  • Another forgotten runningback. Foreman was dynamic as a runner and a receiver. Foreman was also pretty elusive; known best for his spin move. Had almost 6,000 rushing yards, over 3,000 yards, and 76 touchdowns along with being a 1x All Pro.

One of my favorites growing up. Loved that slashing/cutback style

My favorite viking, I even used the spin move to my advantage. This clip brings me back to my roots of NFL football exposure. Chuck was a great competitor and team player.

The spin move is very effective in both the football and basketball.

Sounds like Chuck Foreman should be credited for creating the West Coast offense.

The Vikings offense at the time was definitely the start of the West Coast offense Bud Grant was highly overlooked as a coach as well as Chuck Foreman

Bud Grant and Jerry Burns started it a decade before Bill Walsh did out in San Francisco

If the Vikings had won any of those Superbowls, Chuck Foreman is in the HOF

He's one of my favorites from the 70's to watch I missed as a kid. Him Dexter Bussey, Otis Armstrong, Delvin Williams There was a number of RBs that had A FEW 1,000 yrd seasons or Close but didn't pan out for whatever reason. Chuck Foreman was the exception. John Brockington, Terdell Middleton, Tony Reed, , Mike Thomas, Terry Miller, Greg Pruitt, Joe Cribbs,, Joe Delaney, Duane Thomas, Kevin Long, Roland Harper, Lyndell Mitchell, Joe Washington, Jim Otis, Mercury Morris, Lawrence Mccutcheon, more. I liked Foreman's style , Thnx to your channel I get a chance to go back in time and catch up with all I missed

You had Joe Delaney on your list there. He only played one full season in 1981. 8 games in '82 with the strike and injuries cutting his season short. He then tragically died the following summer when he drowned trying to save two boys. Delaney didn't know how to swim, but still jumped in when he saw the boys in trouble. They survived. He didn't.

@@Enigma71559 Late reply but yeah I remember the Joe Delaney story. I used to collect football cards back then was young and was very excited about him as a player. He had some electric runs. Then the next year..... R.I.P. He was special as a player and a Human Being.

Delving Williams who pissed Shula off by smoking on the sideline, Shula put an end to that quick. Terry Miller had that good rookie year and was basically gone after that.

Great running back . The 3 Super Bowl losses hurt his and others legacy I’m afraid .

Probably the most overrated running back of the 70s. Look at his yards per carry in his career. His longest rush is 51 yards. I’d never want his autograph even if he was at my local scheels signing them.

It depends. If you're a Packers fan then yes he was definitely overrated. Lol
