*Remember that this saw needs to have adjustments made to make 0 or 90 cuts accurately **MyBest.Tools** I had to use a right angle on the deck and blade and then adjust the bolt to get the correct reading. Once this is done, it works great.*
Biggest thing I must comment having owning one of these is if you don't slide the guide rail over when doing tilt over miters m, you actually cut the rail. Messing up both the rail and your blade.
looks like it would mainly be useful for large crown molding. I think you are supposed to start your cut with it retracted and pull the saw towards you when using the negative rake blade that it comes with. as always I enjoy your reviews.
Hey Chris, great to stumble on this video by you... good job. I have a 10" model LS1016L with a laser and I've had great results with it for almost 6 years. However, the turn table mechanism is locked in the "zero" degree setting. Can you do a video of how to repair it? I don't want to send it to their factory approved repair center for a $300.00 charge!! Warm Greetings from Colorado!
I would spray WD-40 everywhere the saw could be frozen, especially where it slides side to side, then I would start tapping the saw with a block of wood where I sprayed it with oil, this help the oil penetrate. Sometimes WD-40 takes a while to work 10 to 20 minutes maybe longer but eventually it might unfreeze whatever is sticking. Thanks for watching! Cheers
I rented one of these from Home Depot. Glad I didn't purchase it first. This saw operates and feels like an inexpensive product. Use it for 5 minutes and you'll come away with a list of design issues you wish Makita had worked out before market.
Yours came with the blade already installed? Was it used or did you already have it open and then filmed this video? Just wondering cause mine came with a new blade in the box but not attached...
I just got this saw and I was very disappointed in the quality, at a cost of $325.00 I think it's over priced for a saw that will do a 45' on one side. Made in china, harbor fright quality. sent it back. I have the 10"makita night and day quality, love that one.
I own this saw and this is trash the only pro on this saw is the lightweight. Cheap made pieces, the plastic handle for move the angles its terrible thats trash don't buyit .
Clueless amateur, scary too, should not be operating machinery. But glad I saw this, looks like a piece of junk. Was going to do a HD rental on this first before making buy decision but now I wouldn't even rent.
*This is my first 10 inch **MyBest.Tools** sliding compound miter saw. This saw is Awesome!!! to say the least!!! Works great!!!*

Just bought one thanks so much for the review and I think makita have the best power tools but that’s just my opinion
The black extensions have support blocks

How do you unlock it from the original position?
Could you also show how to change the saw blade?
Heyo! Have you got any updates for me (us) on the LS0815, after owning (using?) it for about a year?
Always buy a Slide Compound Mitre Saw with the handle in a line above the saw blade , it's better no tilt saw blade, and engine with softstart.
This was super helpful. Thank you very much for posting this
Glad it was helpful!
How much extended dimensions is it?
The depth

I guess no updates.
Good review, the price ?
Happy that board didn't come up pop u in face... You have not been cutting long I can tell the way you hold the material when you cut

I dont think a sliding square is accurate enough to check the accuracy of a mitre saw cut.
I agree. Sliding squares are pretty poor for setting up precision work.
