  • In our society, physical appearance often holds more sway than personality, even though we might not like to admit it. It's an unfortunate reality that people frequently judge others based on their looks before they have the chance to get to know their character. This is not to say that looks are the only thing that matter, or that they should matter more than they do, but rather, it's a commentary on the significant role that aesthetics play in our social interactions and perceptions.

Why they change the interface to ''hide'' the comments? It matters for the people who never had it, idk. You can be standardly attractive since know you can do diverse things to have a certain result, but the energy!

This doesn't mean looks are everything, but it highlights how much appearances matter in how we interact and see each other.

Could you do a video on why some people that fall into average or sub category still are seen as ,"attractive" when you interact with them? Looking at someones photo is one thing but seeing them in person is very different.

Yes, I could, however, the whole discussion becomes subjective. My main argument, as I have expressed in the videos, is that physical attractiveness is just as important as someone's personality. This might seem shallow to some, but it's a reality that often gets overlooked. It's a prevalent issue in today's society. A majority of people dismiss this truth, perhaps because it's uncomfortable to confront or it contradicts our idealistic views on love and relationships. Nonetheless, it remains an undeniable part of human nature and interpersonal relationships.

I think looks is extremely important because when you cold approach someone it's like a 2 phase test, beauty and psersonality. If you approach as an ugly guy personality will have zero effect since you never had a chance to even talk but if you live with the person or meet with friends then looks doesn't matter that much and your chances brutally improve if your personality is interesting and you also happen to be rich/powerful. Ugly guys can overcome ugliness but they have to work hard to expand their social network of friends and have some luck too to be in the right place at the right time and meet people organically.

So, modern society has severed many connections and made people overly atomized. Grueling work shifts, extra "self-improvement" work, and self-absorption have destroyed our ability to build strong social connections and allow people to express the attractiveness of their personalities. We turn into beautiful airheads who only react to appearances because we are too busy and tired to live real lives and have real social connections.

These is how you know: do you often catch people staring at you, do you feel like people treat you better, do women approach you( even though this is rare except if its older or average women)

@PAULOSOPHICAL it is just plain vain. You are honest about grading a person's face from 1-10 , yes you are honest in that. But people's beauty go beyond appearance. It's how you love, how you treat people, how you carry yourself, what you stand for, that's more important than beauty. Most us us are ordinary people, so it's just a waste of time rating your face. Most of us will never be supermodels. Look at keanu reeves he s smoking hot, he had every kind of beautiful women but he chose alexandra grant, not your typical beauty, but kept the handsome keanu reeves smitten more than charlize theron.

@@Anna-wh5pd My main point is to challenge those who wrongly believe that looks don't matter. The idea of ignoring the importance of appearances is unfair. This view must be questioned because it goes against human nature and social standards. This belief can even lead to confusion and miscommunication.
      1. The goal is destigmatize our notion of beauty, but recognize that it is integral to our lives.
      2. Not everyone is attractive AND THAT’S OK. But appearance can be enhanced.
      3. Overvaluing beauty, however, can cloud judgement.
      4. Understanding the nuance between Pt. 1, 2, & 3 is very important.
