    I got an 8000, paired with a Nomad Design offshore spin 40 - 80lb and am running 59lb braid.
    Love it and the colours match which makes it look like almost like a factory combo.

      Mate. I did the same! I got the Nomad Design 20-30lbs and matched it with a 4000. They are meant to be!

    I bought a 4000. Not sure that I'll take it outside, I'd rather just play with the big handle as I watch fishing videos.

    Hi mate,
    thanks for your review. I have a Daiwa seajigger M 30-100g, I use it for flicking lures for Tailor, Salmon....... form the beach and rocks. I thought this reel, but I am not sure If it's right or too strong and maybe the BG MQ could be better. Which size do you recommend?
    Thanks

    • @TackleWest
      @TackleWest  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate the BG MQ is the same physical body as the SALTIST MQ. I think if you want lightweight the 6000 would be good but if you don’t mind a little heavier you can also look at the 8000

    I have a bg4000 and a 5000. The body on the 5000 is massive. Compared to the 4000. The 5000 on my slowpitch jigging rod is like a knuckle buster. Is the mq smaller?
    My mate has the 5000 saltiga yes top of the range but is way smaller.

    • @TackleWest

  • @saqaleka

    I have been using this reel size 20,000 in Fiji for 4 months now. Great reel but the drag is way too silent. They need to make it much louder. You will struggle to hear the sound of the drag over your motor if you are trolling with it. Wonder if I can tinker with it to make it louder...

    • @TackleWest
      @TackleWest  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I thought this model had a reasonably loud clicker especially compared to the last model saltist. Maybe it might be worth replacing the clicker in the one you have.

    Daiwa Saltiga is the only reel that is good enough to buy.
    All others have tactics to improve profit 📈 margins of Daiwa..some crazy oil stuff that has to be applied after 2 -3 heavy fishing 🎣.
    Shimano is way better.
