When you apply the cool care on any clip or hold the clipper down! The reason for this is so that the cool clear fluid doesn’t flow back into the clipper. Very important!
Hey brother any books or sites that teach everything about barber? Like point cutting, texture, graduations etc.. I want to know all the terms and later watch videos base on the terms that exist.. I don’t want to miss anything
Super important video and usually underrated here on TH-cam... It's easy to get caught up in watching fades and ignoring the rest, but being clean, having good scissor and comb positions, knowing what your tools are capable of are just as necessary
Thumbs up to this video!!!. I am a barber 17yrs now and I clean my machines the same way. Clients do look at such things. Thanks for the tip on holding the scissors. Blessings
Buy compressed air cans to remove hair from the shavers its more effective. And spray the blades and the foils let them sit fir 10 min and its ready to go. If you don't wait 10 min its not clean.
We got compressed air in my shop.. it makes cleaning alot easier and u dont have to worry about brushes or cleaning them after a while, wiping ur machines with a brush destroys the brush in a couple weeks,, compressed air the way to go.
I find using a toothbrush to clean my shaver and clippers I find it gets the hair really well and get all the little bits. Cheerr from Bayside Barbers Australia 🇦🇺💇🏻♂️💈✂️
How do you disinfect your brushes? If you’re brushing hair off the tools during the cut, you technically should disinfect that brush before using it on another client. Having 2 separate brushes (1 for head, 1 for machine) for each client is probably best, right?
From my understanding, because the brush is so porous, it won’t disinfect properly. Which is why I’m really strict barbershops, I.E, military bases, they won’t allow you to use a neck duster because it’s an item that cannot be disinfected with something like Cool Care or similar products.
If you use plastic brushes with plastic bristles you can drop them in a solution or spray them with something like cool care. You can spray brushes that boar bristles as well just don’t dip them in a solution or you run them. I think most barbers definitely use different brushes for different tasks but that’s up to you to figure out what you like for what task.
Instead of pushing the blade directly into the straight razor holder. You can remove another side of the straight razor to place the blade on it safely.
This are some real useful information brother … Im watching many videos and taking notes.. I want to learn fast.. let me know if there’s some books that teach everything they teach in barber school or something.. I like this video because you actually give good information not like the others TH-camrs ❤❤❤
This is BRILLIANT! I flip my shears the way you do, funny I don't know how I started doing this, it just happened. New year's resolution is to get better, gain more clients, make more money. Somewhere in there, a more definitive goal might emerge; hasn't yet after 30+ years, never say "never". Happy New Year and lookin forward to more from you, thank you for ALL your great vids.
I.like your suggestion about putting the blade in the handle with one side highet then the other. I think this would.make somethings easier for me looking forward to trying out
Its so funny, i just got a WAHL Shaver Shaper for Xmas and i heard 50/50 that people said theirs were garbage and that the foils broke A LOT and to buy the Andis one....but so far I'm liking my Wahl one. It hasnt broke....yet....but i am gentle with it like its meant to be used/handled so I'm sure they'll go far
I wouldn’t say they are garbage but the foils aren’t as good as you can find with Andis or Babyliss. At the end of the day it’s all about preference and what might work for me, it might not work for the next person and it’s always going to be like that. Thank you for sharing with us
@@DavidFalla Ya so far I have no issues with it....(and hey I actually read the user manual lol). I will try the Andis or Babyliss one wenever the current Wahl S.S. craps out. And question, do u need to oil the cutter bars specifically? Or will that 5in1 Cool Care do it justice? (Because that is what i have, and use, after every time i use it and clean it.) Thank you for your response David
My issue is feeling comfortable staying in my barber . I just hate wait for walkin. Right, I'm not working in the barber shop. I'm just working outta my apartment for now..I want to learn new treats and skills to become a great barber and improve my skills..any advice??
Thanks for the tips brother but I personally would rather palm the shears that way I don't swing them around and hit my customer in the head lol but thats just me.
This technique has been around for around 30yrs...I taught my apprentices how to do it....they loved knowing how and really enjoyed teaching it to others......however I don’t do it as I have my own way that is comfortable for me....always go with what is comfortable for you.....I have seen really flashy scissor tricks but it did not relate to good cutting.....
Great video! So may a suggest clearing off hair from your shaver with a soft ( old) hair color brush, the longer bristles get into the crevices a lot better even in the foil side and then spray them clean
The shear trick is cool but IDK if it's OK to do in stateboard. They want to see the palm technique the shear trick seems uncomfortable and could be harmful over the years.
Subscribed. Great content I'm actually thinking about becoming a barber myself so a beginners video like this will help me for the future. Thanks very much 👍🏼
Thank you, im still learning from home how to be a better barber and i really did receive and learn some good things from the video you shared. I want to bring in the money by the end of 2020 to the table for my education to go to school for my license! I've been sleeping on it and i should've been already in the game.

kenneth vick can you repeat that quickly pls?
Also apply the cool care with the blades running and then if possible spray it down with air to dry it or use a clean towel.
Hey brother any books or sites that teach everything about barber? Like point cutting, texture, graduations etc.. I want to know all the terms and later watch videos base on the terms that exist.. I don’t want to miss anything
Good reminder of all common stuff that we all should already know and be practicing , good job
Thanks and it’s always good to remind ourself of the everything things
Thanks for all your time and dedication for all of us! It helps a lot on my barber journey blessings!!!

Thanks brother I is used it 😊 thanks

LoL @ 2:58 . Mid sentence you're like "...i think i'm gettin sick actually" and scene cut lol, that was funny to me for some reason
🤣🤣🤣🤣

That’s a good advantage for sure, but not all barbershops share the look or theme to have air compressors.
Thanks again for the tips David! Great content as always.

Hey so I use a UV sterilizer for brushes, combs and things like that. I use one brush to clean the machines and a different on to clean my clippers.

You are 100% correct. I just Ike doing it this way and I never had a problem
@@DavidFalla Ok cool, but what about the amateurs. I still think that you should show folks the safest way to get the job done.
A tip for cleaning your shaver you can use a small paint brush it works perfect for cleaning the shaver the bristles are perfect for this.
I want to hire David to read me bedtime stories.
GREAT CONTENT!

Hi, journyman amaizing tutorial,,, what a clarification ❤️...
The shear trick is cool but IDK if it's OK to do in stateboard. They want to see the palm technique the shear trick seems uncomfortable and could be harmful over the years.

He didn't say nothing special for professional barbers. Just follow instructions or use common sense
I cringed at 6:27 mark. That’s how you dull the hell out of your shaver.
