I went on the Carnival Magic and had Guys Burgers the entire time that they were open I mean for lunch for dinner and I even brought them back to my cabin again for breakfast
Going on Paradise first of February. We did Guys the last time and loved all the shows. They do an awesome job with entertainment on Carnival. The cruise director was fantastic and loved his job, and it showed with the participation. Great video.

One of our favorite things to do is find a quiet deck area, bring the binoculars & watch for flying fish over the water! They are definitely there! Loved this video!
The Breeze has been my only ship to sail so far, but I loved her she was a great ship. But we also had the best cruise director ever, and a great DJ. I loved out of all the shows, Flick the best. There was just something about it, and Guy's Burger was so yummy. We are suppose to go on the Dream next summer I think, if we do I am for sure trying a drink from the Alchemy Bar. Highly suggest the Steakhouse. We always make reservations on the first night. $35 per person for a lot of great food and a good relaxing dining experience. Definitely gonna be trying more Alchemy drinks! Is it bad that I love the planned naps? I don't nap at home and the rocking of the ship puts me right to sleep. When we had breaks in between things we would go to our cabin and say we can't sit on the bed or we will fall asleep lol. Great video as usual!

It's nice that on the Carnival site you can check out and compare ships to see which ships have the Amenities you want/need. We always look for Blue Iguana, Guy's Burger and Dr. Seuss
We usually prefered the PG comedy shows, some of the 'adult' ones had too much foul language and mean spirited jokes. We LOVED the piano bar on the Carnival Glory--her name was Joanne and she was amazing!

The Comedy Shows and Play List Shows are really good. If you time it right you can watch both at the same time. One of our favorite places to watch the show's are up in the balcony. It's really fun over at the piano bar even if you don't drink. I think we ran into Ben last year he's cool. The dive in movies are really cool. Will definitely have to look for the secret decks and have to check out tea time. Karaoke is also really fun too. Normally we go around our Anniversary and so I like to sing to my wife. Surfer Girl our song. It's the experience with both Guy's Burger and Blue Iguana.

I have a question for Jason: I know you get the drink package but do you think it is worth it if you you only drink beer and not mixed drinks? We were going to get the pkg for my husband and brother n law but not sure if it is worth it. Also, what camera do you bring? A big dslr or small handheld? I love taking pics and I have a heavy dslr but not sure I want to lug that around.
Beers are about $7-8 each so you would need to drink about 7 a day to break even. I know that many isn't a problem for many :) I have a Canon G7X Mark II camera. It takes very crisp pictures and this is also what I use for recording my videos as it is steady and does wonderful in all lights, inside and outside and at night!

My husband and I have been married 34 years. In 2014 we took our first cruise. Up until that time we had no photos of the 2 of us together. No we have photos of us zip lining, riding a camel and in formal dress. And yes Guy’s burgers are the best!
I don't know what it was maybe it was just the time of day that we went but I really didn't think the Guy burger was that good. It was dry and the fries were really greasy and floppy, it just wasn't that great of an experience for us so we didn't eat there again. There was no sauce on ours either just some soggy onions so it wasn't very good.
After watching what you said about not getting one on the first day or in the afternoon I definitely plan on giving them another try. We unfortunately did both of those things because we were so excited to try them, but I think next time we'll wait.
Do you suggest to spend money on the port activities or just walk around on our own. Every activity is so expensive and for a family of 5 wondering if they are worth it. (Catalina/Ensenada)
erika, totally get you. We've been cruising Ensenada from Long Beach 5 or 6 times now. We never did the excursions. Most of the time, we stay on the ship and because it's Port Day, you have the whole ship to yourself (and a few others). Only once, in Ensenada, we negotiated a horse drawn buggy ride where we stopped by the beach. We also just walked around and ate at some nice local faves. In Catalina Island, if you have not been there, you can rent a golf cart on your own and drive around the island looking at their unique tiny little houses and how they customize their golf carts since buying a car is on an annual lottery system. In my opinion, there's no need to buy excursions on this particular cruise.
Tea time is casual. For formal nights you can wear church clothes (well unless your church allows jeans or shorts). I normally wear a dress, but not a formal gown. For guys I would say minimum would be dress slacks and a polo shirts. Hope this helps.

Yes! Loved the flying fish. I even got to see dolphins while we were leaving Galveston. They were playing in the waves the boat was making!

We keep being told to try the steakhouse... maybe on the next cruise! There is nothing at all wrong with naps on vacation :)

Definitely give them a try! It is all we have done so far but are sailing with NCL later this year and would like to try RCCL next year.
