One of my classes in high school at the end of the school year we actually did have a julia Roberts Marathon. We took a list of Julia Roberts movies we liked and we watched 4 of her movies

i loved how she portrayed an A list actor in notting hill. In Notting Hill, her character Ana was cocky, confident, natural and still had a passion for acting because it was what she wanted to do. I loved the duality of just being a girl and a famous actor.
My biggest criticism was that Julia and Hugh’s characters did not develop chemistry. Look at Eat Pray Love and carefully watch the gradual chemistry and affection that was openly and carefully built into the script then beautifully acted out by Julia and Javier Bardem. Now that’s chemistry, coming close to Pretty Woman in a much shorter period of time!
Sleeping with The Enemy is a great film. It's a very different role for Julia, and proves that she can play other types of roles. Nothing can beat her romantic comedies though. Erin Brockovich and Pretty Woman are incredible.
I personally think Julia Roberts’ finest acting moments have everything to do with her playing, incredibly angry women. 1.) Erin Brockovich. 2.) Dr. Emma Brookner in The Normal Heart 3.) Barbara Weston Fordham in August Osage County. She was amazing in those films!

My two favorite moments in Julia's films: One, when she and Dermot Mulroney are on the boat in Chicago in "My Best Friend's Wedding" and he begins to sing "their song" and she get tearful. Gets me every time. And two, when she goes the to bookstore in "Notting Hill" and says to Hugh Grant, "I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her." She is able to become tearful on cue, and the outfit she is wearing in that scene are her own clothes, not part of the film's wardrobe department.
I love Julia Roberts! My favorite role will always be Daisy Arujo in Mystic Pizza. She is so talented and adept at portraying the human side of every character she takes on. I second the Julia Roberts' marathon!!!😁

I've recently discovered an early role of Julia's, in 1991's Dying Young, in which she played a young woman hired to be a caretaker for a young man (Campbell Scott) dying of cancer. Both actors were young, gorgeous, and wonderfully emotive in their respective roles, hauntingly effervescent in moments of great joy and hope! I absolutely love the movie, and the characters they brought to life!
