1) thank you, I really really wanted to learn Vibrato 2) I put up the subtitles..... Vibrato turns into: -For brother -Vebrato -the brought it -I'm the writer - the broader -the bronzer - the browser - too little brother - the bra Votto - For brought Oh -Some Bronco etc....
+Lorienel cruz Then keep at it. Vibrato is hard and really not as easy as some people might think. Just concentrate on rolling only the fingertip as that might help and just let everything else work naturally. Dont try and make the wrist move, only roll the tip of the finger.
My private teacher stated that first to just move fingers up and down and move your whole hand up the fingerboard. Then practice in third or 4th position so your elbow won't move, just your wrist. Always start your vibrato going backward towards the scroll.
+pine trees Do you have a violin teacher? Or had one in the past? Because if you are holding your violin incorrectly or your left hand posture is incorrect (bending the wrist) you will not likely be able to do vibrato. Your hand should be relaxed at all times.
I found the rolling from one edge of your fingernail to the other very helpful, but I was really at a loss about what to do with the thumb. After watching very carefully I was able to figure out that the placement of the thumb directly under the finger board gives the support for the rolling action. As you say, I am a work in progress. Bravo for your video!
I recommend watching Hilary Hahn play - she does amazing things with her thumb! It was from her that I discovered quite how important the thumb is. One of the slow motion TH-cam vibrato videos has a clip of her playing (towards the end IIRC).
You explained that exceptionally well. People know exactly what you are saying "concisely". "Rolling", "rocking"; same difference. I, so much, appreciate that you do these videos and you aren't demanding anything in return. That in itself, is amazing. Your lessons have helped me immensely! Thank you! B t w, you are the instructor, instruct how you like.
E Darr Thank you, and I appreciate your comment! I do get very frustrated when I spend a LOT of time making good (and lest we not forget, free) instructional videos from many many years of my own learning and practise, when folks jump in and start criticising the way I do things and literally telling me that what im teaching is totally wrong!!! Joys of the internet I guess... :))
You are welcome. Unfortunately, so many people are just plain mean these days. Usually brought about by jealousy and envy. I feel extremely fortunately to find someone as awesome as you. So generous with your time, knowledge and skills! A gold mine!!!
E Darr Yes i agree, but it wont stop me! Just makes me more determined to succeed and eventually become the one stop shop for free internet learning!! lol :))
The Online Piano and Violin Tutor Good. I am happy to hear that. You provide a very informative, professional tutorial and I would sure be unhappy if it went away.
I've been playing the violin for almost 10 years now and I still can't do vibrato and it's getting really annoying now :( although I think I can blame myself because I never really put aside the time to practice it. I will definitely start practicing do that hopefully when my orchestra starts rehearsing again go can do it :D
EriiinJackson in my church there’s an elderly elder who sometimes performs violin I never had seen him doing vibrato for years now his hearing is very bad he might not getting vibrato in his life time. I am 55 I am practicing vibrato everyday so that I can get it before too late to learn.
I kept asking my orchestra teacher what is the wiggly thing she’s doing while playing violin and she said it was a vibrato, so thank you so much i learned a new technique from you!
I am so excited that I found you! I started playing violin at age 10 and played for 4 years before we moved to California and school system that didn't have a music program. I never went back to it. I'm 46 now and I'm going to blow the dust off my violin and my skills and learn again. Thank you so much for putting all of this in one place on your website. Simply brilliant! I can't thank you enough.
OMG!!! It worked! I am so thankful to you. Like boy, I was trynna find a video that shows a method that actually work. Your technique was not so hard to understand. I've been practicing vibrato now for 3 months. I am still a little low on speed but am able to do the movement. A highly recommended channel for sure. For people trying this out, just be patient and try practicing in front of a mirror. That helps!
I’ve watched them all and this is the first one that actually helped by explaining the rolling motion. Once you get that idea, it makes the motion clear. Perfect explanation
I‘ve been playing the violin for 13 years now (I‘m 19) and I did fake vibrato the whole time. I just didn‘t spend time on practicing my vibrato. Every time I tried to do wrist vibrato I became frustrated and gave up. Now I want to join a college orchestra and I will have to do a foreplay (it’s next week...) And as I will play Sicilienne by M.T. von Paradis I want to finally learn how to vibrato correctly and play this piece the way it should. I watched your video today and practised the vibrato for an hour straight afterwards. I really feel like my fingers finally know what to do!! It‘s not perfect yet - but it made click and I‘m positive I‘ll nail it till next week. Thank you so much for this video!!!
Whilst I sort of agree, I disagree at the same time. All students who have tried vibrato too early have very little success as its too soon and the more they shake, the less control they have at this stage over the instrument which is why one should wait. When students have been playing well over a year or two, there is no shaking. This is coming from 17 years of teaching and of course its MY opinion and NOT meant to be controversial or upset or disagree/argue with anyone.
No wonder when I was in second grade my teacher said I wasn't ready yet. But some kids at the age of 2 are playing with vibrato so I'm kinda confused :/ 8-8
Now that I see it close up, I realise you don't move your fingers, you shake them. I've been trying to move my fingers for months, thank you for the close up!
you have inspired me. i have tried to do vibrato and tried different techniques but haven't gotten any where and keep giving up. but you've narrowed it down to such a simple motion that i'm going to try one more time, and keep at it as long as it takes.
This video really helped me understand the movement of vibrato. Before I watched the video, I had always tried to do vibrato by just moving my fingers up and down off of the string. Thank you for showing me the proper way! I'm planning on practicing the movement every day and my goal is to have it by the end of the summer!
I have watched over 20 videos over 5 months, and sucked at vibrato, and then found this video. With in 5 minutes of watching this video, I have a pretty good vibrato! Thanks!
I see a lot of comments from people who have played for many years, but still can't do Vibrato. I think the best advice Alison has is, "Keep at it," That can be said of violin as a whole, I am approaching two years and I still bow unwanted strings and don't get my fingers down fast enough some times, but I am not giving up. Thanks for your sound advice, Alison.
Thank you so much! This is a great technique. Been playing on and off for 16 years and could never get the hang of vibrato. I know what I've been doing wrong now. Thank you! :)
+cutelilly1000vedios Hav you been constantly trying vibrato throughout those 4 years? I dont mean a bit here and a bit there, constantly, each day and each time you play? If the answer is yes and you still cant do it, then perhaps its time to see a teacher, if the answer is no, then vibrato is something that MUST be practised daily and constantly, not on and off, here and there. That could be the reason its not clicked for you yet.
The Online Piano and Violin Tutor I have been doing vibrato everyday when I get my violin out, which is Mon-Fri and every once and a while Saturday and Sunday, when I play my vibrato it sounds like a mosquito, that's what my mom told me xP, is it supposed to sound like that?
+cutelilly1000vedios This is one of those instances where I or someone would need to see whats going on in order to help as I have absolutely no idea whats going on. I couldnt possibly tell. I might suggest that if you want to move forward with this, it may well be worth having a one-off lesson with someone local or online etc just to help sort this out and move on. I do offer Skype lessons at $40 per 30 minutes if that helps, or try to find someone local to you, or a violin friend who can help.
The Online Piano and Violin Tutor Thanks for the offer, but I will ask my Orchestra teacher for some help with it, there might be something wrong with my violin, I got it 2 years ago and it was a used violin, so I might need to upgrade it, again thank you for the offer :)
I literally just got my violin (which I named Ash :)) on 03-01 and legit thanks to your lessons I've learned all the notes and basics, and now I'm learning vibrato.
Your description of rolling the finger is absolutely correct, from what I can see of your demonstration. I don’t see why anyone would criticize your choice of words, which is fully accurate. Thank you for your wonderful instruction!
Thank you! This is the only video that explains it in the correct direction the fingers are aligned in. All the other videos stress a flattening of the top joint of the finger which is, I find, impossible given that the fingers are aligned side by side on the fingerboard. Your side-to-side motion makes complete anatomical sense!
I played all through elementary and high school. In all that time I wasn't taught vibrato. I wasn't even told what it was called. Every now and then I pick up the violin to play, and wished I knew how to do it. Last night, while researching every violin term, I came upon it. Thank you for this video (and for others who have made similar ones). I
Mam I think the students who r learning violin from u r so lucky.even I am so jealous of them.mam can u tell me where is ur class .if it is comfortable for me I ll dam surely come and join in our class as a student
This lesson works for me . Where most other vibrato tutorials I've seen focus on the wrist motion, I like how this one focuses on the finger 'roll' - the wrist motion does naturally follow. Great tips!
OMG I GOT IT!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH... SO IT SHOULD BE HOW U PUT THE VIOLIN ON UR SHOULDER- U SHOULD RELAXED UR ARM AND HANDS AND COMFORTABLY TOUCH THE STRINGS
I figured this would be easy coming from a background of 19 years playing guitar... oh how wrong was I :P These are definitely muscles being used in completely new ways for me. I even do guitar vibrato sometimes on multiple strings at the same time, and even that was no preparation at all for violin vibrato. So, practice practice practice :)
This is my first year playing viola and I've been wanting to try vibrato for a long time. My friend and I would always joke about it and exaggerate it like "oh I can do it perfectly*moves and roughly*" 😂 but we get jealous at those who can do vibrato lol but seeing other comments saying after 5, 3 years they still can't do it kinda scares me lol
Thank you so much for these videos, as someone trying to get back into the violin after taking it for three years in middles school, I just wanted to say you are so helpful.
Miranda Clark I only tried the guitar and even I know it has a vibrato. On electric guitar you can do it in 2 ways... the tremolo or also called a whammy bar.. or pulling the strings on the neck ;) And one more thing.. vibrato on guitar is very bad for your strings if you don't do it right.
***** that's what I said ;) if you don't use the vibrato (whammy bar) the right way it's bad for your strings. So if you do if you do it right it isn't a problem.
I've been playing guitar for literally too long to remember, and I can't fight the wiggly back and forth way that is part of how my left hand functions 😄 Also, exams for instruments is making me sweat vicariously 😰
I’ve been playing my violin for 6 years... My vibrato is basically me shaking the neck of my violin Pushing out the sound, begging for it to sound nice
I thank you for teaching us the violin so well. I am Sara and I live in Iran, and on this side of the world I love you for your kindness. Thank you.👑🌷🌹
+Elle Perlas Have you been playing more than a year. I wouldnt touch vibrato until after a year as thats how long the basics take to settle in and mature. If the violin shakes, it could be a sign you are trying it too early.
I recommend moving your thumb closer to the bottom of the fingerboard for the time being. Also, make sure that the bottom joint of your first finger isn't touching the violin. These two things helped me a lot, hope they do the same for you.
I'm great at cello vibrato, so I think that's why it's a struggle for me to get the hand movement correct for viola vibrato. It is pretty different, and my hand keeps wanting to do vibrato for cello. Stop it hand!
Same. I learned to play cello at school and just picked up on violin 3 months ago. I'm in 7th grsde and we are playing grade 2.5 and 3. I can play the violin version and cello version but it doesn't sound as nice without vibrato that the other kids can do.
So I know it's way too soon. I have owned and played a violin for a week now. And just you slowing it down has helped sooo much. I was confused, because it looks like you were hammering. But you kept saying rolling lol and rolling you are. But watching it all slowly play out. I'm already starting to get the grasp it. You have high dexterity and graceful wrist. It has been a workout for me, thank you. 😂
I'm 13 and play in school orchestra, and when I watch others do 'vibrato' they always just kinda wiggle the other fingers 😂 Thanks so much for the tips, really helpful
Is it better to have a shoulder rest to do vibrato cuz I dont have one and wen I try doing vibrato either the violin or the bow will shake and it doesn't really sound good.
Bianca Benavides The violin shakes most likely because you are attempting it too soon. I would say on average you need to have been playing about a year before you try it. You need to let the basics settle in and even though you may 'feel' like you have the basics down, you need to let you body be secure totally with them and progress through time and that usually takes a year. You a) dont need vibrato in the early stages of learning and b) it will cause you far more problems if you do it too soon. Of course, this is MY opinion on the subject.....
Bianca Benavides well then you need to stick at it! It will take forever, but you will get there. its not an overnight thing or something you will get in 2 weeks, but months. Each time you stop trying it, you put yourself back, so you must keep at it and it will eventually come! Work through the rubbish sound (lol) and soon it will sound wonderful!
You need a shoulder est to support the violin and to hold it correctly so it doesnt fall off of your shoulder. And you need to keep preacficing and try to keep the bow strait. Pretend the bow and the string is a plus sign. Keep your bow from tilting and stay in the bow lane. Try not to move the bow up and down the string and keep your wrist strait. Your violin should sound MUCH clearer
I've been playing for almost a year (the viola) and no one in my section knows how or attempts vibrato and nearly a month ago I became section leader and I kinda wanted us to like learn how to do it so together and your video really helped :)
I'm in the same case. This is my fourth year playing violin and I have been learning to play vibrato for about a month, I still can't get it. hopefully I will get it during this year, since I want to be able to play it once in in highschool. (I'm only 13 yrs old)
I don't believe you. You're trying it wrong it wrong if you don't get there in four years, i think. But, I am just beginning to learn to play violin, so what do i know! : )
Bibek Gautam I been playing for 2 years still can't get it! Even when everyone calls me Little Ms. Lindsey Strilling, I have no idea why they do that, even if I can shift just not do vibrato!
I've been playing guitar for 30+ years. I can play as well as a fish can swim, or a bird can fly. So I've picked up the violin and I feel like I should have started decades ago. I love this instrument! I was able to get vibrato on my second or third try. I treated it like I was hammering a trill riff, but without lifting my finger from the string. Works like a charm. I did notice that my fingertip does rock a little, but my wrist does not move. In fact, I don't think wrist movement is necessary and is probably counter productive.
for those of you who learned this, my tips is don't give up easily, keep practicing because i've only learned violin for about 1 week and i can perfectly do the vibrato only in one day after watching this video (with middle finger, haven't practicing with other fingers) so in total i only need 8 days to learn to play a song with violin plus learn vibrato. i do have guitar basic for five years, tho, maybe it helps me to master vibrato, even though i'm new to violin. just practice it regularly, guys! =)
so I understand the movements, but I feel as I have to let go of the violin to do vibrato? putting all of the weight on my chin and neck and it hurts, I also end up shaking the whole violin...any tips pls? T^T
+Feline Potato I do to. I just started today and I have a really scratchy E and I'm doing everything right and it's tuned correctly and my bow is not to tight, not too loose. what should I do about that?
Madison Jensen either you're pushing too hard or too soft with the bow. Maybe your finger isn't on the string firm enough. Don't worry, that used to happen to me a lot too.
António Ramos do you mean and 2 and a half year old? You cant - they are simply too young regardless what anyone else says. They are just not at that age where really anything useful can go in. My opinion of course....
You don't. The earliest possible age should not be earlier than five and that only IF the child has the capacity of following instructions- that can be tested through other activities, not just music. What you can do at a very early age, although not 2.5 yrs, is to have them sing a lot. We must teach children to learn how to listen to music first, then put an instrument in their hands. Must develop very good ears first. Good luck🎻
IV been getting frustrated with vibrato and watched a few videos and gotten so confused, but you slowing things down really helped. It has made vibrato a lot clearer for me. And playing my piece whilst trying to do it even if it doesn't sound great. I'm seeing improvement. You are great keep it up I subscribed :)
Awesome! Slow motion video and zoom really help. I had read many posts saying the finger tip joint had to flex and extend for vibrato which is extremely difficult for older fingers. The rolling side to side makes much more practical sense. Thank you!
you DONT have to learn vibrato , its not something to learn . When you start singing with your violin and be emotional it comes naturally. If you do vibrato just because your teacher says it is just annoying to hear you playing . I have been playing the violin for 7 years and just last year I started doing vibrato without learning or practicing vibrato at all . Just sing and it will come naturally .
Thank you for the vibrato. I'm just a beginner and the concept is a new one for me. You're very clear in the video with your hand and finger movements. Rita, from India

+cutelilly1000vedios No worries - I didnt know if you had someone who you could ask. Obviously your orch teacher is free, so go with that option :)
I literally just got my violin (which I named Ash :)) on 03-01 and legit thanks to your lessons I've learned all the notes and basics, and now I'm learning vibrato.
been playing violin for 11 years (I'm 15) and only just learned it a few years ago! Just keep practicing and you will get it !
Your description of rolling the finger is absolutely correct, from what I can see of your demonstration. I don’t see why anyone would criticize your choice of words, which is fully accurate. Thank you for your wonderful instruction!
my teachers not teaching good so now i have to learn from here and thank you
"teach yourself at home" I mean yeah, at least now we are
8:34 That's some type of Silent hill sound effects right there.
Oh yeah, the sirens 😣😣😣
Good movie
When you’ve been playing since you were 10 and your now 19 and still can’t do vibrato 😔
Just curious. It's been a year. Can you do vibrato now???
You just ended my hopes. 😂
Zuni Suki I’ve been doing violin for 3 years and now I can do vibrato and I’m only 11-12
*im sorry for trying to be a Ling ling*
#twosetviolin
i’ve been playing for 5 years and i can’t do vibrato either😔
I have been playing for 7 years and I learned vibrato when I was 8, for some reason it wasn't that hard now i'm 11 lol
This is my first day learning violin, wish me luck learning this :)
Meilin L Any progress?
mm
All the best!
This lesson works for me . Where most other vibrato tutorials I've seen focus on the wrist motion, I like how this one focuses on the finger 'roll' - the wrist motion does naturally follow. Great tips!
OMG... the rolling explanation TOTALLY helped - Thank you so very VERY much....
At last I can begin to master this
Thanks! You are the best violin tutor on youtube! :)
OMG I GOT IT!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH...
SO IT SHOULD BE HOW U PUT THE VIOLIN ON UR SHOULDER-
U SHOULD RELAXED UR ARM AND HANDS AND COMFORTABLY TOUCH THE STRINGS
I figured this would be easy coming from a background of 19 years playing guitar... oh how wrong was I :P These are definitely muscles being used in completely new ways for me. I even do guitar vibrato sometimes on multiple strings at the same time, and even that was no preparation at all for violin vibrato. So, practice practice practice :)
Thank you and pratique vibration Mr Mustapha and Casablanca Moroco.
Thank you for all you do!
There’s so much to learn -

When the slow mo started I glanced out the window to see if my neighbour had started up his infernal lawn mower. Love the video though, very helpful!
Hand*
I like a lot of things Another army that plays viola! I've been playing for 3 years and I absolutely love it. I hope you do too❤️
Ugh this is like almost impossible for me😭I can't move my finger like that without wiggling the bow at the same time!
+Brea Middleton How long have you been playing for approx?
+The Online Piano and Violin Tutor only 5 months
+Brea Middleton its far too soon: th-cam.com/video/exmrX0jC3NM/w-d-xo.html
Same 😭😭 I thought I was the only one with that problem
Me too
Like how you explained the concept
Thank you so much for these videos, as someone trying to get back into the violin after taking it for three years in middles school, I just wanted to say you are so helpful.
Ok...this is DEFINIITELY not the same as vibrato on a guitar
DUH
I agree
I've played guitar for four years and I didn't know there is vibrato for guitar!!
I've been playing guitar for literally too long to remember, and I can't fight the wiggly back and forth way that is part of how my left hand functions 😄
Also, exams for instruments is making me sweat vicariously 😰
I feel ya lol... tough transition.
Omg same!
I’ve been playing my violin for 6 years...
My vibrato is basically me shaking the neck of my violin
Pushing out the sound, begging for it to sound nice
Bruh same 😭 though ive only been playing fir a week 💀💀
@@ashin4299 i wouldn't focus on practicing vibrato rn then.
I just started learning violin and once you said rolling I immediately got it thank you so much
I thank you for teaching us the violin so well. I am Sara and I live in Iran, and on this side of the world I love you for your kindness. Thank you.👑🌷🌹

Me: hears the violin in the intro
also me: *yeah that's me right now lmao*
I am just 9 and i am geting a hang of it😀
Thanks for showing me I've been playing for 5 years (3rd-8th grade) and i think its about time!
+Scott Petersen. Yup, you are just in time! I also did vibrato after learning for 5 years. I started at 5 now I'm 10.
used this to apply vibrato to amazing grace, sounds beautiful!!❤️
When I try vibrato, I always seem to move the whole entire violin. Help, please?
+Elle Perlas Have you been playing more than a year. I wouldnt touch vibrato until after a year as thats how long the basics take to settle in and mature. If the violin shakes, it could be a sign you are trying it too early.
The Online Piano and Violin Tutor I've been playing for three years or so. Thanks for the advice!
I recommend moving your thumb closer to the bottom of the fingerboard for the time being. Also, make sure that the bottom joint of your first finger isn't touching the violin. These two things helped me a lot, hope they do the same for you.
@@umerraja2655 how can you control ur violin during a play then..
It’s really that different?
Sameee cello vibrato is kind of easy but I’m self teaching myself for violin and it’s really hard :/
I've always wanted to do vibrato on my violin because somehow, it makes everything sound better for me.
Having a good chin rest was so helpful in getting over my fear of dropping my violin. And made vibrato easier to learn for myself.
I'm 13 and play in school orchestra, and when I watch others do 'vibrato' they always just kinda wiggle the other fingers 😂
Thanks so much for the tips, really helpful
The Online Piano and Violin Tutor well Im going into my third yr of playing violin but thank u
The Online Piano and Violin Tutor lol ok thank u
I can finally do it my profile picture is the exact emotion/ thing I'm doing to you right now thank you so much

Me : I'm gonna master vibrato
My pinkie finger: I'm gonna ruin this man's career
I got it down in a few minutes and I've only been playing for a month or so on the violin...
Wait really? I've been playing for 6 years and practiced for 3 months on vabroto and still can't get it, god damn
I'm in the same case. This is my fourth year playing violin and I have been learning to play vibrato for about a month, I still can't get it. hopefully I will get it during this year, since I want to be able to play it once in in highschool. (I'm only 13 yrs old)
Wow finally
I've met the best vibrato teacher
The best practical advice from the internet so far. This seems doable! I'll keep trying, as you say.
Wow this is amazing that you so much for teaching me
You said it'll take time. I've been trying it for 4 years... 😂
I don't believe you. You're trying it wrong it wrong if you don't get there in four years, i think. But, I am just beginning to learn to play violin, so what do i know! : )
If you are trying to perfect it then ehh maybe but yeah it shouldnt take that long
Bibek Gautam I been playing for 2 years still can't get it! Even when everyone calls me Little Ms. Lindsey Strilling, I have no idea why they do that, even if I can shift just not do vibrato!
It took me like 3 weeks to learn wrist, then an extra week to learn arm vibrato. It shouldn't take very long to learn.
damm 4 years
Could you show us the motion on the wrist?
+It's Manderin How long have you been playing?
+The Online Piano and Violin Tutor for about 2 years
Same ! :/ maby try not doing it with ur whole arm but wrist and finger
You should get a shoulder rest. It really helps and you wont have to put so much effort holding the violin between your shoulder and chin
+patricia p that doesn't help. I have one and trust me, it doesn't....
Man it's easier to squat 200lb than to do vibrato. I guess I gotta build those muscles
Easy, hold my coffee.
Oh wait. I don’t have a violin.
You are a great teacher indeed!
Thank you! My son was so excited he was able to vibrato better after your video
There are 2 more videos linked under this one, with one being a video I did only a few months ago and it’s better than the other 2.

That's not fair! I play a viola! :'(
I play violin 😏
+Feline Potato I do to. I just started today and I have a really scratchy E and I'm doing everything right and it's tuned correctly and my bow is not to tight, not too loose. what should I do about that?
Madison Jensen either you're pushing too hard or too soft with the bow. Maybe your finger isn't on the string firm enough. Don't worry, that used to happen to me a lot too.
+Feline Potato ok thanks! maybe I'll try that in class tomorrow!
How do you teach a 2,5 years old girl ?
António Ramos do you mean and 2 and a half year old? You cant - they are simply too young regardless what anyone else says. They are just not at that age where really anything useful can go in. My opinion of course....
You don't. The earliest possible age should not be earlier than five and that only IF the child has the capacity of following instructions- that can be tested through other activities, not just music. What you can do at a very early age, although not 2.5 yrs, is to have them sing a lot. We must teach children to learn how to listen to music first, then put an instrument in their hands. Must develop very good ears first. Good luck🎻
That is probably to early but it depends on how much she learned

I learned vibrato in like 3 weeks
IV been getting frustrated with vibrato and watched a few videos and gotten so confused, but you slowing things down really helped. It has made vibrato a lot clearer for me. And playing my piece whilst trying to do it even if it doesn't sound great. I'm seeing improvement. You are great keep it up I subscribed :)
Dont forget to watch the other 2 videos I have on vibrato all linked below this video.
Awesome! Slow motion video and zoom really help. I had read many posts saying the finger tip joint had to flex and extend for vibrato which is extremely difficult for older fingers. The rolling side to side makes much more practical sense. Thank you!
I learned vibrato in 1 year(I’ve been playing for almost 2 years)but I’m really bad at doing vibrato with my pinky😂😅
you DONT have to learn vibrato , its not something to learn . When you start singing with your violin and be emotional it comes naturally. If you do vibrato just because your teacher says it is just annoying to hear you playing . I have been playing the violin for 7 years and just last year I started doing vibrato without learning or practicing vibrato at all . Just sing and it will come naturally .
If i'm In my first year of violin, can i learn vibrato ?
No: th-cam.com/video/exmrX0jC3NM/w-d-xo.html
okay thanks, i 'll watch the video

I think you could try it if you feel like you're good enough. It depends on the person.
Lucy Wherestarsfall im in second and havent learned it yet
Tried several times i will keep trying i really am in love with violin .
Thank you for the vibrato. I'm just a beginner and the concept is a new one for me. You're very clear in the video with your hand and finger movements. Rita, from India
