Yesterday me and my friend took the bike for a 600km ride and we got 23 for both our bikes and we were constantly doing 120-130, it was just the highway ride.
Congratulations on getting your new bike. Just a word of advice , the engine is still in it's break in period. It's not advisable to rev it that hard and open it up to it's top speed. It will end up giving you a lot of issues in the longer run.
@@UjwalSandeep AFAIK REs are pretty old school and I doubt hard break in will be a better choice . To top it up it's a twin cyl and not 4, Here just the 2 cyl bear the brunt of the excess heat . Also the tyres and breaks are almost new , making it more likely for you to drop it. I'll stick to the old school soft break in
Rohan Kamath yes i learned it at 47k km.. engine knocking issue. had to replace my cylinder head, guide valve, shims, tensioner. CBR250 cost me 13k(super happy price) not gonna be the same for re 650.
Never max your speedo till after the first 1000 kms, also known as the run-in period. Also best mileage will only be realized after second or third service is done. Cheers and congratulations on your new ride... drive safe

Hearty Congratulations on the first Interceptor. Totally appreciate the honest and realistic mileage test. 15 is a shocking mileage at the speeds, where this motorcycle will be used by most.
Dude awesome man, happy to c ur machine roaring on the road. As all expected, and as someone criticises that after the 10K ownership review only, we will come to know how s the reliability. I am also waiting eagerly to book this beast but unfortunately still bike not available in TN.😣
Excellent brother. This is how everyone should test the fuel efficiency. Because it varies drastically by riding style. 1. Full throttle 2. Relaxed pace 3. Traffic
Congratulations for the bike.... Very informative video.... I guess the fuel efficiency won't differ much between 80-110 .... Only beyond those speeds would the fuel efficiency get affected.
New engine will have friction loss in break-in period. Please check mileage after break-in period. I think you are doing it in a hurry! All the best with your bike...
Bro..nice however I like to tell u the following 1. Any brand new vehicle, one shud ride at 60kmph max for the first 1000km so that the engine sets in..this is called the running in period..this helps in better mileage n smooth running of the engine.. 2. Weaving through the traffic is bad at high speeds whether with ABS or not.. 3. U ride any bike at the cruise speeds of 80-100 max they give good mileage.. Thanx for the pains taken for the review..Congrats for the new bike..
Congratulations for your new bike!! 💐 It was a nice video. Please do cover some bad road patches to review it's both shock absorbers. If possible try to compare the riding comfort with other REs like Classic, Electra and TBTS.
Congratulations for new bike brother and good luck for your future adventure journey on it. Informative video thi Aur bahut he sensibly explainable bhi thi ki how to get maximum mileage, if at all someone ask kitna deti hai for 650cc bike. But Abhi apne engine break in period ka dhyan rakho taaki bike long run me bhi 165 touch kare. All the very best
I got delivery of interceptor 650twin on 07tj of December and till now I ride almost 540km . No doubt Bike is awesome but don’t ever care about mileage with this bike . If u r looking for mileage thn this bike is not for you . In city traffic I am getting mileage of 16/17km which is less when u compare to Bikes of 2 to 3 Lakhs segment
Frankly speaking, I like this bike. But if you consider mileage, it's not anywhere close to my Duke 390, 2013 model. At high way speeds of 120-130, I get 35, even when I use it's power occasionally to pick up from a signal. If I keep a steady 95 to 100 kmph, after about 45 minutes of non-stop, cool riding, the real time mileage indicator climbs up to 40 and in one rare case, it came up to 42. With severe use of its power in city traffic, I still get around 21 to 22. Even though RE is a 650, twin, I'm quite sure I'm pulling my Duke 390 really hard on acceleration and power output. But, then again, the RE is a cool bike, with good looks and a much better engine sound. I still would consider going for the RE also, because each bike has its own charm and it all depends on how one looks at it and intends to get from either. So far, from what I've seen of the RE, it's a good machine and quite interesting in its own right.
First of all congratulations for intercepter 650 But want to know mielage of this bike on 40to 50 kmh on hiway And please check for proper galvanization in inner tank cause on top it seems not having full galvanized at fuel filling hole please check and if not claim it and get new tank cause it will cause rust inside and thereafter will effect in carb and piston head Thanks
what about the run-in/break-in period of the bike? The way you used the vehicle this will change the piston and cylinder tolerances and overall health of the engine. Best of luck for future videos.
@@gaadi-waadi Thanks to you sir , 1st Mileage video woh bi detail mein , you have given the idea tht if ridden in city it would give about 21-23kmpl mileage , at high speeds (above 130kmph)it would give 15-17kmpl , this performance is amazing and beyond my expectations, This is a great value for money for a 650cc .
