- After living in Toronto for several years, musician Adam Ruzzo left the city to travel across Canada, before returning to Ontario to build a log cabin and live off grid. Take a tour of this beautiful off grid log cabin and his 2005 Chevy Astro Van Conversion.

I'm building my cabin in the woods in BC mountains, the most rewarding, exciting, inspiring thing I've ever gotten into, absolute joy. I rush to it every weekend, one step at a time, just a matter of time until it's my fulltime home. Really appreciate others whom do the same. Best wishes.

This is the way man was meant to live. Not in jam packed cities and neighborhoods. When you’re in and around nature it brings a different kind of peace to you.
I think that it's funny whenever I see parks in Toronto that have the slogan "a city within a forest" I thought to myself, " It would be a city within a forest if more of the natural wonders were left within it." What an interesting city that would be.
So proud of you and your accomplishments and wonderful skills.

I agree. It's the fresh air, the green plants, the silence and bird singing. It's just..Calm. I'd do anything to have this. I'm stuck in the city with a neighbour harrassing. This is hell. I'm so happy this guy escaped.

Once the woods are in your blood and you live in a self-built house, there is no turning back. Adam has done a great job. When I was little, back in the late 50's we used to camp in Algonquin park when we lived in St. Kitts. There is a photo of me around age 2-3 standing in the middle of the forest on a dirt road. Although I have no direct memory of it, I think that is where my journey began. Now a fellow woodland self-built cabin dweller in Wales. Sans bears.

I was here for the tiny house but the music was such a bonus. Someday(or maybe later) I'd know how to properly use a saw and hammer and build our cozy house with my family.

Awesome cabin, I envy someone who can cut down a bunch of trees, mill that wood and build a house. You are living true freedom the way man was meant to live in this world. I am a drummer, I would love to build something small off grid, just enough room for me, a dog, and 2 drum kits. I love your loft bedroom, I bet that's the best night sleep ever up there. Congrats man, that's one of the best cabins I have seen on you-tube.

First of all thankyou for your time on making this video. Your cabin looks very nice, kinda like cozy in a way, your idea and determination along with hard work is paying off, looks very nice. My problem was I kept adding on but got to no when to say enough. Noise pollution and big cities not for me, there is a different noise in the way back country, wind and breeze blowing through the pines. Being in solitude is like a whole other way of life. Look forward to more videos and music. Thankyou back country Colorado.
