sealed off
Please explain you caught my interest
Phantom blaster diablo so gonna have fun with this XD
In other words, the good guys in the anime could have just sent in Ren to deal with Gyze.
Thats why ren has gone missing. No episode of him fighting any of the apostles, really dissapointing. Hoping to watch he fight with noa though. Oh well~
I know i am 2 years late but EVERYONE FORGOT GYZE'S SKILL THAT IT ALL UNITS CANNOT BE AFFECTED BY SKILLS
@@blastergamer1012 Ok
All Zeroth dragons are unaffected by card effects
You can use deluge because it is not a call
I know i am 2 years late but EVERYONE FORGOT GYZE'S SKILL THAT IT ALL UNITS CANNOT BE AFFECTED BY SKILLS
If I'm up against gyze I hope I can use my managarmr and rhyno setup, even if it's 31k attack he has to defend with g guardian
RazorTH Yeah with rhino managarm combo gyze can't do anything since he can't g guard with the g zone removed on stride...and zoa is the third best zeroth aganstt gyze too so I could gn would be able to handle gyze really well and they could early rush with ocelot....
I actually forgot that he removes everything, so attacks from rhino are sure hits, good to know
Oh my God I didnt think you would actually make a video that's awesome!!! XD I'm speechless!!!
Battle sisters, stollen stack then go into gyze
Luckily it does get criticals and neon's skill doesnt allow for power gain, meaning guard one to pass every time
Don't worry everyone, this is why Bushi gave Gear Chronicle fucking chronoviser
Another fun counter is Phantom Blaster Diablo. Gyze can’t guard it since they have no G Guards
but cant i just Drachma gyze? since he is unaffected by his effects
no never mind english is hard
i think youre gonna update your thoughts few days later
Nope. It's still a mehh card that's unhealthy for the game because it's totally reliant on rng...
No defences trigger huh,so its gonna be weak against multi-attack rush deck and deletor
Hindsight: It was dumb to release Gyze right before a format rotation. No one at my locals bothered to even try to build Gyze.
how can you call 2 locked cards gyze skill clearly say you cannot call rearguards except zeroth dragons
Can u lock the zeroth dragons? And can u delete gyze? Cause if u can *oh boy*
Superchaosnova I’m sorry to burst your bubble but you cannot. Sorry.
[CONT](VC):You cannot ride and call rear-guards other than . *All of your units do not return to your G zone and are unaffected to any influence other than this card and your guardians.* Your rear-guards cannot be attacked.
So nope, you cant.
Ralph Dalangin ok this card is *broken!*
it really isn't tho. there's a HUGE amount of counter to use against it. it's still pretty underwhelming.
If it targets the circle you can
Gyze the Exodia of vanguard.
When is luard going to be relevant again?
Christopher Matthew if gyze becomes meta, luard will surely follow, if not purely as antimeta (diablo says hello), as a possible base for the gyze deck.
Not scary at all. The fact that you lose the power effect of triggers makes it easier to fight against. Gguard that are a 20k shield will stop stride attacks that aren't pumped up. The lack of power gain earlier on will hurt gyze decks in my opinion
Thinking that gyze will have the erata like dust
The good part is zeroths cant boost or attack from the back row.
But triggers loses their 5k effect so rushing them would work. I'd say only decks made to outlast the opp should play this card (Luard)
This may sound like a stupid question, but can you Dominate the Zeroth Dragon rearguards?
Nope. No effects work on them
Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.
Well i feel that it is overturing the vanguard a little bit
you have to drive check to get it only way
Damn it that mean my RP aka Royal paladin deck is useless. But i think there a way to beat it.
Um... you can't Ultimate Stride on GB0 or GB1... even with Neon Gyze's skill.
Signerdragon123 gyze has a different ultimate stride cost. He only needs 5 zeroth dragons on the bind zone to ultimate stride. If you look at the zeroth dragon costs it is clearly stated that they need to be gb3. Not gyze
Superior Ultimate Stride; Gyze doesn't require the normal stride/ultimate stride ruling
What if now link jokers get cards to prevent triggers lmao
Angel Feather Rescue Checks :D
pinoyboycyrus - also there is batsis, magus, blasters, murakumo and other clans that have restanding vanguards or plus checks that is too spammable for gyze
I can already hear obtirandus jumping in price again just because you said that.
too late, a lot of them are getting marked at $100 a piece now lol
I don’t know vanguard has always been super luck based, this just makes it more obvious to see.
Every TCG has always been luck-based. Remember that trigger checks make you go through the deck faster which actually decreases variance as well. This is something MTG/YGO do not have.
There's no reason to be so cynical ;D
Can gyze being delete?
Andrew Averil no it is unaffected by effects
Time to pull out the revelation deck boiiis
You know they reprinting the ZR dragons in that set as RRR
still gonna be expensive since you're not guaranteed which of the Zeroth reprint your're getting so the supply/demand will still determine the price, which knowing how vanguard prices reprints, will still be expensive.
True but it at least give you another chance to get them and who knows they might fix it where it might be a little easy to get them if they want us to play them
can't you dust him?
No
No. Plus, Dust is errata'd to 5 dmg.
Well,Vanguard is broken now.....
This is why chronovisor is op
Gyze is really "overturning the sense of vanguard" am I right?
Oracle Think Tank/Angel Feather Gyze OP
If Gyze becomes Tier 0.. ah man
It likely won't unless some hilarious loophole is found
Solemn Vanguard yeah I'm hoping not. Guess we all just have to wait and find out. This does make me even more interested in what the new mechanic is and how its going to affect the game
No cheap tricks*
Phantom Blaster says hi
Sorry but 30k life gyze plus gguard can survive it
Mark Dejesus And how will you g guard when your gzone has been excluded?
YorHaTomata is right, The only way to counter Diablo is to
1. Don’t use Gyze XD
2. Guard so early that you are at 3 or less damage (But why would you do that?)
3. Miracle HEAL
I know i am 2 years late but EVERYONE FORGOT GYZE'S SKILL THAT IT ALL UNITS CANNOT BE AFFECTED BY SKILLS
@@blastergamer1012 No, that was the point. Phantom Blaster Diablo's effect is "(VC):When it attacks a vanguard, COST [choose three of your rear-guards, and retire them], and your opponent may choose two of his or her rear-guards, and retire them. If two rear-guards were not retired, your opponent cannot call cards from hand to (GC) until end of that battle."."
Gyze's skill keeps your units from being affected by anything other than Gyze and your guardians, which means you can't retire two RGs even if you wanted to because your RGs are immune to PBD's skill. This makes PBD's attack completely unguardable since the Gyze player can't guard from hand, and doesn't have any g guards.
One word, D-I-A-B-L-O
I know i am 2 years late but EVERYONE FORGOT GYZE'S SKILL THAT IT ALL UNITS CANNOT BE AFFECTED BY SKILLS
So basically you have one turn to beat him.
2 turns if you can manage to stay 0 damage until they get to Gyze
Eeehh defensive triggers do not work, because of the starter
NONE of the triggers work lol
Only the power part works. You still can stand/add crit/draw/heal. Although you can't apply the effects of stand and crit after you have stridden Gyze.
true, but no defensive power which is super important
Next gen we will see Alter Ego Gyze lol
good job serieux
But won't we need 5 zeroth dragons in our g zone
you mean your credit card on ur g-zone?
Heritage is a possible counter to Gyze
How
Heritage FTW
So the bring a card the can fuck the meta up nice.
Maybe this is the only solution. Do not put grade 3
No. Only the Gyze player needs to be at grade 3. They can gyze you even if you're at 2.
Don’t Ride G3 so he can’t stride
I swear to god if this card breaks the game, i’m quitting.
It won't; the card has so much holes that countering it is actually easy.
Gyze can be very unhealthy for the game. I wonder if they will give Gyze an expiration date like they did with Epitome of Knowledge, Silvest.
Obtirandus is the answer.
inb4 250$ dust.
Forget Gyze. Maelstrom has to become relevant
it's been relevant since the latest support; even gaining top 8 in most states meta.
Now I know I just suck
I think any aqua force deck is going to destroy a Gyze deck. Simply having 1 Tidal is guaranteed multiple damage or multiple cards out of their hand. You could hard mulligan for multiple tidals or in other variants cases, foivos' and tidals, tidals and rascal, etc. Might be to the point that any Gyze focused deck simply must run a ton of 10k bases to give themselves a chance. Either way the deck seems neat and certainly there will be a ton of different builds for it, but I do agree it seems weird for them to make a card like Gyze now, given their past track record.

FAQ on Gyze:
-----GENERAL INFO-----
-----GUARDIAN-BASED INFO-----
