Solstafir is not so bad in this regard, but still, they have by now released a couple albums ranging from the old school viking/black metal stuff to the new wave and rain rock music.

Drummer is the most important person in this band. He plays like a cosmic background radiation. In my opinion.. It makes this band. Singer and drummer speaks to each other.Havent found this from later performances.

I'm not saying I'm taking sides nor that I know everything that went down on all fronts, but it's heartbreaking to hear what happened to Oli. He was the biggest reason I got into the band and now it's just weird listening to them after all the shit that went down. Sucks man...

I first heard these guys a few years ago after watching Valhalla Rising and was completely entranced by their music from Djakninn in the suggested options, which completely encompssed the whole feel of the film, from the beautiful synchonicity that the uploader provided by putting that track to cut-scenes from the film....... For me personally, it was a transcendental experience, one with which I connected with at a root/primal level and an experience that I equate with my first psychedelic experience of Acid in which I encountered Choronzon-The Guardian of The Abyss, and YES I survived in-tact, only just, I'm still clinging/grasping at reality even now. The Fact that Solstafir are no longer is as painful as the fact that FotN(original line-up) are no longer !!! regards & respect Damien, Paz

2019 and I'm still here. Amazing band! Sigur Ros is another Icelandic band with another style, but incredible too.
I regularly get back to this performance, it has a special feel to it. To be honest I think Gummi was a core member of the band... missing him.
