For people that stumbled upon this video trying to remove their Chrome door handle covers that's applied with 3M tape my solution was a hair dryer or a heat gun to loosen the m3 tape underneath and it pops right off thank me by leaving a thumbs up

Great video, very helpful. Any issues with painting over the chrome after prepping it? I'm not sure if that's actually real chrome or not but I want to have this done on my 2022 after it's built.
Where can I buy just the chrome clip on handles? I have the textured black and want to swap out so I can cover them with 3m gloss black covers.

Can you get the handles in satin black?
Can you tell me where to purchase new replacement handles? Just the cover piece that you are removing in this video to have painted. The only ones I can find online are covers that go over the factory handle and stick on with 3m tape. But my handle on one side broke 4 wheeling.

Can the mirror caps be removed as well?
Yes, its fairly easy to pop them off. You pop off the mirror and that gives you access to the 4 tabs that hold it. If you are replacing the caps with new ones you can just pop the top 2 tabs off without removing the mirror. It will snap the bottom tabs off but if you're not re-using them its not a big deal.

Quick question, What was the process for painting the chrome? i have called places and they say they don't paint chrome? also how is the paint holding up?
I’ve been calling it around and they say the same thing...I keep telling them it’s plastic but they seem to don’t care. I know bumpers and stuff are actual chrome. I assume these plastic pieces can be treated just that. Would love more info!
