We tried to give you additional information about so you can better understand what did driver do wrong.

I edit the raw footage (I need a couple of days for every video I make),I add the location of the incident, I add arrows that follow cars to make the situation easier to be seen. I zoom in and out so everyone can see the action and many other things.

I'm a firm believer in once you hit 65 you should be required to take a driving test every other year!!!
Unfortunately some senior citizens’ pride and sense of independence are in better shape than their driving skills. My dad had the good sense to recognize that his skills as a driver had eroded and would have me or my sister drive him places.
@mdf3530 hate to see that kind of thing happen!!! Sometimes I don't fault old people for driving (when they absolutely shouldn't be) as they sometimes don't have any family that live close to be able to help them out. They also can't register themselves on a shuttle service.

At least 50% of these could have been prevented by a simple thing called defensive driving. Just because you may have the right of way doesn't mean you'll get it.

this bro. i driver REALLY defensively because i dont trust the morons who somehow get licenses but my dad doesnt understand this. the other day he got mad at me for stopping at a green light when some idiot kids ran out infront of me. he wanted me to carry on because i had the right of way at my green light. this! In my country we call it a "3 F" rule, the 3rd of which says: "let the fool go". I am kind of amazed how many folks trying so hard to get in an accident instead of using all the time spent on this elsewhere with more use and joy....
@ around 31:30... This is one example of something that I'm noticing in these videos. Why, when you see a car losing control ahead of you, with plenty of time to slow down, don't you slow down? Or a vehicle entering an intersection ahead of you... slow down. You don't have to be right, you should be safe though. I think this is a symptom of a much larger problem.

07:55 From the left turn lane they moved to the right, without using their indicator., Being the vehicle actually changing lanes, the Tahoe driver is the one who is responsable, especially moving to the right, as it's the passenger side and a big blind spot. "came out of nowhere" means the Tahoe driver wasn't looking with the mirrors or doing an over the shoulder check before the move.

PSA: A flashing indicator signal light (blinker) does NOT give you automatic...or legal...right-of-way. The merging vehicle is REQUIRED to yield right-of-way.
PSA: Never tell them you have a dashcam until AFTER they lie to the police and/or file fraudulent insurance claims...then hit them with the truth bomb!
PSA: Try to always call out the plate number...the camera doesn't always pick it up correctly.
Couldn't agree more with everything you mentioned. Would also like to add that when someone is merging ON to a highway THEY have to watch for traffic not the other way around.
@@frantheman1287 eh, you might wanna double check your states laws. some states do actually require you to yield and allow them to merge for on ramps, it is also a crime to purposely stop someone from being able to merge in those states as well. that means if you speed up or slow down to not let them over you broke the law

5:50 "Old people gotta retake their driving tests." Actually, everybody should. I've seen incredibly crappy drivers of all ages. I could be mistaken (it's happened before - just ask my students) but I believe the youngest drivers, who have presumably taken a driving test in their recent past, are over-represented in fatal accidents.

I see it in my wife's family, her nieces are terrible drivers because they were never taught properly
You can't fix stupid no matter how much training you give a person and unless they have been to and passed a high -performance driving school they don't know how to drive anyway, I call them steerers not drivers. Was taught how to drive in a field by a winning stock car driver when I was eleven, so I have been driving for 63 years, no accidents, but I sure have avoided a lot of them. Hot Rod magazine proved this in the sixties by training five first time drivers and then tested them against, five steerers with twenty plus years of experience, on a racetrack. The experienced steerers wrecked every time they were confronted with a challenge and the youngsters with no experience passed with flying colors. Do you teach your students how to power slide, broad slide, do a four-wheel drift, spin a one eighty, spin a three sixty, how about a figure eight or do just teach them how to use the turn signal and how to steer on dry pavement? Besides when you mix in the drugs their taking, either prescription or street, same difference it is a waste of time trying to teach them anything.
@stephenwest798 I should have been clearer - apologies. I'm an English teacher, so my poor students learn about commas, citing sources, clauses, etc., etc. I think they would find learning about sliding & spinning immeasurably more exciting. 😁
@@bkitteh6295 And it has been demonstrated that those who have taken high performance driving lessons at least have the skills to avoid most accidents and not lose control of their cars while doing so, so whether or not your students would find it exciting or not is irrelevant, however they may find it lifesaving which I would think is important. 31:36 if all the drivers seen in the start had been looking far enough ahead, and that includes the cammer, they would have seen that traffic was stopped and taken appropriate measures to slow down. it didn't look like any of them did that, as there were no brakes used by the cammer, they all seemed to just plow into everyone else. the line of traffic that was stopped was long so there is no excuse for these collisions. in other words , when you are driving, look as far ahead as you can as most times you will see alot. i km or 2 or one mile or two. common sense and leave the cell phones OFF.

Some cameras only record for a few seconds when they detect motion. So I'm assuming once that car initially took off that it was no longer in the cameras range so it stopped? Either that or whoevers video it was just didn't want to include the rest of it.

I understand that most people are worried about those involved in an accident, but please do not do what the camer from the clip @13:51 did. If there is an accident, DO NOT block the only open lane of traffic to ask if everyone is okay. pull past the accident, pull over and go check on those involved. Why would you block all traffic for something as simple as the accident in that clip. Just from looking, if there are more than bruises I'd be surprised.
43:11 is not the trucks fault... yes the truck did pull out in front of him, but the car went to go around him and pressed on the gas pretty hard id assume, knowing the ground was wet also... then he spun tires and spun out... Not the Trucks falt.

I love these videos! watching the stupidity of other drivers makes me more aware of potential dangers. The best ones are when the person who caused the collision jumps out bitching at the other driver like they were the ones at fault.

Absolutely. The kind of fall she took doesn't require a vehivle (it looks like the vehicle didn't touch her at all, "just" hit her front wheel), any number of things could have caused a fall like that. I've seen plenty of video of people going over their handlebars (cracks, gravel, whatever).
Protect yourself from other peoples (and your own) stupidity, wear a helmet!

@5:56 - I’m 71 and in California, you have to retake the written test and the vision test every four or five years. Just had to retake them as they had suspended the requirement over the COVID-19 pandemic. So, in essence, I agree with you. Especially as we get to possibly 80, then have to retake the driving portion. Some of the reflexes slow down etc. Not to mention, something needs to be done about cellphones. They are getting out of control with the accidents the phone cause. Maybe the fine needs to be raised It is way to low. Maybe $1K usd for first offense, $2.5k for second and so on. There is no deterrent when you only get fined $75.
Add criminal charges to cellphone and texting. It's is pretty much the same as driving with impaired faculties. Top it off with suspended licenses and driving permits.

Oh, so snow advice:
When you are skidding, keep driving in the direction the car is shifting toward and you will be able to get much better traction. When you slam on your brakes and almost throw your steering wheel in the opposite direction, you're going to cause irreversible damage and spin out of control. So go the same direction at a steady speed and you will have better control.

yeah, thank god the camera was rolling... to prove the innocent guy in the red car actually had his signal on when he was attempting a left turn and the camera person overtook them on the left at a speed too fast for the conditions.

I love how a lot of these drivers that just witnessed crashes, just drive off, when a lot of crashes are due to medical issues. A lot of these look like people had strokes or blacked out. it’s crazy to see how many people do not care enough to even check

What’s ridiculous is that if you are getting a learners permit u can’t use a book, but drivers who have been on the road can take the test and use a book for their test. Most drivers need to go through the learners permit again

One of my good friends who worked on my patrol team told me about a call he got about a minor accident involving a city garbage truck. When he arrived on scene, he saw the garbage truck had backed into a car causing minor damage. There were SIX people laying on the ground, moaning they had been hurt in the "collision." It was the middle of summer so he walked around checking on the "victims." Then he suddenly jumped back and yelled "SNAKE!!!! ALL SIX "VICTIMS" JUMPED UP AND BEGAN RUNNING IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS SCREAMING! We all got a good laugh over that one.

1:40 This is why I tend not to immediately go when the light turns green. I wait for at least 2 to 3 seconds to see if there is an oncoming car. This has almost happened to me before but I was able to stop my car in time before getting hit.
2:50 This also happened to me. I had come across the roundabout. No one was there so I started entering the roundabout all the sudden this red car just appears right beside me honking his horn. Then once we exited the roundabout, he swerved in front of me. As he swerved in front of me. then he rolled his down screaming claiming, he was already in the roundabout.😂 Then just started swerving in and out of traffic. Not really sure if that guy knew how to drive correctly if he kept swerving in and out of traffic.

she has zero awareness of her surroundings. That, or she didnt honk and move out of the way on purpose. You can literally see the car turn towards the truck.

In what way did she react well? It seemed like she was on her phone with how she drifted into the truck while it was drifting into her and her mental breakdown from pure shock. Would have been less shocking had she been paying attention.

How did the driver around the 5:00 minute mark not see that? At 5:04 you can see the cars left signal come on as the 3rd last car is passing by it toward the cammer, you could very clearly see for a good 5 seconds at least that signal was on and he was intending to pull off from the curb and the car starts moving almost immediately as the last car passes it. Imo cammer was 100% at fault there for turning into on comming traffic since the car was moving before their turn started.
