    Have owned a 2018 Gen 3 S1000rr for 3 years.
    Favourite thing:
    - How confidence inspiring the bike is. Very easy to ride fast and compliments the rider.
    Least Favourite Thing:
    - Can't really think of any. If i had to nitpick, the sound of the full exhaust at low rpm's, when cruising around town, doesn't sound that smooth.

And the Carbon fiber parts are cheaper for that gen then the 20-24! I was buying carbon for my 24 and was like why is the belly fairing so much cheaper for a gen 3!

Great vid man! I agree 100% i started on a gsxr 750 and upgraded to a 2012 S1000RR. Traded that in for a 2016 five years ago and man, I absolutely LOVE my 2016 BMW. Like you, I've ridden the newer S1KRRs but they haven't made me feel like i need to sell my 16' and upgrade. I still plan on getting a 23' or 24' S1KRR but not as a replacement for my K46, more like to scratch that "I want a new bike" itch. The BMW is such a fun and easy to ride at a pretty high level bike, it's amazing. Plan on keeping mine for a long time!

I also have a 2021 s1000rr I can say for sure that it's an unreal piece of machinery. I started with a Honda cbr650r and it had no issues at all either for the 10k miles I put on it before upgrading. Two of the most important things for every bike someone owns are keeping your chain cleaned and lubed and tire pressure. I change my oil after each summer season, I live in Ohio so I can only ride comfortably during 5 months of the year practically.

I'm in the market for either a 2019+ S1000rr or Ducati V4 curious as to how you think they compare. Leaning more toward the Ducati because I've just always absolutely loved the way they look but willing to give the S1000rr a chance since everyone that owns them loves them. But according to research they seem pretty similar but unique in their own little ways with solid buyer satisfaction. Have always owned older liters (09 R1 & 11 ZX-10r) so either would be a very nice upgrade.

I have had a 2018 S1000R since new, completed 60,000km. Great bike. Inky issues have been water pump (very light misting on catalytic converter, replaced under warranty twice without hesitation), fork seal and fuel pump (intermittent hot start issue that was happening more often, replaced under warranty), cam chain tensioner (replaced with the silver variant) and carbon buildup around the injectors (easy fix). Service costs have been ok. Bike is fabulous, mainly back road scratching and track days. Test ridden V2 and V4 Streetfighters, Tuono V4, and new s1000r, but not being stingy the small improvement is not worth the changeover. BMW Motorad Australia has been great - the level of support is a very very strong factor and makes it likely I will stick with BMW. Perhaps a M1000R…

LOVED mt 2022, i put $12k+ into it between getting every carbon fiber part made for it, exhuast, tuning, forged wheels and performance parts it was such an amazing bike then a truck hauling horses cut me off and totalled the bike, broke a ton of bones died then spent a couple days in a coma. I finally just picked up a new 2024 s1krr and already started the upgrade journey, spent 4k in carbon fiber got forged wheels, arrow exhaust, raceworx thumb brake, got a tuner for after my break in is done, next on the list is brembo brakes. Best bikes ever made i love it! The cruise control is so nice, the quick shifter/blipper are amazing and heated grips where i live are a must!

    I had a 21 S1KRR
Brentuned stage 2/full Akra/po8 air filter /IAT relocation and was an amazing bike
Has a few tuning issues and engine faults come up on the 6.5” dash every now and again. The issue with tuning K67s is the warranties and BMW denying claims of tuned. I ended up selling my K67 and picked up a used 16 speed triple S. I’ve had 2 different CBR1KRRs an 09 Repsol and 17 blade and you’re definitely right a tuned K67 is day and night faster/quicker than any CBR1KRR.

Seems hit or miss on the new ones, have friends that never had problems, and quite a few other friends that has dealt with all the recalls and factory mechanical failures. Anyways we need to link bro its overdue!

    I love ur vid !!!
Only thing I’ll say is !!! Noobs shouldn’t be 1000’s !!! Unless they have 5 years of street and traffic LA style experience! I never want to see any of my brother and sister riders hurt !! I rode street freeway and canyon riding and now I stunt !!! And I’ve lost a lot homies to 1000s . Besides that u gave me the confidence to buy bmw 1000!!! And my first 1000 was 05 r1 and that muther had power in all gears and all rpm range !!! 190mph is the fastest I gone on the freeway and preloaded all bumps for continuous speed!! I never rode on closed courses !!! So thing always coming ur way , specially bad drivers !!!
But I love all u guys that ride !!! It’s in our bloods !! Bike life for ever ! Just respect the beast

Similar sentiment as you. 2015 in the Motorsport colors. Bren Tune stage 2, oil changed every 3,000 miles or less, depending up riding. The bike always started, always ripped, always looked fast and good, always got attention, always admired and adored by others, and always did what I asked. It was comfortable for mid-distance (500 miles) and faster than any bike I ran up against. It’s safe and dangerous, depending upon what’s between your ears. Still wish I had it……😢

I had a 04 and a 07. I would stick to the 17+ models of the cbr1k if you go that route, they make more power than the older ones and more reliable with the refinement. I dealt with oil leaks, and stator failures.

I think its worth it to get the 1k if you are going to keep the bike for a while. The r6 is arguably one of the best track bikes so it really depends on what you want. Absolute power and speed, or some really good power still but more maneuverable through the corners. The r6 will do high 150s the s1k will run close to 200mph

    • @FastFlowKC
      @FastFlowKC  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

If you have no experience be smart about it, and start off on a smaller bike. Its good to get cheaper less bigger bikes to learn on, that way if you do drop it you are not dropping a 15-20k$ bike
