This one wouldn't work on Switch, the controllers are too small for some instruments and would break immersion. They don't even have speakers. Speaking of, why the heck did Nintendo not add speakers to Switch controllers??? They were wonderful on Wii remotes and on the wii u gamepad.

When I was a kid at GameStop with my cousin, I had picked two Wii games off the shelf. I was going to take one of them home, WarioWare Smooth Moves, or Wii Music. I picked Wii Music, as we were walking out, my cousin told me that he had heard Wii Music was really bad.
Sometimes, I wonder how much a different decision there would've affected me as a person.

WarioWare Smooth Moves is one of my favourite Wii games period.
As a young kid, I LOVED Wii music. To be fair, I was big into music already and the improvisation ability. I'd spend hours in the "preview your instruments" section trying to improv some fun rhythms. Plus, learned a lot of new instruments. I was the target demographic and I loved it.

The most enjoyable part of this game for me was selecting the cheerleader “instrument” and then flailing my arms around while my mii kept screaming
I actually really enjoyed Wii Music. As a musician, I didn't take it for a educational route but just to have fun, which I had many a laugh with my siblings. From attempting to get good scores on the mini games to just going ham on some of the...bizarre instruments (karate?), I have good memories of Wii music. People crap on this game and yes it's not great, but I enjoyed my time with it.

Most ambitious crossover of all time
Wii Music might not be the best game, but as a child I had plenty of fun playing it with my siblings and figuring out all of the asinine instrument combinations we could come up with and fighting over how the album would look. The nostalgia for this one is strong for me, and it will always be among my favorites titles for the system for the hours of fun I got with my brothers and sisters. I think the good and simple entertainment you could get out of the experience when playing with others is Wii Music’s most charming point.

Playing the drums in Wii Music using the balance board was legit weird fun. “September” by EW&F was the shit.

The drums were weirdly deep. Doing all the different drum lessons was challenging and cool and it does show some of the different rhythmic patterns used in different styles of music.

Me and my brother used to really enjoy Wii music when it came out. Granted we were pretty young at the time, but we had hours of fun creating songs and messing around with the album cover creator.

I love that song, and I've played both versions of Majora's Mask, and I've beaten both, the n64 with my dad's help, when I was a kid, and by myself, when it came out again on the 3ds. It's also my favorite Zelda game of all time, next to Ocarina Of Time, Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, Skyward Sword, and Spirit Tracks.

Got this game from a comic store yesterday, decided to play it today. Honestly just as good as I remember. It's quite fun, the songs are bops, and Sebastion is even more terrifying than I remembered. Will say I'm still extremely confused about how to play most of the gameplay.

Remember Konami's Rock Revolution? It was basically Rock Band, but with bad covers of) songs, no vocals, cheaper peripherals, and half the songs that Rock Band 2 or Guitar Hero WT had. It came out exactly five days before Wii Music.
I just find it weird that nobody remembers that game but we still remember Wii Music.

When I was a kid in primary school, my music teacher brought in his Wii with Wii music for music class and taught us about rhythm and about different musical instruments with it. It was the best thing ever to play the Wii during school. While Wii music isn’t the best game I do have fond memories with it.

My daughter when she was 7, 8 and 9 years old absolutely love this wii music. It was easy to pick up and play for families. And really that's what games are all about is if they are fun for you.

Dude, I freaking LOVE Wii Music. It was the main reason i got into VGM and I would not be the same person without it. I really want a sequel with better song selection (especially with more Nintendo songs), a music creation tool, more minigames, and just better everything. Or better yet, just re-release the Mario Paint Composer in a Wii Music box.
