Thanks Albert. Your rubber band method saved my bacon. I had to reduce the height of a stack and had no room for a strap between the esc and frame. I had only the wider RC airplane bands. They worked great and eliminated the need for a battery pad because part of the band rests between the battery and frame. Nice and grabby.

    Hi Albert,
I just want to say that I use the wide rubber bands (from broccoli) by putting them on my lipo batteries. I use one rubber band and simply put it on length-ways on the battery and the battery does not slide around or slip once the battery strap is tightened down. This makes the battery much more secure, is cheap and does not insulate the battery allowing airflow around the unit. It might look a bit silly...but it works!!
By the way, I think your videos are informative, helpful and enjoyable:)

I started using rubber bands after watching your videos and love them! I crash all the time and not one ejected battery.

I’ve had good luck with this method too, I think I first saw you do it. I use the extra wide rubber bands.

Lightest tensioned velcro strap I could find from the baby hawk was just over 1gram. 2 small rubber bands 0.2g. Easy decision!

That works great👍 I love that, rubbery white thin foam, they always ship quads in. In cobination with both of these I'll still find a way to eject my lipo and rip the power solder pads off😆

Use a zip tie to secure the power lead! Rubber bands are not as secure in crashes.
