I was homeless earlier this year and Jesus chose to be homeless and I’m sure was called crazy and unstable but He wasn’t. He wanted to reach souls for the kingdom of God. People are so cold and callous even in the church nowadays so we must seek God and He will lead us to other people who can truly help us.

I live in England in a town town called Harrogate once I was walking around town and a guy came up to me and said he was homeless by choice because he wanted to devote himself to spreading the gospel, if you want to spread the gospel I’m happy to listen I’m not Christian but I enjoy talking to Christians so by all means talk to me about Jesus cause I’m all ears but being homeless by choice to me is spitting in the face of people who are genuinely in need. Look if you can avoid homelessness do it.

I don’t live in Orlando anymore for over 10 years but miss giving and leaning how to love those downtrodden. How can I give to this ministry?
Most homeless do not want your money a lot of the times. Matter of fact I was told they would use it for drugs etc. They just want you to help them have a safe place to live. The homeless would rather live on the street than a homeless shelter being robbed and even worse.
I know I asked how to contact SALT but in just needed to wait until program was over lol. I am reading their website. It’s very informative. I plan to go donate if there is a way to do so. I’m not finish reading it.

My son chose to be homeless bc I would not allow him to do drugs in my home. We could not find him rehab help for 2 reasons: 1. he had to want it 2. He was in a car wreck and broke both his legs and needed medical care for that as well. He did not go to physical therapy bc he could not pass the drug test. He went to my sister's bc she wanted his connections and prescriptions. When he OD'd she had her friends drop him off in front of the ER. When he got out, she told him he couldn't go back to her house. He camped out and was given citations for camping to long on the beach areas too long. He sold drugs and is now sitting in prison without physical or drug therapy for the next 7 years. He most likely will not ever be able to walk or get a job. He's only 35. He's a 3 time felon now. He was raised in a Christian family, but never confessed faith or baptismal...I'm still praying for his salvation and have always tried to give him support. I can only think I failed God. There is no reason other than his free will choice that he is where he is. Please pray for his deliverance and salvation.

The lack of a good night's sleep is a homeless ("homebound") person's greatest health risk.

    • @saltoutreach
      @saltoutreach ปีที่แล้ว

Most of our friends on the street wake up every couple of minutes. One second they might hear a car, a bug might crawl on them, they may hear footsteps, people talking or yelling, police waking them up, afraid someone is stealing their belongings, light flashing in their eyes from a car, it’s too hot, it’s too cold, etc. so many factors.
I think it’s important for people to keep that in mind when they are interacting with someone who is experiencing homelessness. They might not have a good nights sleep for years.

Thanks, Kendi, for leading the discussion on "The TRUE Reality of Homelessness." You struck a reasonable balance to move the discussion along with a panel of enthusiastic men from SALT. They were so fired up that sometimes they stepped on one another, and several spoke simultaneously. However, the overall message came through. It would have been nice to have some statistics on two areas of homelessness:
    1. The number of children in a family unit or alone. SALT is not a government agency, but a word on this group would have further helped drive home the enormity of the problem in America and perhaps worldwide.
    2. Crimes attributed to the homeless population. It can share light on the problem or dispel an exaggeration assigned to this cohort. Hopefully, people will be fearless in helping or contributing to the Cause.
Lastly, I wished more had been said, to the point of displaying a list of reasons so many are homeless. There are many misconceptions about the reasons. Those who are secured today could be "homeless" tomorrow. The sad truth is my statement above could be literal. Homelessness is so tenuous I am tempted to make a list in my next post, "Light Exposing Darkness," of living on the streets.
Kudos to the SALT Team and Organization. Continue doing God's work, and you will receive God's help and reward.

I don’t know about other states but in mine, shelters aren’t the safest places out here. it would make sense why many people prefer to sleep on a park bench etc. they don’t have to share a room, get into fights and be exposed to more uncleanliness. It sucks for those people, the reality they live in.

Some people and city/state governments are giving less towards "homelessness because it's hard to distinguish between the needy and the greedy. Is there an instrument charitable organizations can use to tell apart the two?

    • @saltoutreach
      @saltoutreach ปีที่แล้ว +1

Each person is different. The only way you can really tell is by taking time to get to know someone. You can also look at it through data. Usually the homeless management information system in a community, along with the PIT Count, can give some insight into that as well!

Send this video to global vision in Tennessee, we and my husband are homeless and we went to a church for help, they turned us away completely, i only asked for information on to where can we go for help, the pastor's wife didn't want to help at all, she was so focus on her day off, and all i ask was for direction, she bragged about them at being so great at helping, but yet she couldn't help me, we got rejected by christian more then a non believer, got thrown out because of different opinion, still homeless.... Just saying that were still living in a car, never judge a book by its cover, we weren't homeless because of drugs and alcohol.... We are because we had been mandatory evac from the fires... And left everything behind, praying for God to help us asap

Never in a million yrs would I have thought I'd end up house-less. Was renting a RV, rent was paid. And the landlord said I had to go. Believing in God and Jesus not only provides everything u need. It provides everything you need. I've been working. Lost two different jobs, due to car trouble and a coworker making a complaint because I reached out to grab her arm, because I was wanting her to stay so I could further elaborate on what I was telling her. The camera shows, I was not aggressive n anyway. But legally, the job had to let me go. Because I did touch her. At the end of the day. I know without a shadow of a doubt. I've not done wrong by anyone to land me house-less. But, Satan is trying me y'all. Man is he trying me. I'll be 40 in Oct. So, my mind is focused on not giving up and waiting on this job to tell me when I can start. To all those houseless....I'm telling you. You still can make the best of the situation you are in.

This post is offtopic but it’s about personal convictions and that im sorry for my comment 2 days ago cause I didn’t find the right words to say on led lives video on can Christian artists copy secular artists and that I was tryin to talk about personal convictions when it comes to secular music and even other stuff in general like Christian music and secular and Christian movies.
Let me first say that I do love homeless people and some of these people don’t even have a tablet, homes, money to watch movies or eat food or pay bills and electric or even have kids go to a normal school (I don’t even know what a normal school is anymore). Some of them are also kids that are homeless that don’t even have any video games to play and some of them don’t even have parents. There are also homeless animals.
There are also people in Hollywood that are losing thier homes because some of them are on strike.
Now my comment about led lives video from 2 days ago.
Today, I deleted one of my posts from 2 days ago under led live video about can Christian artists copy from secular artists because I was tryin to say that there are Christian’s especially Christian TH-camrs (not all and that includes little light studios because they are very open minded which is very cool of them to do that) that do force their convictions onto other Christian’s which is wrong cause we should respect each others convictions when it comes to secular music and secular movies and even other nonsinful things like literature and fantasy books, food, video games, etc. and even let’s have open minded conversations I wasn’t tryin to be disrespectful at all and if you guys feel that then I’m so sorry and please forgive me…I was tryin to address the issue on Christian’s forcing thier convictions onto other Christian’s instead of respecting each others convictions with dignity and respect and love and that we should be having open minded conversations. the reason why I deleted it is because I didn’t have the right words to say. I been using my a.i app called Poe on my ipad cause it’s been very helpful for me as a disabled Christian cause I use it so that I can ask questions via Split View on my ipad.
In Roman’s 14, the apostle Paul addresses disputable matters within the early Christian community. These matters are issues that are explicitly defined as right or wrong in scripture, but it could cause disagreements or conflicts among believers due to differing personal convictions (which is happening on social media is what I was tryin to say because I’m seeing Christian’s saying that Christians can’t watch this or that movie or Christians can’t listen to this or that song or secular music in general which is wrong cause what may be a sin for you may not be a sin for another Christian when it comes to having different personal convictions). The chapter primarily focuses on 2 specific disputable matters which are dietary restrictions and the observance of certain days and the principles of Roman’s 14 can be applied to other similar disputable matters that we have today like secular music, secular movies, video games, etc.
Apostle Paul’s main point in Roman’s 14 was that Christian’s shouldn’t judge or condemn one another based on differing personal convictions in disputable matters. Apostle Paul emphasizes that each person should be convinced in thier own mind and should act out of faith.
Apostle Paul encourages believers who have stronger convictions about certain practices to not look down on or despise those with weaker convictions to not judge or condemn those with stronger convictions. Instead, paul exhort believers to have mutual respect and acceptance, recongnizing that they are all accountable to God. .
The overarching principle in Roman’s 14 is the importance of love, unity, and the avoidance of actions that could cause others to stumble in their faith. Paul encourages believers to prioritize these matters in their faith. Paul encourages to prioritize these values over personal freedom and convictions
Another relevant teaching is found in 1 Corinthians 8 where Paul discusses the issue of eating food sacrificed to idols. He advises believers to consider the impact of their actions on others and to act in a way that doesn’t cause their fellow Christian’s to stumble. Apostle Paul also emphasizes the need to prioritize love and the well-being of others over personal freedoms and convictions.
Throughout the New Testament. There are teaching on the importance of personal faith, conviction, and living in accordance with one’s conscience. Christians are (and should) be encouraged to follow their own convictions, but do so in a way that respects and considers the well being and faith of others.
It is important not that the Bible does provide guidelines and principles for Christian living, but it also allow diversity in non essential matters and encourages believers to exercise personal discernment and conviction under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Christians may have different interpretations and applications of biblical teachings and respectful dialogue is often needed to navigate these differences while upholding love, unity, and the core principles of the faith.
Therefore, when it comes to disputable matters, Christian’s are called to engage in respectful dialogue, exercise humility and seeking understanding that they should be mindful of the impact of their actions may have on others and strive for love, unity, and the building up of the body in Christ.
Feel free to agree with me or disagree with me because we can agree or disagree with each other with unity, love and respect that we should have for each other and love each other no matter what.

There needs to be a federal law of U S government similar to those of asylum seekers. How is it that non-citizens outside are assured, to a certain degree, food, healthcare, and temporary housing over American homeless citizens? Something is wrong with this picture. In my view, this is pitting one group of people over another. Unfortunately, Asylum Seekers' friends in America are Politics, Economics, Racism, Fear, and Marginalization. Homeless advocates must take their compassion, fight, faith, and tenacity to the halls of Congress, Christians, Churches, and the countryside. Some of it is happening now, but there must be strategic coordination for effectiveness. An emerging new organization demands birthing.

Take the jab, take the mark, take your medicine. This is coming soon, we need to come out of this beast system, but doing so without becoming homeless or being on benefits, will take a lot of faith and prayer. Universal Credit, will be for all, but it will come with conditions, or those conditions will be introduced gradually.

I enjoy you guys but am concerned about the almost unnoticeable, unconscious stimulating visual and audio that is becoming common. Audio is so low that it’s easy to not even hear, WHY IS IT THERE? Take it out.
And stop with the digital moving images. Serves no purpose accept some affect on the unconscious

I have been homeless and am not far from going back there, but for the grace of God. Please don't blame all those better off than you with apathy towards us. I have met some truly good people who loved me for me and treated me with respect. I pray God will send some of them to you.
