With most stuff that is translated, its fun to be on the side of the spoken language and reading the subtitles for once. Seeing that, "Huh, they didn't translate that" or something. I notice it a lot with English shows, where what they say is not always the same as the subtitles or the subtitles just leave words out.
@@Mrmumudk he is very expressive in how he speaks, which i feel the translations dont really capture that well. but i do agree he doesnt really use slang.
Almost literally half of what that head chef was saying was slang or idioms, so they really had to change a lot with the subtitles. This makes me realize why Danish is hard to learn and understand for foreigners.
Yes yes. Hipster copenhagen are so real. If they set foot in Sønderjylland some small girl will beat them up for acting like a douchebag københavner. Long live sønderjylland! Og gud bevare Danmark!
u say it's crazy. but this is the average 20-22 year old danish persons from Thursday to saturday. Minus the food cus they blow all their money on alchohol.
th-cam.com/video/rdt2ENlmtzw/w-d-xo.html Check that Munchies episode too. Also in Copenhagen, just some other chef's. That episode is voted the episode with the most alcohol consumed ;)
I spend a lot of my days thinking about food, what to eat next, what to cook, but none of my friends are like that. Now I realise I should have become a chef and have chef friends...
Damiano is such a wonderful person! I've been to Enomania, such an amazing treat! I've also tried the man who trained Damiano, runs a place in the city of Ringsted, called "Italy Italy" it is... such a damn cozy and amazing place as well!
One of the best Chef's Night Out everrrrr! I'm Canadian and I've got to go over and taste your drunk food. The food you serve looks amazing and delicious. Weird thought, lump fish here is about $5 but Russian caviar is about $150. You'd love our oysters and alot cheaper than Europe as well. We've got lots of places out in western Canada that have $1 per shuck nights
10:08 Oh shit I've actually gone camping with my parents on an island about 150 km north of Bordeaux and we picked Oysters right off of the shore and ate them on the beach. What a coincidence right?
Baby J These guys use some slang yes, but that's not what I meant. That's just how their language has evolved. They don't pronounce certain letters in their words. Like the word for "girl" is "pige", they don't pronounce the G, they just say "pie". Might not make sense if you're not scandinavian but that's pretty much how it is. This is why all scandinavians can read danish but have a very hard time understaning it when it's spoken by a dane. Children in denmark learn to speak later than children in other countries because of this.
this was a really enjoyable video as a dane EDIT: although i feel the translations failed to express his energy and way of expressing himself, his energy is very similar to matt matthesons.
I been on many nights out like this with chefs it's VERY dull for a couple of hours then bonkers mainly because Danes don't go to the pub every night and keep it for the weekend
Love the video, makes me want to go back to Copenhagen and get some beers and wines with people like this. What style of wineglass are they using 07:43, I really like it.
I'm clearly alone in thinking that Munchies finds the most...unique characters for its episodes. Are normal chefs not into it or are you going for a particularly seedy feel?
Haha, grand old lads. good fun and good episode. Very Danish of them stocking up on kiosk bought beer regularly throughout the evening, as well having a sausage and some bread when drunk lol. ( I am Danish myself btw).
I like how the subtitles are so formal compared to what he says
All the swearing and cursing is just gone haha
for sure soo many ffs's that was taken out of the subtitles

i almost dont want to watch this now that i know all the cussing and slang is neutered....
As a dane, I can tell that the subtitles are so simplified, but great episode
Enig
Haha same, when he said "Den sidder lige i skabet" I thought to myself, you just can't translate that.
@@runstygge slam dunk
mathiaspoulson i mean, danes say a lot that you cant translate... like “Hygge”
@@runstygge "Right on the money" is used in exactly the same way. One of the more easily translatable sayings.
The subtitles doesn't do his slang justice
The truth has been spoken!
Sandt
That's the problem with translating slang. It never does.
zCausper he is not talking in slang at all, wtf
@@Mrmumudk he is very expressive in how he speaks, which i feel the translations dont really capture that well. but i do agree he doesnt really use slang.

As a swede, these subtitles where definitely necessary.
Its so hard cause you fkers pronounce everything so weird and eat letters in the word
Can't fool me with the mustache and the made up gibberish language, Harry Potter.
hi
LMFAO
I swear, Danish is a language... seriously.
Liar they were just blabbing
+PartiallyDrunkHoovy yes mostly, but they were saying some real things today 😉
These subtitles cut out all of his slang and curse words. Shame.
I had a genuine laugh out loud when he mentioned the Mother Theresa statue. 5:09
the danes showing us how drinking in public should be like
i love how they managed to turn "fuck it lets deep fry it" into quality food, top lads
No lie, he was and still is a good friend of mine. Raz, is an awesome dude, and now, ironically fellow chef. Love this guy
"not by serving ants"
lmao shots fired
Europe episodes are so much better, and the people are so real over here.
if tits are in the way there is no reason to go around them
Yes yes. Hipster copenhagen are so real. If they set foot in Sønderjylland some small girl will beat them up for acting like a douchebag københavner. Long live sønderjylland! Og gud bevare Danmark!
Goebbels Bear Hahahaha maybe that's not entirely true, but I do agree. They definitely wouldn't be welcome in Sønderjylland.
Actually they wouldnt be welcome in any part of Jylland (except maybe Aarhus- and even thats a stretch)
Suncica Cinglak Of course they would be welcome in Jylland. Just not accepted as a part of soceity.
Fuck me, I always make the mistake of watching these episodes when I'm hungry...
These Denmark episodes they make me want to move there all the episodes are so fun and care free
loved this episode good stuff
I love how it doesn't get dark until 10 PM in that part of the world in the summer.
they were drinking from morning till night!! this danes are crazyy!!
u say it's crazy. but this is the average 20-22 year old danish persons from Thursday to saturday. Minus the food cus they blow all their money on alchohol.

Welcome to Denmark the land where we start dribling at age 14
Viking Blood FTW ;)
@@based9069 Well I started at age 12 Lmao
some of the chefs can not cook well at all while drunk, but this dude killed it!!
This is just so classic Copenhagen, well done
I'm thoroughly impressed with how much these guys can eat and drink. That's living life; cheers Chef.
I spend a lot of my days thinking about food, what to eat next, what to cook, but none of my friends are like that. Now I realise I should have become a chef and have chef friends...
Great episode, Scandinavia life
this isnt scandinavian life. stop fooling yourself.
yes bro
I had to come watch this one to refresh myself on what a good chefs night out episode is.
do all chefs like getting fucked up and wasted like this
That's the only way you stay sane in a professional kitchen.
no... but all the piece of shit lowlife losers who don't know their limit do
Mads Thodsen haven't thought about it that way
But something you also gotta take into account with these guys, is that they are danish and us danes like to get fucked up :)
Amen to that!
This is one of the better Chef's Night Out. Well done!
One of the best shows yet!!
looks delicious!!
spurgt
didn't expect to see u here
i love this channel! :D
@BrianFromDenmark: Ved ik hvorfor, men ham "hovedpersonen" i videoen minder mig faktisk om dig😉
Brian det er godt

I feel like the guy had a great personality but a lot of it was lost in the translations :(
Holy shit that turbot dish. When he was describing it, it just kept getting more and more intricate. Sounds amazing
beautiful....just beautiful
Give it up for Denmark!
This has got to be the episode where they visited the most food places. Beasts! haha
This why I love Chefs and danes. This is my #1 Chefs night out
These guys are awesome
Im proud of being Danish now
Always be proud to be Danish
Ad! Nordmenn er best

im not a foodie or anything but these are really fun to watch
I feel the same way my man hahaha
Nice entombed t shirt!
I really enjoyed this episode, they seem so cool to hang out with and the language sounds fun :D
Thanks for taking me to "Explore" other Culinary Worlds. Keep posting, I'll keep watching (US - Midwest).
What a strange language. It's like every word is being said halfway or consists of just one syllable per word.
right?!?!
For MOTHER DENMARK
That's what they're doing, they don't finish their words.
oh. so they are speaking in slang? that makes more sense. ..somewhat..
Baby J These guys use some slang yes, but that's not what I meant. That's just how their language has evolved. They don't pronounce certain letters in their words.

That first pasta dish looks *chefs kiss*
There's a brothel around 15 meters to the right from Harry's place. Bon appetit!
such a great episode
this was one of the funniest ones you've done! I'm dying. so great.
half of us in 2020 couldn't live half as good as this. Good video!
Why is there no Chefs Night Out with Matty Matheson?
There is one where the chefs of focus go to his restaurant
+Artemisia494 which one is it
edwin asas The Momofuku one I think
Because boy got a hearattache and then he got sober
I love chef's night outs!! And all the videos on this channel
I cracked up at the bit about Mother Theresa's statue lol
Props to the guy with the Entombed shirt🔥
I was there, at the airport, two days ago; too bad I didn't have the time to go anywhere.
Super fedt, nøj hvor ville jeg gerne med de drenge på restaurant rundtur 🇩🇰👍🏻💥💪🏻
this was a really enjoyable video as a dane

Just back from Copenhagen, awesome place. Great ep
how can they eat so much un only a day!!
Danes are vikings, we Can Eat an Elephant!
Vikings didn´t eat elephants :333
But we can!
one evening more like.
rofl :D
these guys know how to really enjoy themselves.
I been on many nights out like this with chefs it's VERY dull for a couple of hours then bonkers mainly because Danes don't go to the pub every night and keep it for the weekend
no matter how often i hear the danish language. i can never get used to it. it always sounds so weird...
I love denmark, and miss it so much
Kjøbenhavn is on my list of restaurants I wanna go to.. I live like 20 mins from it, so I'll come back with a review lol.
lol didn't realize it was the name of the restaurant, so confused about how the spelled it
So how was it? xD
This guys quenelles are to fucking die for.
This seems like an amazing tour to have been on. Goddamn, I'm slightly jealous.
Seriously enjoyed this episode. Would party with him. Keep it up!
That’s a laugh comming from the heart right there 11:01
Great episode . These guys made proper drunk food lol!
Oh, I so wanna go back to Copenhagen.
Please make more of these in Denmark and Europe!
what a bizar language is danish :0 it sounds like dutch, german, french, norwegian/ scandinavian and a little english
well thats pretty much what it is ;) or mostly scandinavian,
Just search for "danish language" and "more danish language", and see a norwegian comedy shows take on the danish language. (;
That subliminal stab at Redzepi's Noma at the very beginning ;) I see what you did there, Scandinavian Harry Potter...
i got drunk just watching this guys go at it.
being able to cook proper food must be a fucking blessing, time to challenge myself more in the kitchen!
It's the end of the day and so far I've eaten 2 bananas and scrambled eggs.
best episode for a long time.
Love the video, makes me want to go back to Copenhagen and get some beers and wines with people like this. What style of wineglass are they using 07:43, I really like it.
3:14 thats some next level flipping mate
Awesome episode!
Ha hvor fedt, det er sgu da Jonathan Joller A. tidligere sanger i Hatesphere! \m/ Så dig live i Flensborg på To the Nines tourneen i 2009!
Cocio og flæskestæg sandwich - "To get some greasy food".... Virkelig?
Deep frying the Peking duck? That's the equivalent in turning traditional Italian pasta into a noodle soup dish.
If it tastes good who gives a fuck.
Holy shit I have to try that turbot dish sometime my god that looked too insane
I'm clearly alone in thinking that Munchies finds the most...unique characters for its episodes. Are normal chefs not into it or are you going for a particularly seedy feel?
I think that they look for "unique" cooks but most cooks are a bit insane. You need to be if you are going to be a good cook :)
dude Munchies belongs to Vice, of course they're gonna find people that are out of the norm
5:14 Mother Theresa strangling a child lol
To the dude in the Entombed shirt, right on brother 🤘
Haha, grand old lads. good fun and good episode.
Very Danish of them stocking up on kiosk bought beer regularly throughout the evening, as well having a sausage and some bread when drunk lol. ( I am Danish myself btw).
Those are hellish amount of foods in just one night!
With all the episodes featuring Danes, this is a good representation of how much we actually drink
Excellent! Full on!
It really can't get more hipster than this loool
Ligner en konge aften! Alt for fedt indslag
the food looks delicious but man those guys are rowdy!
Most danish guys are like that. No shit! it's just our culture
Easily the best videos you put out theese are great more ofe theese!!
Isn’t 150 k north of bordeux land?
Great video, I still haven't been to Musling or Kjøbenhavn, I'll have to get around to that. :)
These foreign episodes seemed more genuine. The local US Chefs seem to do it to look cool, seems hyped to me.
Great episode! Copenhagen seems to be the place to eat in denmark. Munchies needs more chefs night outs like this in european cities^^
“Don’t argue with the Italians” exactly
McLovin picked up danish and became an incredible chef
