On my way back from Jotunheimen nasjonalpark, I chose to travel through Sogndal skysstasjon to see Sognefjord for the first time. Not only because of its natural beauty, but also of Sognametal, a concept I learned ca. 12 years ago, of course, from Windir, and you, Vreid, and Mistur. Approaching the settlement, I realized I had seen that radio tower on the top of the mountain ahead before. I remembered a longer performance on TH-cam split by two bands. Of course, it was this video I saw before and which I have just watched again. Greetings from a Hungarian staying now in Sweden. (And I hope I will visit Iceland, too, in the future.)
Sólstafir is awesome! Discovered them when they opened for Swallow the sun, in 2011 or 2012 I guess, Zaandam, the Netherlands. Didn't quite know what to make of it....maybe I was a bit overwhelmed. At home I started to seek them out on TH-cam and it all clicked....awesome band. Seen them live some 3 times after that, with my son, who also got into them. Vreid is a band whose name I know and definitely need to pay more attention to.....will do!
se, that dude aint playing a Marshall amp, Marshalls aint for metal. imo. Unless u wanna try using a boost , Peavey, Randall & a few others are far better choices for metal.

Solstafir really shouldn't be using the name Solstafir anymore. After they kicked out their drummer/co-founder in a most disrespectful way
