Hi Nikki, I worked as a grip in the film industry for over 25 years. As one of the first female grips in the union, I really wanted to fit in, so I wore boyish clothes and no makeup. Now as a 57-year-old, I have decided to try and embrace makeup. My skin, which was oily and acne prone, is now becoming more dry. I took your advice and bought the Halo filter product from Elf, and it really helped my face look more hydrated. I alternate between Bounce foundation and Saie skin tint. Also, I use all-cream bronzer, and blush, Tower blush, and Saie bronzer.
I'm really struggling to do eye makeup on my hooded, puffy, dry eyes. I am wondering if at some point you could do makeup on a more mature woman. I am looking for an eyeshadow that makes my eyes look more hydrated. I like a natural look, as I find eye makeup can really age me if it's over the top.
I super love your videos and have found them so helpful, so thank you for all the energy and time you put in.
Cream shadows are great for mature and dry eye lids
I also have dry eyes area and I really like the Chanel les beiges eyeshadow palettes (the one with 5 rectangular eyeshadows inside),they smooth the eyelid etc so its nice

@@latigra4145 not a make-up advise but a skincare advise for you, prep your eyes with moisturizer/ eye cream before putting your makeup on. Skincare is the key. And don't forget sunscreen. Xx.

I have combo to oily skin so illuminators make me look reflective shiney. I wish i could wear them. I think i need to get more matte foundations to help with longevity of my foundation.

Hi Nikki, please do an eyeshadow tutorial for asian eyes. We have smaller lids, and half the time I find it so difficult to properly do transition etc. I only put colour on my lid, which is tinyyyy
I know you like the glow iv but, there is also sun bum spf 30 glow. It has a nice tint also no glitter & very glowy….

Would you be able to have a makeup session with someone who is fair/cool tone with dark features? Dark hair brown eyes? Lol I know it’s a lot to ask! Just have such a hard time finding like a your lips but better lipstick in like a mauve I guess? And a light pink cream blush! Their all too dark!

Second, no tea no shade because your brows are beautiful but you mentioned them taking a long time to do…have you ever thought about microblading? I had it done and it is a GAME CHANGER!! The place I go in Canada actually opened a second location in LA! It’s called Studio Sashiko and they do incredible work!!

Loved this look, Nikki! I think you would also love the Benefit Porefessional Setting Spray. It has a super fine mist that you barely feel. A bit cheaper than the Hourglass one too!

Nikki, I have been learning so much from you! One thing I’m still struggling with is that at the end of my makeup look, the bronzer, blush and highlight end up looking mixed and blended together which is def not the look I’m going for. Any tips??
You want to act like you’re “stacking” them on top of each other, for instance the contour and blush can overlap, and then the blush and highlighter can overlap as well, but do not let the highlighter touch the contour/and or bronzer area. That’s what makes you end up looking muddled.. try it out, hope it helps!💕
I struggled with this for a long time and I just gave up on trying to wear bronzer/contour until I heard this tip from Robert Welsh and it changed everything for me:)

If you have dry skin did the Haus foundation work well for u and does it set glowy/dewy? I have dry skin from tret so usual have a hard time picking tints and foundations cause they cling to dry spots

@@bubba283 the eye, lip and cheek products shouldn’t be an issue for you if you have sensitive skin. The only products you may need to test out are the base products like foundation and concealer !

Congrats on your collab. I tried Girlactik after seeing you use the bronzer and I fell in love. There eyeshadows are so unique and I absolutely love the shadow sticks and their blush highlighter duo thing so so good. Ladies and Gents if you haven’t tried it you really should. It’s pricey but so worth it. The bronzer is a chef’s kiss product for sure.
How do you clean all your makeup brushes and the tools you use as and how often? Can you make a video on this?
I personally try to clean my brushes every time I use them, although I’ll occasionally (very rarely though) let a few slip for a few days. It’s just so easy for bacteria to grow and cause breakouts/irritation on the skin that I don’t like taking any chances. I use the Sigma brush cleaner, the solid form and liquid, depending on how dirty they are. But I would suggest to at least wash them once a week if you don’t have time to wash them every time.
