Tbh it’s not really that serious as everyone makes it seems some ppl like Xbox better and some ppl like PlayStation better it doesn’t really matter as long as ur happy with ur console
Most people know that there is a battery charger for it (I would know I play ps) but we think it’s absurd that it’s 2020 and you still have to go out to a store a buy a battery charger
People still forget the Xbox's controller can use a rechargeable battery. But kinda a bummer you'll have to buy it separately. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I personally think the AA's are a plus, there's been multiple times when ive had multiple people using different controllers and 1 dies and there's already a controller using the USB or u just don't want a long wire running across you living room and u can just throw in some AA batteries. Also lithium batteries go bad. Nice to be able to buy a new $15 battery in 5 years whereas my ps5 will either only last a couple hours or I have to buy a new one. This is especially nice since Xbox one controllers work on series x so ppl could potentially have 15+ year old controllers still relevant.
Imma clear this up once and for all. Any device you buy that has a built in battery has a lifespan. Phone, tablet, controller, fitbit etc. Even if the hardware still works fine and the condition of the overall product is good, the dead battery means you'll have to either pay for a repair or buy a new one. The flexibility to either use disposable batteries or to easily add first/third party rechargeable batteries are a consumer friendly move that only becomes apparent 3-4 years down the line. That's why all your old ps3 controllers only have about 20 mins before being plugged in again.
You know that not only can you replace the battery, but upgrade it? The ps4 controller has a 1000mAh battery which lasts 5-6 hours for me. I’m 14 and I’m able to replace the battery (it’s pretty easy look it up) and the new battery is 2200mAh which more than doubled the battery life. All you need is 1 screwdriver and a replacement battery off Amazon.

Depends. If you have a pc don’t get an Xbox and if you don’t get a ps5. I would just say get a ps5 cause that is what I prefer and think is better but I don’t care what you get as long as you’re happy
you don't need an "official headset". XBOX works with ANY headset with the dongle, and with the Series X and the merging of Windows and XBOX, you may be able to use a bluetooth head set. Headsets that are xbox compatible will come with the dongle.
Calvin Null I’m sure we can all agree the PS5 controller is best. Here is the problem. I’ve had both Xbox controllers and PlayStation controllers buttons stop working. Now you can’t tell me those PS5 controllers won’t cost a lot.
NEWxGODz Gamer Same with the Xbox controller lol. We’ve actually seen a person play a game hands-on with the PS5 controller, and he said it was a great controller.
It’s funny how this time around, Sony is going with a completely new controller design, while Microsoft is using the same design. The opposite of the last generation.
imo the elite is the best design with paddles you can jump and crouch without taking your thumb off the sticks i turn off vibration and dont think ill like haptic feedback
MacIzer I’m sure we can all agree the PS5 controller is best. Here is the problem. I’ve had both Xbox controllers and PlayStation controllers buttons stop working. Now you can’t tell me those PS5 controllers won’t cost a lot.

@@XCELcart tbh no. Haptic feedback had already existed in microsoft's controllers since 2013. Its called impulse triggers. No one hyped that tho. And rechargable batteries do exist in microsoft controllers and they last longer than ps controllers. No microphone sucks tho.
Its should make it seem like the controller is on when it isn't 😂 . Everyone at one point has given there sibling an off controller so it will be very useful
Imagine while playing Ghost of Tsushima on the PS5, while pressing R2 to pull the arrow back the pressure increases the more you pull back, like pulling a slingshot with your finger
1990s Haptic feedback (sometimes described as "force feedback") first entered game controllers in the late 1990s and is ubiquitous today. Haptic feedback is a mode of communication rather than a specific technology or application. It's nothing less than an entirely new way for machines and humans to communicate. heptic feedback waa invented in 1970s and been in mobiles phones from the 90s.....its nothing new
“The PS5 controller looks like if a Stormtrooper was condensed into a controller.” Another reason why I’ll wait for Sony to condense Darth Vader into a PS5. Black is the way to go. 😎
I haven’t even started watching the video (I’m stuck on the ads) and I already know they are going to praise the ps5 controller and dog on the Xbox controller
Yeap, didn't even mention the paddles on the xbox controller lol ill take paddles over haptic feedback any day. Guarantee people will just turn off the haptic feedback so they can remain competitive in online PvP games
@@teunvdkeur9615 we will see, haven't tried it yet but the switch does have some stunning features as far as rumble goes, looking forward to trying the haptic feedback. Also, I thought I heard they were making like custom headphones designed for your very own ears.
That microphone feature is truly next gen. Whether ny Gold headset died or I couldnt find the aux cord, nothing infuriated me more than not being able to communicate over some MP.
Why is everyone stressing over hearing buttons being pressed from the built in mic? It’s very likely they are going to implement some sort of AI that only outputs your voice. It’s already been seen before in PCs. It’s also integrated in some motherboards too.
I agree 100%. The fact that you can buy recharge packs to replace the AAs is a huge plus. The dualshock 4's battery that isn't removable, is a letdown new, and it becomes just straight up bad after years of recharging. It really makes a 60 dollar controller feel disposable.
@Sean MacGuire everyone knows that the xbox controllers are better than the playstation controllers because it has a better design you just like and prefer the playstation controller but dont go and say it is much better just because you like playstation controller over xbox
I mostly buy the Sony products because I grew up using them I was born playing PS2 and I was one of the first people who bought PS3 and I loved the psvr and I am waiting for the ps5
What people don't get about the xbox controllers having batteries is being able to fix it quickly. If your ps5 controller battery dies gotta do surgery or send it in. They should all come with removable recharging batteries is the best move going forward.
N Satheesan wait, that’s a headphone jack joke isn’t it? Why not say the same for Samsung who did the same thing to promote their wireless ear buds? Y’all exaggerate Apple and their antics.
RoboPowGaming nah. Just think it’s unfair that people make fun out of Apple for removing the headphone jack whereas Samsung doesn’t. Exactly what’s wrong with android fanboys. Toxic af.
@@omarmian4222 Microsoft calls it Direct Latency Input or DLI. It's a feature that enables the controller to send signals to your xbox much faster This means the moment you press a button on your series X controller the corresponding action on the console will be faster than a standard controller.
@@juniormynos9457 that literally happens now with ps4 games...xbox just uses buzzwords to make their tech sound better....the difference between the latency xbox providing will not be visible to us...play ps4 games you move soon as you press the button
Yeah, it might be the time where the technology they talk about finally becomes less gimmicky but idk yet. The things they talk about are cool, for sure but I can see it being like motion controls and HD rumble in the eyes of some people, just things that are kind of there and don't make a huge difference in gameplay. I think the price of the controller (I have heard rumors of it being ~80 dollars) is gonna be a make a or break for it. I think the xbox controllers will probably be the same price they are now, if not slightly more expensive.
I feel like the haptic triggers will be just like the when the touch pad was shown on the ps4 controller Everybody thought it was cool and that it would make games so much better but it honestly is just used as a button now
I wouldn’t rely much on the idea of haptic feedback replacing rumble. Haptic feedback is a Taptic Engine inside a device which relies on software to tell it how to act or feel under different user inputs. The reason why I wouldn’t say it’s a game changer for the controller is because the most recent implementation of this technology is 3D Touch. A feature most people have never even heard of or don’t find a use for, while most of you could say it’s the software that makes it useless it’s actually not easy to tell apart from a normal ping. I wouldn’t get obsessed over a feature such as haptic feedback, but only time will tell if the feature will make the controller better.
@_@ all of those are haptic feedback, i think the marketing is just trying to emphasise that it is capable of doing more than just rumble (predictable feedback vibration). So instead of that same old vibration we always get before, we get variations of intensities. And i think more motors than 2.
@@xXDeAthLyShaDoWXx Agreed, I presumed it was people not knowing what they are talking about... including the video creator and possibly sonys marketting department embarrassingly...
You really have to keep in mind that third party developers aren't going to make use out of console exclusive gimmicks like haptic feedback, because they know it's not a good use of resources. With the Xbox One's rumble triggers, they were cool but after 2014 not many third party games made any use of them. Plus, it's just going to drain the batteries more.
I have the xbox elite controller and it is awesome. It feels solid and is great in your hands . Also the battery life lasts like 30 hours of gameplay, it just never dies!
Imagine being in the middle of an online game and ur batteries die and instead of being able to put it on charging real quick and start playing again u have to find batteries and replace them
These PS4 players are idiots. The only reason Xbox still has battery powered controllers is so players can take out their battery pack and replace them with more powerful versions or simply use standard batteries. PlayStation doesn’t get that option and once the battery pack goes they have to buy a whole new controller instead of replacing the battery pack or using batteries.
The built in mic is a no sell on my front. I like the idea of it. But the fact that everyone in the house will be able to hear and be annoyed by team chatter is off putting.
@Donald Nguyen Yeah but I’m meaning that it looks weird now but in like a couple of years it will be normal. Just like the PS4 controller 7 years ago it looked weird but know it seems the normal.
Fun Fact the first iteration of D-Pad wasn’t on the NES controller it was on a Game&Watch handheld created by Nintendo specifically the Donkey Kong one which folds like a DS
The AA batteries thing to me makes sense, people still knock it but we have all been through the (MY CONTROLLER DIED) situation, it takes 10 secs to swap out batteries versus getting off and letting your controller recharge!!
@@Cinnamontoastcrunch1029 haptic feedback are like more complex vibrations. If you're driving on pavement then switch to dirt, you'll feel the difference. If you're shooting a gun then there's an explosion, you'll feel the difference between the two. So it's just a fancy version of normal vibrations
Cinnamon Toast Crunch I know that ps4 had vibration... but that’s not haptic feedback. Haptic feedback is more precise vibrations to make, for example driving on road and grass vibrate different in the controller. People are going crazy over this haptic feedback being in ps5 when Xbox and other consoles had it already in their previous consoles. Ps5 actually dead last.
I’ve had the same 4 rechargeable batteries since the 360 and they STILL last forever compared to my ps4 controller and I can just switch them out whenever and be ready to go again. It’s all about options 👌👌👌
Crunchg111 7 how the hell can you act like batteries is a good thing in a controller? It makes and already cheap controller even cheaper and people don’t care because Xbox has always done it, get out of the past.
Huh Huh there is something called rechargeable batteries You can get one that lasts 30 hours a charge Which is miles batter then the ps4 controller Which last only 4 hours or less
@@huhhuh364 Crunchg aint lying, I still use the same rechargeable batteries that I bought back in 2014, they still get around 25 hours a charge. I really hope the new Sony controllers last longer than 5-6 hours on charge, cause most of the time I end up just hooking up my 20' USB to it so it doesn't die. Huge fan of the batteries.
@@huhhuh364 I don't really know what makes you think an internal battery is better. I play on PC now and I also use rechargeable batteries in my wireless mouse. It's better because they hold charge better, are much cheaper and easier to replace than a whole controller when the battery dies, and if your battery is low while gaming its just a quick swap for a full charge instead of plugging in for a few hours.
Im just glad to see Sony still has the same D-pad. I have never used a better d-pad for fighting games than the PlayStation controller. And I'm also glad to see they still have the same analog stick placement. As I've never liked the placement Xbox uses.
@Hazey_77 Well I've had the same DS4s for 6-7 years playing all day every day and they're fine. Meanwhile my buddy doesn't game much and his Xbox one controllers are failing.
@Hazey_77 Let me put it like this. If I throw my DS4 against the wall it'll be fine (I've seen it happen). I feel like (although I haven't tried it) if I throw a Xbox one controller against the wall it would fall apart/break.

I find the controllers with the swappable batteries more reliable due to fact that over time batteries start to lose charge.
I agree 100%. The fact that you can buy recharge packs to replace the AAs is a huge plus. The dualshock 4's battery that isn't removable, is a letdown new, and it becomes just straight up bad after years of recharging. It really makes a 60 dollar controller feel disposable.

I feel like the haptic triggers will be just like the when the touch pad was shown on the ps4 controller
Everybody thought it was cool and that it would make games so much better but it honestly is just used as a button now
Mai Nyigguh what do you mean by that
I wouldn’t rely much on the idea of haptic feedback replacing rumble.
If ur playing shooters haptic feedback would b useless tbh maybe in free roaming gaming sit would b useful
Rumble is a type of haptic feedback..
@_@ all of those are haptic feedback, i think the marketing is just trying to emphasise that it is capable of doing more than just rumble (predictable feedback vibration). So instead of that same old vibration we always get before, we get variations of intensities. And i think more motors than 2.

Ritz Blitz This post was made by the PlayStation Gang
@@fkdaybreak3626 they dont understand this is literally better.
