- Hey folks, this is just a quick clip about the DJI MINI SE in photo mode, it's okay... if you work hard you get some great photos... not amazing, not incredible, not unbelievable, but great!
Hey! My name is Corey and I am coming at you out of Wellington, New Zealand. I am a photo enthusiast and I do some pro work like real estate and weddings. I used to paint and sketch but I thought it would be easier to simply snap pictures than to paint them. How wrong was I? This photography lark is a tricky business getting it right, but is an awesome buzz all the same!

Why is this thing doesn't have a raw/dng option??? manually bracketing the raw could get you amazing dynamic range
Because it’s cheap Id say, have to pay more for RAW.
good tutorial here . i think i learned something . wether it gets remembered on the field is another thing .
i aways forget about stills and quick shots when i'm flying . then regret it later .
Yeah mate I always forget stills, usually because the shot becomes clear during a video shot which you have to stop and grab the still and ruin the shot. Wouldn’t mind the active track, maybe will get a better drone next time.

Like all dji drones whats the noise levels like. My air 2 was noisy even in good light
Hey Keith, yeah being JPG only they’re pretty average files to be honest, good for a glance and some interesting shots but not so great for anything pro… I’m not so bothered by the noise but definitely there is some over-sharpening involved, image breaks up pretty quickly when cropping in or looking closely

Yeah I'llbe lining up the mini 2S or the 3 when that comes out, or a cheaper 2, then I'll have a back up drone, haha, yeah thats what i need... a back up drone!

Hi Corey, been playing flying and practice with the drone and I think I got it. I want to make a video for my daughter b'day party, a simple video maybe like playing on the park or in the grass field. Question is do I need ND filter to enhance the result?
Good morning! Thanks for the comment and that sounds like a cool idea, I don’t think an ND filter is essential for filming footage in bright light but it still could be useful or enhance the footage! I don’t use them currently but I will probably get some sometime soon. Enjoy the party and happy celebrations for your daughter!

Hey there, it saves to the memory card but you can also cache a copy to the phone, it’s basically as good of a file, the photos in this drone are okay - better than no photo - but not great.

Nice pics man looking good even the low light shots! I take it the SE doesn't shoot in jpeg+raw like the mini 2?
Hey thanks, and Nope sorry the SE is limited to jpeg only! Bit of a bummer but still something capable of getting "a" shot that "could" be "usable" or even "great!"

Hey Anto! No but I probably should, that was like a weird chromatic effect from the light I think it was sun directly ahead and high of that shot. Yeah I will get some filters but I usually just leave them in the bag when I have them, too hasty to fly!

Hi, enjoyed this. I used to live in Stokes Valley and would go up the road to the rail bridge and road bridge over the river to swim in the pools around the foundations. I thought this may be a cool place to video with the drone. Not sure if it’s legal etc under the bridges? Laurie
Hey LWJ, thanks for the comments and the reminiscing, yeah that sounds like it could be a sweet spot, under bridges would be fine… I am aiming to head to the hutt over the next week or so and go again so I will keep this in mind and see if I can deliver you some more memories! Does the mini SE not have the orientation compass on the bottom of the are screen?
Nope seems like it only has the map but the map has a little icon representing the orientation of the drone, hard to see though without enlarging to the map view.

Hey Reinier, I just checked though settings and it did not allow the gimbal to rotate for 9:16 aspect ratio, sorry to say.
